Mina

Mina looked over and up at Meiun and slightly nodded her head as she lightly squeezed his hand. She didn't wish for her memories to forever haunt her and hoped that whatever Meiun did would help with that. 'Yes please dear. I really don't want to wake every night from a nightmare. I don't want all my memories to be reminders of what I did to keep Selene safe from her parent's cruelty.' Hearing everything that was being said between the others Mina just followed and listened for a time before speaking up in a calm, even tone. "I think I agree with Selene, it would be best if we sit and and talk over what our plans are so that there is no risk of someone making a mistake." Mina took a deep calming breath before speaking once more, hoping that what she suggested wouldn't get them all killed. "What I was thinking, and I am just putting this out there for us to talk over later, is that maybe Linda can pretend that she has caught myself, Selene and Meiun as prisoners. While Miron and Riku pretend to be Undead soldiers that were sent with her to capture us. That way none of the guards on watch will think anything of a group entering the castle. Once inside Linda could take her 'prisoners' to King Darian to have him tell her if he wishes them to be sent to the dungeon or not." Pausing as she looked from person o person judging their reactions she spoke again. "I know it isn't the best of plans and I know there are flaws in it but if we are able to discus what we wish to do we could clean it up and make it so there are little to no flaws."

King Darian

Darian looked over at Sienna, feeling her worry.

"What's wrong my love? I can feel your worry..." he said, looking at her. He reached out and pulled her close, wanting to comfort her somehow.

All night staring at the ceiling
Counting the minutes I've been feeling this way
So far away and so alone

Riku could hear Mina talking to Linda and Selene. It seemed when they stopped next, they were going measure to get their exact sizes. The assassin almost let out a sigh of relief at that. However, he didn’t want to seem lazy, or a hater of difficult tasks. Thus, he kept it inside instead. Well, at least with me knowing their sizes, I’ll be able to shop quicker. At the suggestion of black and darker colors for their clothing, Riku nodded slightly. “Black and Dark blues, like navy, are good for stealth. However, dark greens could also work. It depends on what area we will be in as to what colors would do better.” He knew his black would stand out a bit amongst the green of the trees around them. But, it wouldn’t stand out in the shadows. Thus, each color had its disadvantages and advantages when it came to sneaking around. You just got to pick the best one for the particular situation you are in. That is all you can do really. However, his attention was drawn away from Mina at Miron’s voice.

He nodded slightly to his question. “Only if I am able to. It seems like a handy ability and would be useful if my weapons broke on me unexpectedly.” However, as Miron started on with his explanation, Riku frowned slightly. I should have known it wouldn’t be something I could pick up easily. The assassin had no idea if he had any elemental talents or magical abilities in general. As an assassin, Riku had been taught not to rely on anything, including magic. It did make the assassin wonder what it would have been like to be able to wield magic like the others in the group. However, he did not linger on that long as Miron did a little demonstration. His red pools watched as a blade of fire started to form in front of Miron’s hands. Small embers leapt off that blade, seeming to speak of its great elemental power. But, it was vanished all too soon. Damn….Now that weapons looks like something I could use. Then, Miron summoned another blade. This time, it was a blade of light. His gaze focused on it, wondering why the warrior seemed more tired after the light summon than the fire summon. Maybe light is harder to summon because fire is associated with light?

Then, Miron started to go on an explanation about how it required a lot of energy. The assassin listened attentively, making sure to pay attention to the important details….which is this case, was all of what the warrior said. How long it took Miron to master it caused the corners of his lips to tug downward again. Fifty years? I would be an old man in fifty years! Admittedly, Riku had no idea what his race was, other than he wasn’t the Undead. After all, he never really knew the people who gave birth to him. Most of his life was spent in the Assassin Guild, learning the tricks of the trade. However, he had a good gut feeling he wouldn’t be lucky like Miron and be able to live for centuries. Not sure I would want to live that long anyway. Though, does that mean I would not be able to master it then? Let alone learn it? He wanted to ask these questions. But, Miron had yet to finish his speech. His lips pressed into a flat line as the warrior told him about having his own element, and the rarity of being able to summon one without light or dark energy. “I see…what happens if you don’t know your elements?” For a moment, Riku grimaced as he realized the stupidity of that question. Damn it! I should know the answer to that question…but I don’t.

Luckily, a distraction came in the form of Meiun commenting on his earlier comment. His weapon is from the dream world? The assassin wondered if the weapons were forged differently in the other realm. After all, Meiun pointed out that his weapon would never dull or break. But, he decided to keep his curiosity to himself as Meiun went on about putting the guards to sleep. The fact that he would actually have to touch them caused Riku to furrow his eyebrows. Great. I should have known it wouldn’t have been that easy. His expression seemed to perk slightly at Meiun saying he could send a wavelength. However, his expression returned to the hardened look it had before at his final words. “I see…We may have to figure out something else then or just put them to sleep via pressure points. Do you all know those, or would I have to be the one to do the honors?” The great thing about being taught how to be an assassin is that I learned all the pressure points on the body. Like a switch, the pressure points allowed him to do what he wanted to the person. Whether it be to incapacitate them, or put them to sleep, it was all in the way he messed with them, and with which ones he touched.

However, Linda’s voice caused him to raise an eyebrow slightly at her. His mouth moved to refute that statement. But, her next words caused him to shush them. While he hadn’t forgotten they were the Undead, Riku assumed they would still be able to put to sleep like anyone else. After all, they could die like anyone else, and be harmed like anyone else. It just…was a lot harder to do so. At her suggestion, Riku tried not to let his feelings for her get in the way. The idea itself was sound enough. But, there were flaws to it. For one, what happened if that one guy showed up again? For two, what happened if they recognized any of them even through the disguises? Lastly, what happens if the man was right and the King had thought she had betrayed him? There were too many unknowns for him to let it slide. Before he could voice his opinion however, Selene voiced her own opinion. The assassin’s face formed a grimace upon it as an indication of his disapproval. Waste of time in my opinion. The longer we wait, the more screwed we will be. He felt Linda cling unto him then, stopping his mental chiding.

He looked at her as she seemed to be jumpy over something. “What? Did you see something?” His voice kept itself soft, making sure not to be overheard by the others. While his focus shifted to Linda, Riku could hear Mina voicing her agreement of Selene’s idea. We are wasting time people! We need to make a move! The assassin wanted to say that. However, he allowed Mina to voice her own opinion. It was similar to Linda’s, but had its differences. But, it still had the same flaws as the last one. That was just a different wording of the same plan basically. A small sigh left his lips as he gripped Linda’s wrist. He dragged her towards the others, leaving her close to Meiun and Miron before moving ahead of the group. “You all can dilly dally shilly shally all you want. I’m going to go on and scout ahead. That way, we’ll know what is ahead of us.” The assassin couldn’t tell if he just grew annoyed with the group seeming all complacent, or for some other reason. But, whatever it was, it caused him to run as fast as he could, disappearing into the shadows of the forest.

There's no way I'm giving up this time
Yeah, you know I'm right here
I'm not losing you this time.

Joshua Collins

Joshua could hardly believe his luck! The woman had seen him, but before she had been able to tell her companion about him, the man had run off! Oh, Joshua felt that he could nearly laugh at how absurdly easy this was going to be. The others seemed to come almost to a halt then, talking over silly plans and other suchances to get closer to Darian's palace. Joshua stole over to where his target was. Linda was a fool for staying this far back, but she was also a little closer than he would have liked. Slipping out of the shadows silently, he snuck up behind her and slid a cloth in front of her nose. She fell backwards, unconscious from the small dose of the poison he had put on the cloth, and he caught her, pulling her with him back into the shadows of the forest. She seemed lighter than before, and he carried her with ease. When she began to come to, however, she began to struggle and it made it more difficult. Setting her upon the ground, he quickly gagged her before she took a breath to scream, and then bound her hands and feet, her hands behind her back. Glaring at her for a few seconds, he stood, looking around to make sure that her companion, that insufferable assassin, wasn't around. Hearing someone come through the trees though, he immediately took Linda and slung her over a high tree branch, quickly climbing into a high one himself. His dark green clothing helped him blend easily, and by luck, the dress that his prey was wearing was dark green also. When the silver haired Princess had looked around and found nothing, she left, and then Joshua brought himself and Linda to the ground.

"You... You sent me to Darian to be imprisoned and killed..." Joshua whispered into Linda's ear, and took satisfaction in seeing her eyes widen with terror. Now he knew that she was fully awake. He knew that her last experience with him was far from pleasant, and that had instilled a lasting fear of him. This time though, he would not play with her. This time, he would kill her outright and make sure that she was dead before he left.

Linda

Linda went over to Miron and Meiun as Riku dragged her there, but stepped back a few paces after he had left. She hadn't even gotten a chance to tell him that what she had seen had been Joshua's face. A few seconds later, everything went black, and Linda felt herself being lifted. She wasn't fully unconscious, but enough so that she wouldn't be able to move or speak. A zap of fear went through her, and she knew what was happening, even as she began to recover. Someone bound her mouth, and then her wrists and ankles. Starting to slowly be able to see, she found herself being tossed onto a high tree branch. Seeing Selene below, Linda tried to call out to her, but the gag was tied so tight that even the muffled yells blended in with the surrounding sounds of the forest. She felt herself being thrown to the ground once again, and now she fully realized her predicament. The terror made her heart skip a few beats, and her eyes widened as she looked up into his face, the face that haunted her nightmares. A muffled scream escaped from her as she saw the murder in his eyes, heard what he said. Starting to struggle against her bonds, she tried to get away, but knew that now it was too late, no one would find her until she was a corpse. Tears started to slowly fall as she closed her eyes and braced herself for the final blow...

Selene

Selene looked around, a few moments from the time that Riku had left, and had a sinking feeling in her chest.

"Everyone, Linda is missing. We need to find her," she said. Staring with the woods behind her, Selene ran into them, trying to figure out where Linda had disappeared to. Frowning as she realized she was making too much noise, she slowed down, looking about her carefully. Linda had to be here somewhere! Going further into the forest, Selene encountered no one, and with a sigh, she turned back to the camp. She would look elsewhere now; Linda had not gone that way. Little did she know that Linda had been above her in the trees the whole time...

Miron extended his light senses... It was night, making it harder... but he could still sense that which was around him to some extent... "Nothing from my senses..."

Meiun was already just about finished subduing Mina's memories when Linda's disappearance was spoken of. Focusing, he felt her presence... Unconscious to the west. He whipped around in the direction of Linda... "I sensed her unconscious in that direction... but it seems she woke... And it wasn't a normal sleep."

Athrin blinks, looking up, and says "Oh... Um... Of course, come on in..."

Selene

Selene frowned as she listened to Meiun's words, and then looked back the way she had come from.

"Maybe whatever it was, she was hidden somewhere, because I didn't see her when I looked in that direction," she said, her tone worried.
