Death the Gal's mouth formed a perfect 'o' and she let out a soft "Oh....." She stared at the wall behind her sister's head, almost as if expecting it to tell her what to do. She bit her lip.
"Huh." She said finally. Gal shifted her vision to Loic and smiled awkwardly, picking out her next words carefully. "Well, the reunion is still going on. Perhaps you two can find partners here?" Gal chuckled as she fiddled with the lace on the v-neck of her dress.
Loic once again got the feeling that he was intruding in something. Reading people was a strong point of his, and he could feel the awkwardness oozing from Gal. Whatever Dina had said had definately changed his predicament.
"Fair enough." He said coolly. "I can stay here and see if I find a partner. Pleasure meeting you two." He dipped his head a little as a farwell and walked away, running a pale hand through his hair.
'Urk. I suppose it has come to this.'
Loic cleared his throat and began to preach.
"Ladies and gents, fellow meisters and weapons. We all came here for a common reason, so let's not dawdle or skip around the subject." An idea came to his head. Why not? He wanted to implement American stuff, right? "Let's - get to the point. I'm an weapon, and I need a meister. My transformation is that of an armour, but I'm equally balanced in offense. Anybody willing to pair up?"
Gal was a bit shocked at Loic's strightfowardness. Some guts he has!
"I see!" She told her partners giddily. "Let's head home, why dont we?"

 Mel watched as Gal and her weapons left, then turned to hear the boy who was standing with them make a speech to the whole party. She stood there kinda shocked and frankly astonished that he had the guts to do something like that. 'Wow he pretty strightforward isnt he?' she thought to herself 'Its kinda like im at home again with the general and his eager little military pups of boys.' Oddly enough this brought a smile to her face. 'Then again he is right, we came here for a puropose.' So with that she straightened her Miester tag, fixed her skirt and started for the party, but paused next to the boy and looked at him. "You know you should be careful with that straightforwardness of yours, you might scare some people off." She said giving him a sweet smile.

 Courtney looks around and frowns. "No weapons here...I can never do a mission.." She says quietly as she puts the punch down.

Loic Looked back at Mel, meeting her steady eyes with his ice blue ones. "You wouldn't be the first to say so. My sister berates me about it often, but she doesn't seem to understand that straightforwardness picks off the pricks easily." He stated his philosophy clearly before sticking his hand out, his eyes never wavering.
"Loic Garnier, nice to meet you. You're a meister - are you interested in testing our compatability? But let me say this: though my wavelength isn't exactly the easiest to ride on, I will definately make it worthwhile." He deadpanned. Knowing his family history, Garniers didnt match up with just anyone. They were naturally picky and attracted to royalty. He was certain that with his solid personality, it wouldn't be easy to find a partner.
Solid Venom was not a nickname he did not live up to.

She reached out and took his hand "Melanie Wickham," she stated with a firm shake "a pleasure to meet you Loic." It seems all those etiquette classes her family made her take were coming in handy even in a place this far from home. "And yes I would like to see if we are compatible." This place was so different from the Queen's ball, in fact it was nothing like it... and she was absoulutely loving it. "Oh and dont worry about me" she smirked "I think I'll be able to handle my self." Although she may look small and weak Mel was actually quite strong, I mean her family is known for their strength and resilentness, so this should be a piece of cake right?

Zen walked through the crowd and gave a big sigh "There are so many and I can't find not a one with a wavelength that resonates with mine." It wasn't his imagination either cause he tried once but failed miserably as the guy he was talking to had no idea that they wouldn't go well together. "I honestly might have to call today a bust" he said as he sat down at a nearby empty bench. He slumped down as he saw all these people passing by with partners and what not. "GAHHHHH" he yelled not caring if anyone was staring "I just want a partner that can turn into an awesome weapon"

LOIC'S CURRENT WEAPON FORM - RIGHT ARM ONLY.
LOIC GARNIER.
He shrugged. "We'll see."
A light sheen of blue energy wrapped around his feet, rising up until it covered him completely, an etheral wind moving his hair.
Then he began to crack.
And shattered in hundreds of slivers of raw energy.
The shards flew and reformed neatly on Mel's right arm, the glow incredibly strong. The energy dulled quickly and in its place lay a metallic armour, going from her fingertips to her shoulder. The shoulder blade had a deadly edge, and on it was an insignia of a dragon - snake. The Garnier seal.
There was a strange contraption on the wrist. If she willed it, Mel could call it and it would jut out into a handle reaching to her fingertips. If she pulled it back, it could let loose 2 different types of arrows. Or, if she smacked the top of her wrist, Loic could activate a shield. But should it become close combat, she would only need to touch the enemy with the armour to cause immediate damage. Acidic properties were embbed in the armour.
But this knowledge could be explained later. First up was matching wavelengths.
He closed his eyes and tried to reach for her soul, trying to capture its wavelength and wrap his around hers.
But the wavelength was escaping him.
He strained to understand it, but he could only feel a singeing pain from incomapatability.
He struggled some more until he felt her understood most of it.
It wasn't perfect - there was a slight disconnection bringing him a slight burn - , but it was a start.
'Well?' He asked through resonance. He wondered if it sounded static-like. His grandma told him that if a resonance wasnt completely established, it would be a bit difficult to hear a person's thoughts. Like a radio or something.
'How- bzzt- I?'

((If you havent done so yet, I suggest reading Loic's prof and see what he is capable of doing. But it makes sense that you wouldnt know EVERYTHING from the beginning, and that you cant USE everything from the beginning.
Its a process.))

Mel stood ready and determined, she watched as he turned into a glowing blue light that started to wrap around her right arm. She could feel butterflies filling her stomach. She was getting nervous. Her soul started to waver. She wasnt use to this, being so close to another soul.
She watched the light disappear and the armour on her arm appear. It was kinda tight and heavy, and there was this dull pain that seemed to seep throughout her arm. With this her soul was all over the place and the pain seemed to worsen with it.
I just need to calm down, she thought to herself, just calm down and let his soul get close to mine so we can match our wavelengths. She closed her eyes and let out a long deep breath. Her soul started to ease up and so did most of the pain.
She could hear Loic's voice, although a little fuzzy, he was asking how it was. Its not perfect, a little tight, but nothing i cant handle. I guess im just not really use to this, she anwsered back hoping he could hear her more clearly.

Nixi tiredly looked around at everyone, adjusting her "weapon" tag, so that it could be easily seen. "I should be sleeping now....but I have to find a partner....." she mused, yawning. "What will wake me up?"

Loic was happy to say that he understood the gist of what she was saying. A partnership like this would work after all.
'Let's just say - zttt- experience with others. Not fun. You -krack- easiest I've resonated with. I suppose -krzzzt- practice later. It's resonable considering that -zzzzzzzzzztttttt- Enough for now.''
He let her tense and wriggling soul escape from his grip as he shattered into energy and rematerialized in front of her again. He felt allieviated, but at least it wasnt as bad as when he had to transform for a snotfaced meister from his old school....
"That didn't go badly. In fact, I'd say it was stupendous for a first time." For the first time that night, he geniunly smiled. "I was worthwhile after all, wasn't I?"

Loic released himself from her arm, taking the weight with him and appeared before her again. She kinda blamed her self for letting her soul run a little wild, but glad that there was a connection.
She looked up at him as he talked to her. Stupendous for a first time? Melanie wasnt use to hearing stuff like that. No then only things she got was what she did wrong and to just fix it.
She was a little stunned, but it made her happy and when he smiled at her she could help but smile back. "Yes you were."

Loic jerked his head to the side to shift some dark strands from his eyes. He tried his best to not appear overly exuberant. After all, he who could never get along with temporary Meisters for classes in Germany managed to get a partner on his first try! He felt proud. Would but Grandmother Medina see him now! She might've even forgiven him for leaving their mansion palace thing.
"So. Would you like to be partners then?" He asked, gently reaching for her hand. A shot of deja vu hissed through his veins, but it didn't ring any bells. He never had a legitimate partner before.
Well, unless his sister Linda counted, but otherwise...?

She looked up into his blue eyes, hers filled with excitment, and took his hand, "Partners" she agreed with a slight nod of her head.
And for the first time she was actually happy. Happy to be somewhere other than that big empty house of hers back in London. Happy at the fact that she now had a partner of her own.
I wonder what the general would think of this? the thought creeped into the back of her mind, but she quickly pushed it out. She was happy in this moment and she wanted it to last just a little bit longer.
