..What?! They were so low! But, Catrina had tried her best in capturing that bird! Unappreciative little - ugh! She was practically steaming as she heard the score of the pair's, her mind going as fast as can be in an attempt to find out just what she could make next. Dessert, huh? Catrina didn't normally eat dessert, because it couldn't possibly beat a freshly killed rodent~ But, a dessert was really just a treat, wasn't it? What was a treat..? ..Mm.. Oh! Of course! Her hands went up to the headband and pulled out a few rolled up leaves stuffed behind there - catnip! She always kept a few on her, just to relax~ She didn't want to have to use it for this, but they had left her no choice! Without any further thought, she dropped it on the plate and crossed her arms. She'd like to see someone beat that!

LAST PLACE. The words kept ringing in her head as soon as she saw their score. But.. B-but.. how? Benedetta prided her cooking skills! She knew she was better than anyone in her family! She wasn't conceited or something and thought that she could win the whole contest, but she didn't think she'd lose to baboon, let alone Benedek! She looked like she would honestly start to cry right then. Here she had thought Hayden would be impressed, but she was turning out to be a horrid cook..! Oh.. Oh, but that just meant she would have to work harder! She could earn something again! So, she made the only French dessert that came to mind - Buche de Noel! It wasn't anywhere near the right season for it, but it was the only dessert she knew how to make very well! So, without further ado, she started in a flurry to get that log done~!

...Poor Lucas. He had only been looking at the ingredients, wondering what they would make when a sudden contact met the back of his head. Then everything went dark... and the floor was so comfy all of a sudden. He'd probably be there until the festival ended... most likely dragged back to the duplex.

Cookie sandwiches? Hm... Hayden had to wonder how they weren't disqualified from the festival already. Maybe it was out of pity. Yes, it was definitely out of pity. Once again, Benedek made the mess and ducked under the table... leaving Hayden to do something about it. "All right... let's see what we can do" said the male to himself. What could be done? Hm, some sprinkles and whipped cream! Maybe a cherry too! Hey that didn't look too bad!

Somehow, dropping down to a lower position had helped Mei's nerves. They were falling, but at least it was an appropriate ranking. They had gotten so many zero's the last round~ It made her relaxed. It was like she had reached a place beyond fear, humiliation, and frustration. Was this what enlightenment felt like? It wasn't so bad, now she got why her grandmother talked about it so often.
That's when Catrina dropped a plant onto a plate and shoved it over. What was this? Some sort of herb? Wait, no, catnip! Of course it would be catnip! Mei could feel herself start to get tense. How was that a dessert? Well, it was her job to make it look nice, so maybe should take some artistic liberty? And so, moving the plate away from the cat girl's gaze, Mei grabbed a bottle of chocolate syrup and put a few drops on top of the catnip. Sure, it probably wouldn't taste any better, but she didn't want to be disqualified for not making a dessert. And desserts need sugar!

Chocolate? Ice cream? A bowl? Yes! Yes! The monkey was ingenious! Such talent! Reinbach should have thought of that by himself, but he hadn't! Thankfully, the baboon had been there to remind him of a great french Desert! A Mont Blanc! Ah, the sweetness of chocolate and icecream mixed with the greatness of the French! Yes! Oui! He would do it and they would win and...what was happening? NO! NO! THE CAKE WAS FALLING APAPRT! Why wasn't it standing up staight? Reinbach was yelling at it to stay like it was supose too, but it just didn't want to listen! That...that...THAT PEASANT CAKE! crying .
So there he was, sitting in a corner, crying and eating icecream with Florence while their failed mont blanc was melting on the table...

Needless to say, Xeiro was extremely pissed. He knew his cockiness had gotten the best of him with the cooking, but did the judges all need to be that cruel?! He was cursing everything under the sun at this point. But, once all of the judgings were done and new scores announced, he knew he had to get down to business. After all, it was the dessert round. That was where he shined. This was where it would make or break him! Surely, he couldn't ruin this. He thought of all of the recipes he knew and quickly decide on one. He began searching and sifting through everything, this needed to be great. He'd never get over it if he ended at the bottom this year, and he was sure Bela wouldn't let him hear the end of it.

Beatrice shot a glare at Xeiro that could kill a small gerbil. She had no understanding of how he could ruin the entree, sure, but now he had ruined dessert?! It was on the poor side of mediocre, not as bad as it could have been, but nowhere near as good as it should have been. She sighed and grabbed a platter to hopefully make it look more presentable and tasty than he had done with the baking. The easiest way seemed to make individual cups and set them all together. She looked back over at Xeiro who seemed pissed. Was he getting to cocky? Surely he would know that these things took patience! She wouldn't be surprised if they didn't take his baking license. The buffoon.

Zelynity was honestly just glad that they weren't last. She smiled over at Raiden, who looked like he wanted to run out, arms flailing, and puff on a cigarette the entire way. The thought made her chuckle, but she needed to worry more about the desserts than Raiden. She grabbed three bowls and started making the dough in one, icing in the other, and lastly the creme. She tried to work as efficiently as she could, but was too scared to rush.

It seemed like everything they did was just bound to be average. He forced a smirk and then began getting to work on his part of the deal. He was so glad that this was the last round. He really didn't want to deal with this crap anymore. He needed some ******** nicotine and needed it bad. He grabbed a large plate and started laying the eclairs out. His hands were starting to shake as he did so, ugh. This could not end soon enough.

- Emery watched her sister prepare yet another meal that Emery wasn't going to be trying, but playing with. Which was just as good as eating! They never let her do that with her food at home. Its always, stop playing with your food Emery, stop putting the chicken up your nose Emery, never any fun! But, today was her fun day! And, what was to be her next project? A log! Yum, Emery knew about the log! It was a tasty snack Betta would make for her sometimes and she loved it! She.. loved it a lot. Enough that she wanted to express such admiration by taking a small bit off the log. Then another – a few more – then another handful until.. Uh oh. Emery's greedy hands had left a crumbly mess of the log left behind. Enough for a bite or two.. The most of it being on her shirt! What was she to do? Betta was going to strangle her or WORSE, put her in time out!! Looking about frantically, Emery grabbed some branches from a near by bush in her reach and piled them on the few bites of the log left. Yeah – yeah that'll work! No one will notice. ”Done!” Emery yelped as she hid underneath the table, far from her sister's gaze.

Ahh, time to judge yet again~ This time, Nanami was a little apprehensive. The past two rounds had been filled with less than desirable dishes, and she had seen enough episodes of Top Chef to know that desserts were tricky, and surprisingly different from normal cooking. And so she wasn't sure how people would fare this time around. Not to mention, she wasn't a huge fan of sweets to begin with... Ahh, enough worrying, time to try some food~
She started off with Keith and Quentin! Their last meal had been boring, to say the least. But she still wondered what they had made... Creme brulee? With a strawberry! How cute! It looked a little singed, but that wasn't a bad thing... Maybe this round wouldn't be too bad!

Oh, it wasn't bad! Half-decent, even! The strawberry was a nice touch, Nanami thought, as she set down her spoon and moved onto the next table.
Alanis and Lucas were next. Frankly, Nanami was a little disappointed to see how they were doing. Especially since she vaguely remembered them winning a few years prior! ...Wait, where was Lucas? She glanced around in search of the blonde haired boy for a moment before focusing on their dish instead. Whatever it was, it was pink and pretty and cute! ...A little too sugary looking for her tastes, but it certainly suited Alanis.
