Sylas just kept his head down, feeling ashamed of himself, and confused. He didn't care about how he felt, what he cared about was how the other people around him felt, and at the moment all he could feel was the anger and disappointment and it was all his fault. He crumbled to the ground bursting into confused tears. Somehow even by trying to make someone else happy all he had done was made everyone around him upset. He wanted to run and hide again, running off would make everything better. No one could be disappointed in him because they wouldn't have to deal with him.

Sighing Dementia looked down at her older brother. It was always this way. He would always end up in tears when something got too confusing for him. "He doesn't understand property or having something of his own.. Dad tried to explain it and he just doesn't understand."

Aqua nods vigourously. "Yeah! What she said!!" She kneels down next to him, and gives him another hug. "You didn't do nuthin' wrong, you just shouldn't give away something that's yours!"

Niko lets go of Aqua wrist as she kneels down, and takes Sere from Sil's arms, and squeezes her, whispering fiercely "Sere, unless you shut up and be a good girl, you're gonna be grounded again, till you're in college!"

Sere spits off to the side, and folds her arms over her mothers, glaring at the floor.

Avani feels Sylals lean his head on her shoulder, and squeezes him again, smiling, and using a vine to wipe her eyes. "I-I know I might be over-bearing, but I mean well, Sylas, I really do! I just want to try. . . and make things right"

Ritsu nodded, and decided that maybe this man was as nice as Rime-san, and would forgive him for all his faults, which were more numerous than the stars.

"O-okay, Sei-san. I believe you." There wasn't a smile, but he did look like he had warmed up to the older demon a little.

((gah. That sounds odd, doesn't it? Warming up to a demon. *grin*))

Meanwhile, Rime had headed up to the apartment, humming a little tune as she went. That had gone surprisingly well. Ritsu hadn't started his apologetic rants, she met someone new and who seemed very nice, and Ritsu was going to go play with the other children. One of whom was Avery.

She had hoped Avery and Ritsu would get along better, but they were almost polar opposites. Where Ritsu was timid and overly apologetic, Avery was bold, and sometimes failed to realize he might be offending someone. But he was also loyal to a fault, and since Ritsu was his brother, Rime knew that he would defend the older boy against any sort of bullying. If Sei doesn't take care of it first, that is. Rime thought.

She ducked into the apartment, and headed to the computer to empty the memory card into the hard drive.


Sybil was prowling, but she had yet to actually find anyone. She paused again, slumping against the wall, and worked on deciding which way felt right to go. She felt a sort of tugging to her right, so she shrugged, and followed the gentle urging to keep moving.

((hm. I just realized... Sybil is sort of Hana-chan-esque, isn't she?))

"Oh good." Sei's smile was friendly, and he tousled Ritsu's hair affectionately. Kid was awfully shy, but really not bad at all.

"Yep, she went to print the pictures out. Ready to put a puzzle together?" Sei put a hand lightly on Ritsu's shoulder, both to let the other two kids know that he meant to include the boy and to reassure Ritsu.

Spiro eyed the older man with pure uncertainty, one of those rare moments where his emotion was shown clearly.. He moved so that he was standing behind Colette, being that Avery was speaking to the other already... The quiet boy the stared down towards the floor, feeling rather unnerved and a bit intimidated by the situation.. He didn't bother to say anything, and seemed a bit out of it until his new mouse companion sniffed at his cheek lightly.. He flinched slightly at first, startled, and then he gave the faintest of smiles and reached up to pet the creature stationed on his shoulder between the ears.

(Quite sorry for the wait, I've been rather busy.)

Spiro had been quite content merely standing there in silence with his mouse companion, but unfortunately he was being spoken to. And he was always to listen when spoken to. His head turned, mismatched gaze coming to rest on the timid male who had said something to him about Alexei... A smile that seemed to come all too easy was given, and an almost reassuring look- Ritsu reminded him of something, or someone... He couldn't remember. He didn't want to. He picked the little creature up from his shoulder, "Don't worry about it, I don't mind..." He held him out a bit, "His name's Alexei... Yuki gave him to me..." It was odd to see Spiro acting so warmly towards another being so openly, but.... It was just because.... Of the way Ritsu acted... It reminded him of.... H- no. He didn't want to think about those things. Ever.
