After having left the Hokage's office, Jun had decided to get a little taijutsu training out of the way. She'd head into the dojo and find the proper scrolls, looking over the first stages of both Taijutsu she wished to learn. The first technique was a little confusing and Jun had to read over it a couple of times to be able to get the idea of what was wanted. Moving over to the nearest available training dummy, Jun slowly went through the movements. Spinning on one foot, bringing her arms up and using the momentum, it seemed simple enough.

Jun would practice the move on the training dummy a couple of times more. Her movements became more fluid the more she practiced, keeping her back to the dummy before spinning and then bringing her hands up to land an open palm strike beneath the dummy's chin. It was a good, defensive maneuver for if someone tried to attack her from behind. She just wished the training scroll had better described how to do the move. Perhaps more detail and a sort of step by step instructions so that the idea of the attack would be much clearer.

The next technique for Pi Qua Quan was merely a stance that would help her to move and be more flexible. It seemed like a pain to just practice a stance but it was probably for the best, maybe. If she could strengthen her muscles and hold the stance for a long while before going into a battle, then that would be all the better for her. Looking over the instructions in the training scoll, Jun had the right idea for what the stance was. Basic crouch, one knee bent, arms up.

Getting into the stance, Jun practiced holding it for as long as she could. It seemed like a rather strange stance but Jun supposed she could see how it helped her to be flexible. Or how it allowed her to use her flexibility, she was not quite sure either way. She would hold it until her thighs began to burn, she'd take a break to shake out her legs, and then resume the stance. It turned out that she could hold the stance for a good amount of time, long enough that the opponent wuold probably attack by now. If not, she could work on holding the stance for longer periods of time.

Standing, Jun stretched out her legs before putting the Pi Qua Quan scroll aside for now. Next would be the Xinyi scroll. This style of taijutsu would be more difficult to learn since it did require her to her chakra. As she looked over the first stage, Jun began to realize that using chakra was only half of the difficulty of Xingyi. As she read over the first stage, the dark haired woman's brow furrowed. Meditation? Envisioning fire? Enhancing techniques?

As she read over the techniques, Jun began to understand the purpose of these techniques. They could enhance lower level techniques and make them stronger in some way. That did seem to make sense, although meditation was not Jun's ideal way of training. Sighing softly, Jun supposed that the first step would be to meditate a bit. She'd take a seat, her back against the wall and crossing her legs. She'd close her eyes and do her best to meditate on fire. That was supposed to be the whole point of this meditation, always moving, exploding, spreading quickly. All about speed.

This all seemed rather boring, but Jun was starting to see the idea of it. It was all a spiritual sort of thing, fire was meant to represent speed and the focus would cause her own attacks to speed up. Knowing it was a state of mind that was to affect her abilities with the help of chakra, Jun opened her eyes and stood up. She approached the nearest available training dummy, fists up to as she thought about fire. Then she began to strike, the whole state of mind thing seeming to work since there was a noticeable difference in the speed of her punches. Not bad, perhaps the first stage of Xingyi would be useful after all.

The next technique seemed a little more passive for her liking. Jun had stopped and looked over the scroll again, seeing that the next technique would have her meditating on earth. It would help her defense, to either stop techniques or to redirect them. Depending on the amount of chakra she put into the state of mind sort of techniques, she could over power or match other techniques up to a certain amount. At least that was her understanding of it, she'd have to do a bit more research on Xingyi just to make sure she was correct.

Sitting with her back against the wall once more, Jun began to meditate on earth. Solid, firm, strong... yet active underneath? What did that even mean? Well, she did hear that the ground moved below, it was why earthquakes happened. The monks who invented this style really did have some strange ideas but in a way it made sense. In a peaceful, monk sort of way at least. Earth made sense as an element of defense in a way that fire seemed to be an element of speed. Either way, there was no point in questioning it, she just had to focus and meditate on it.

After spending more than enough time thinking about earth, Jun asked for the help of a random Konoha shinobi. Requesting that he attack her, the kunoichi used the state of mind to prepare herself. When he began throwing punches, Jun would start either redirecting them so that they would not hit her or stopping them outright. Thinking of earth, defensive, strong, yet still moving, Jun was able to better increase her defensive abilities. After she had blocked or deflected enough of his attacks, she signaled for him to stop and thanks him for his time. So far so good with her training, yet there was still plenty more to learn.

Three more techniques and then the first stage of Xingyi would be done. It was certainly a lot of work and focus put into learning meditative states. Not to say that it was not worth it, but Jun was starting to feel bored. Maybe she would learn a technique or two more after these last three techniques and then go over to the academy to learn more. For now though, she just had to power through learning this techniques. Or at least learn them as quickly as possible since it was just about meditation for the most part.

Taking her usual seat, Jun sighed and began thinking of metal. Powerful, decisive, sharp... metal would increase her power in techniques. Power would definitely be good if she was dealing with a touch opponent, then she could do real damage. Or if there was some sort of defense up, then she could try to smash it down. To be like metal would be strong enough to over power the opponent in almost any situation. Jun imagined her body becoming hard like metal, all of that spiritual, mental stuff that the monks liked to think about.

Feeling as though she had the state of mind down, Jun stood and approached the same training dummy again. Putting her hands up, fists at the ready, she thought of the power of metal and began punching. So far it seemed as if nothing was happening, but then she could hear the dummy begin to creak and crack , something that had not happened with her own meager strength before. Jun continued punching until she was satisfied she had the state of mind down before slowing to a stop. So far so good, two more to go and then she could either leave or stay to continue training.

Kira would walk into the dojo and wait. She had a feeling she needed to be here, so she was here. Her usual darkness emanating from her core. Her head was down, per the usual, and her hands were in her pockets. As she walked in, the others training gave her a wide berth, as she walked over, she would stand in front of her new sensei, silent as always. Her intent ever unclear.

Taka came into the dojo, Koshi in tow. The massive animal took a spot near the wall, close to taka but enough to be out of her way. Taka took her back stance foot and swept it in an arc behind her, dragging the floor, and her arms slowly came up showing her steel fans. She flicked them open, the sunburst style blades gleaming in the lit dojo, looking positively lethal. She brought the fans around very slowly in the same arc, the blades singing in the air around her. She emphasized a slow cut to roughly where the persons thigh would roughly be. The fans came up as she shifted her stance, pulling her leg back inward until she was roughly at attention, her fans slowly closing against her legs then her arms would push out, fans closed but points till quite capable of tearing into flesh. She swung these hard toward the same spot she originally hit with her first slice to the leg, a much larger and more dangerous sound coming from them as they moved through the air. She spun her bag leg around the same way as before, pushing her fans out and opening them as they spun. She took one fan and let it fall closed before tossing it hard at a target, sinking it roughly two inches deep before pulling hard on a line of chakra, the fan slipping out of the wood and sailing back into her hands. she released the other, doing the same thing to a second target. She let her fans drop from her hands, five inches of chakra lines holding them, tethered to her as she brought the lethal flail-like fans around her in glittering arcs. She cut swaths across various targets, little lines two inches deep showing from the targets. She shrunk the lines back into her hands, going into a more dangerous dance of cuts, all shining in the light of the dojo as she displayed her dances. Koshi knew better than to get closer to her as she ran through this routine as her movements where to become faster and faster as she cut geometric shapes into the air utilizing the twin instruments of death. Finally she spun and came to a halt, her eyes shut as her steel fans clicked shut in their locked position. She tossed the fans while closed, towards the floor, taking a chip out of it, as they bounced to her hands. She caught them several times, performing the same maneuver over and over again. The maneuver became simple as she bounced them off of different objects, each time having her fans sail back to her hands. She snapped them open and tossed them again, the fans sailing towards the targets in the room, slicing them in half and the fans arching around to her, her hands extending and grabbing the back of the fans and twisting to fling them out again and segmenting the falling pieces of the targets, those fans arching again back to her hands. She spun around near the floor, the fans slicing through the air as she let them go again cutting another target in half, those fans quickly coming back to her to be tossed again in the same method. Her chakra started to become visible around her, as she spun with those blades. She started the close range kata again, her fans once more cutting shapes into the air as she focused her chakra in the way she would normally use her illusions. Her chakra shook and to onlookers her swings would just appear to be coming from a different dirrection. |

╔══════════════════════════╗ [Ninjutsu/Bukijutsu] | [Konohagakure] | [Chuunin] | [Katon -- Fuuton] 「 The Uchiha heir made his way into the Dojo for some training first before heading off to do missions. Judging from his previous practice in the Kiss of Flesh and Steel, they were rather easy going. He grabbed a scroll and read over the moves he wished to learn. These however, would take a bit more concentration. This move was called the Cold Lips technique. Kazama would need a sparring partner to perform this one, along with the other he had to do, the Rude Kiss. Kazama spotted a shinobi, a new Chuunin much like Kazama himself. Kazama brought his sword up to him and smiled "Hey there, wanna spar?" The man nodded and tightened his headband, Kazama smirked and led him to an appropriate training area in the dojo. The boy started right off the bat, he was unlike the genin he had trained with before. Chuunin were much more, cut throat. He didn't tell Kazama when he was attack which made Kazama jump a bit, a bit of a rude awakening it was. He switched tactics and decided to train Rude Kiss. Bringing up his weapon for a deadlock. He blocked the attack and the chuunin smiled at Kazama with an evil grin. He lifted his weapon and Kazama dropped his weapon a bit then kicked it back up with his knee and clashed again.

Kazama saw as the face of his attacker changed form happy to a bit pissed off, the other chuunin was hoping for a quick bullying session. Kazama was stronger then what he had expected. Kazama kept the deadlock going until the man pulled back and flipped trying to kick Kazama in the face, Kazama ducked to the side and rolled off. Kazama got back up and looked at the man dead in the eye's, he was calm while the other man was almost in a fit of rage. People began to gather as if it were a fight. Kazama looked at hie opponent ignoring the crowd. "To lead an orchestra, you must turn your back to the crowd." He said to himself and then saw as his target charged, sword to his side. Kazama adjusted his weapon and took an breath and focused his mind. Then, when the man was a few feet away, Kazama saw the opportunity! Kazama took a heavy footed slash at the weapon, completely deflecting the sword and then Kazama stepping in, giving a quick jab to the stomach. The man coughed and fell to the ground, everyone around's jaw dropped, the guy was huge and Kazama took him down.

Kazama formed a clone for this next jutsu. This wasn’t the place to be training this kind of jutsu, but he hoped no one cared too much. Placing his hands together with one single hand seal, he would try to make an effort of making this clone explode. As the hand seal was executed, the clone simply dispersed into a puff of smoke. Kazama sighed, placing his hands together, three clones appearing at his side. They all went to the farther side of the dojo, just in case he did make an explosion, he didn't want to hurt himself or others. Beginning with the first clone, he would form a single hand seal, in an attempt to make the clone explode. Nothing had occurred as the clone was still there. It was hard to focus with two other clones nearby, so he had them move so he could just focus on the main clone. Trying again, he formed a single hand seal, pouring all of his concentration onto that one clone. Within a few moments, the clone had dispersed into a puff of smoke, the same as the last one. Kazama sighed, as this technique was a lot harder than he expected. Moving on to the next clone, he had the third clone move out his line of sight for better concentration. Forming the single hand seal, he would then set his mind onto the clone and nothing else. The clone had dispersed into a puff of smoke, but something had been different this time. The puff of smoke seemed more powerful. He thought he felt a small gust of wind, and the puff of smoke in size was a little larger than usual. Kazama smiled, happy was he getting the hang of the technique. Focusing on the last clone, completely confident in himself, he formed a single hand seal. The clone dispersed into an even larger form of smoke, with much more power than the last. A sound could be heard from it, although it wasn't a loud booming sound, Kazama knew he was making progress. All out of clones, he placed his hands together, forming a single hand seal as a clone appeared by his side. As distance between them began to increase, Kazama focused on this clone, sure that this would be it. Forming the single hand seal, the clone instantly dispersed into a powerful explosion. The mass of the smoke was large, as pieces of wood and metal from the wooden training dummies passed, and a stronger gust of wind past by. A loud booming sound echoed through the dojo. It seemed Kein decided to visit the dojo. Taka relaxed a bit against koshi, taking a break from her kenjutsu training to watch his chakra. She wasnt good at sensing but could wrap her mind around the levels of said chakra as it rose and fell. He was training it seemed, strengthening his chakra, something she still needed to do. She started forming seals herself, working on the speed and chakra formation as she flexed her own chakra. She had her hands ignite as she was forming the seals, practising the speed of which she could form her various katon stages. She pushed her chakra up through the five states and then brought it back down, to nothing. Those seals still moving all the while, her hands felt warm which was probably expected as they were on fire. She kept those seals coming, jumping straight to the peak that she could take her chakra to, waves of heat coming off her ignited hands. She felt her chakra rising a little more than it should but she pressed that chakra trying to make it more flexible by extending it. She pushed her chakra straight through the stages again, feeling a bit strained. She brought it up a final time and then slowly brought it back down so she didnt get that tingly feeling in her arms she didnt like. She frowned at slight chakra burns along her forearm from the peak of her katon techniques. She pushed the burns aside from her mind and started over, rising her chakra once more and letting it fall while making handseals as her hands ignited. She waved those ignited hands through seals she used in almost every combat situation, activating several genjutsu before shutting them down She pushed through a final set of seals, both of her hands igniting in hot flames, making taka's form shimmer from the waves it was putting off. She shut her hands turning off the fire. She focused more on her illusion seals rather than risking her hands further, as various illusins were set off, no particular targets. Anyone that got caught by them, was unintentional and the illusion would only last less than a second before dispelling and being replaced by another. She did this roughly ten times before stopping and considering her taijutsu. She was still watching Kein while doing this, semi interested in how someone with more experience would go about this. ""
