Anything can happen, but do not worry. And Genjutsu is not underpowered, if it was then why would Cobra even give it a nerf?

Underpowered might not be the word...maybe...not-structured would be a better way to describe it...either way I just hope they are not all nerfs, because that is far from what the Genjutsu class needs right now.

I think Malfrost is referring to how Genjutsu really only has genjutsu and a bit of ninjutsu to use effectively. Other than that, they don't really have much, just some taijutsu. Genjutsu is scary, but once someone gets close enough to a genjutsu user, the genjutsu user is going to have a really hard time getting out. Of course, getting close to them won't be easy, either, seeing how their genjutsu is really hard to break out of and with the right taijutsu style they could try and make up for that weakness, maybe? I don't know, never had a genjutsu user before.
Although, Malfrost, don't worry, it's not too bad. Judging from what I've skimmed through, the nerfs are really just restrictions on what the genjutsu user can do while casting a genjutsu.

Genjutsu isn't really being nerfed, its system is being defined more clearly.
