So, if we were chunin prior to the timeskip and became jounin we now have to take an exam?
correct. It will be a "Jounin exam." (we just call it chunnin exams because thats what everyone remembers and knows it by. Technically their is a jounin exams as well at the same time)

Why are we being forced to take the exams? -tilts head curiously-
It was originally required for people to pass the exams to be promoted, and then a lul in Mod activity held the exams on back log, making us rely on the AC system to allow promotions. Now that we have a decent mod crew, as well as a new arc, we might as well bring it back. No one is leaving their village proper, and its time to spark some in village on village interaction. and come one! Free prizes!!!

yes but due to the fact you have the decent mod crew you've opened an new can of worms by forcing people to join, as your not taking into account that some people don't want to join. it's a great idea to have a chunin exams... but forcing people to join will most likely be its downfall.

They still get to keep their advancement, even if they fail miserably. But the prizes that are at stake will be worth fighting for, and may performance may affect potential village standings......the world may never know

yes but here is where you didn't look at:
- Chuunin exams will take time, since all people who joined will have to wait for another person and so forth which means the forced people are going stir crazy due to the fact they can't move their rpc away.
- Two without any Idea of the prizes, whats stoping them on just half-hearted rping? they don't want to be there, and really just want to most likely leave.
- Prizes would be rewarded after the exams right? Well how ticked do you think forced members would be if the mystery prizes didn't live up to expectations and spent time in one place for so long for them? While they would be better off just doing their missions. Honestly it's something that stops productivity due to members being angry at the crew and can't complain due to the ALMIGHTY ban hammer.

Solutions for this
- let only the people who WANT to do the exams go, you'll have a lot better time. You'll get heartfelt rpers and patient people to deal with the time it would take for a full scaled exam.
- Throw a bone gives us a few of the known lesser prizes and one big one to kinda give a goal of why we should join. you can keep a lot of other prizes under wraps but throw a bone, give a goal, get more people who want to go if you reveal a reward or two.

In short, Ease into it, don't go forcing people

This depends on how many people will actually sign up. If no one sign up, then im sure my hand is forced. If you really dont wanna go, maybe get others to sign up?

I'm not going either way... I'm not one of the people forced. The fact you think your hand is forced by forcing people to join will only be a tremendous downfall as making your members mad will cause any guild to die. No one is forcing your hand but you are forcing theirs.

Again if you want people to sign up, throw them a bone, if the prizes are as good as you say they are, then people will surely without a doubt join and deal with time it takes for the chunin exams. Just reveal a few of these awesome prizes to get the blood flowing.

It's your call either way: force the members despite their wishes and make them mad, or dangle a treat in front of them and give them a reason to join willingly.

I ask you would you want to do anything you were specifically forced to do? or would you get more excited if you knew exactly what you were shooting for? With that think about it for a bit from a members standpoint

Dangle a big 'ol bag of AC for the winner, some smaller portions for those competing as well as other prizes, and you will have a much better turnout.

I, for one, will be there regardless. Fighting is my strong suit.

In all seriousness, it will be well worth the trip of everyone going. The more people who go, the bigger and better the AC and Ryo rewards are. If all people are worried about is leveling up, then having a bunch of matches and gaining AC should only heighten their desire to go. tag a bag of nice prizes and bonuses onto that, their shouldnt be a reason anyone stays behind...they will miss alot of opportunities that wont come around again...

and thank you for the support! i will tell you though, its not all going to be straight one v one matches....

Just wanted to point something out. Umm~ there's a desperate lack of active and at least fairly developed or trained genin i this guild I mean we've got scores of them scattered about but a lot of the genin characters seem to have been neglected or just plain old inactive or un-updated by the member. Looking around there's only a few characters who'd just by looking at the profile would attend because they had a good go of it with learning techs.
Even your leaf village genin isn't quite up to snuff like a quite a few others. I'd say a training prep period is in order, but i haven't really seen ho long this exam listing has been up. if anything else we're just poor on activity.

So we got something of an inactivity issue~ Booo~
Hmm, so who's actually available around here? I might loo into this but in the mean time I might train a little myself and prod around. Though I think some people might have been pulled away by life from spring break and whatever other stuff might be up with them. This is where talking it out with the people would get you a good sense of the guilds pulse.

Now I'm off! -wonder reaper~-

I will not argue about the prizes that can be, but the fact of the matter is people DON'T wanna be stuck there without knowing what they are getting out of it. The more people there the longer it takes to finish, and the longer they don't have freedom of movement. I have seen stuff like this take 1 to 3 monthes and thats for people who want to be there. I don't think you want forced people to rp there if it does take that long... this isn't something you can end in a week as that wouldn't be fair.

Not to mention they have to wait for others to post who have to go to work or school, etc (some of these most assuredly DON'T have the time to be forced). Now if you can tell me that while waiting for their opponent they will get more AC and Ryo then taking the time to do missions and not wait for another person, and completing the chuunin exams then I will stay quiet. Please note everyone has a different type speed and time to quickly finish missions and training.

There are many reasons to stay behind and go about it how they have been. you need to respect that, and draw them in with another method. Force will just make people rather angry.

If your being swarmed with too much to do why are you doing it to others? seriously just state some of the rewards (that aren't just AC or Ryo) and you will get people to join. If the prizes are mouthwatering enough I know for a fact that I and another person would join in the heart beat... but I won't if I have no idea what im getting myself into
