Genesis walked into the entrance, kicking up fallen leaves. Soon, she came near a tall, thick tree and stopped. Is this where I was? Yes. Just look. Genesis crouched down and picked up a small, red stone. "Found it." She muttered as she stuffed the gem in her pocket.

Genesis walked through the forest, she had nothing better to do. When she was sure that nobody was around, she sat down and examined the gem closely.

Isole was lost, she had been trying to get to the hot springs and ended up here.... wherever here was. It was getting dark, her throat closed up in fear, only babies are afraid of the dark she reminded herself. Nerveless She conjured up a small orb of light, it was weak. Isole continued on, she found a path. This will lead me back to the academy she thought. Her small light stated to flicker. Isole groaned she had never been good at light magic. She walked at a faster pace, but it wasn't long till her weak little light went out. Oh THE SHADOWS, THE DARK, they overwhelmed her. Brought back memories, painful memories. The tree's branches cast shadows on the forest floor. Isole watched in fear, as the shadows formed the monster, her nightmare. Her creation. It was not real she reminded herself, just a shadow a haunting memory of the incident. With all her strength Isole conjured another light orb, it was giant and shone brightly. This will light my path back she smiled.

Genesis dropped the rock and began to walk swiftly, then broke into a run, which broke into a sprint, and pretty soon she was going so fast that the wind sounded shrill in her ears.

Takane walked up to the border of the forest, he turned his head both left and right, looking to see if there was anyone else around. Takane had heard a couple rather interesting stories about this particular set of woods, most involving the amount of people who have entered into the forest, only to never be seen again. This peaked his interest, wondering what was causing so many people to go missing, "Well might as well check it out for myself." he muttered slightly, taking his first steps into the forest, quickly disappearing beyond the trees. The wind blew throughout the forest, an eerie sound coming from within, leaves scattered across the dirt and mud; making loud crunches as Takane stepped upon them.

Raine closed her book, one leg hanging over the side of the branch. She didn't exactly know how high she was, but everything was so small from her point of view. So she was bound to be pretty high. She heard the crunching of the leaves a while back, but their constant noise distracted her from her book, making her more curious. She noticed the boy, small from up here, but with her hearing abilities anything's possible.

Takane continued walking along in the forest, cutting small lines into the trees as he passed by; seeing as how he had heard stories of people getting lost, he was going to test something, checking if it was just the labyrinth like area that made people lose their track, or possibly something more, like a curse, enchantment, or in the worst case, a creature. As he made his way along, he looked around, not spotting any people in the vicinity, only hearing the creaking of trees, caused by the wind. "Anyone in here?" he shouted; Raine is high up top a tree, making it difficult for him to spot her, even if he knew she was there, which he doesn't.

Raine craned her neck and looked down, "Yeah?" She called in response. She watched him curiously, the lines in the trees hm? Very smart.

Takane heard a response to his call, knowing the general direction that it came from, however, in this forest, it made it rather hard to be sure if it from the direction he heard it from, or if the sound bounced and echoed throughout the trees. He looked up into the trees, first finding nothing, but as he continued looking he noticed a small figure up near the top of one. "Ah, there you are. Well it's nice to see someone else in here. You aren't lost are you?." he shouted, a slightly concerned look on his face; however raine was so high up, she wouldn't be able to see it. He stabbed his knife into the bark of the tree and started climbing; the knife which he used to mark his original route.

Raine shrugged, "Not really...Not sure really. I'll find my way back..." She smiled, though not really convinced. She noticed the boy climbing, "You sure you wanna come up here? It's pretty high."

Takane grew confused as the girl responded again, this time with an unsure answer, followed by a question which she seemed concerned. "Yeah I'll be fine climbing up there. However I'd like to ask a couple questions about this place, if you know anything about it that is." he shouted again, climbing from the base of the tree, upwards, climbing quickly and effectively; he shape-shifted just his hands to more like that of a monkey, giving him more grip against the bark. He quickly made it up to the top, resting on a branch near the one she was on, looking out towards the forest momentarily before turning towards her.

Raine shrugged and leaned against the base of tree, she noticed his hands, how they had shifted, and smirked. Another shifter huh? Well at least I'm not the only one. She thought, then directed her attention back at him, "Ask away."

Takane noticed as the girl looked at his hands, he shifted them back to normal, shaking them a little as he did. "Well first off, I assume it's best if I introduce myself. My name is Takane Kuro, it's a pleasure to meet you." he said, extending his hand out towards her; he cautiously extended his hand though, the height at which they were at, he would surely get injured if he fell while not paying attention. After the introduction he continued on with what he came there for, "Do you know if people get lost in the forest due to magic or not? I have a peculiar ability that could help prevent that, if that's what happening." he said; the ability he's talking about he has been consciously cancelling it, seeing as how he could tell the girl herself was a magic user.((Sorry for the late post, was a bit busy today.))

Raine shook his hand, making sure to keep one latched onto the branch she was on. "Raine. Just Raine." She said. When Takane, that's what he said his name was, asked about the forest she thought hard about it for a few moments, "Yeah. I've seen that happen once or twice. People take it as a joke." She responded, her mother came in here, so did her older brother, she hadn't seen them since.
(It's alright. That happens.)
