Vincent

Vincent's eyes caught the movement of Libby and Lilly moving. Then Seth was going the opposite direction. That kid is more trouble than I want to deal with. Vincent didn't move Aimee or himself just flipped their positions so she was leaning against him. A guy walked up and Vincent's eyes flashed dangerously at him, the guy scooted away.

"Seems even our fake relationship can't keep the guys away. Well guess that happens when your so stunningly beautiful. Ah the curse of beauty." Vincent chuckled lightly as he held her loosely.

"You don't have try and do something you don't to make me happy. I am happy most of the time. Every minute outside the watery prison is another minute of freedom. So want do you want to do, just sit and watch. I can to that." Vincent laughed lightly as he pulled her away from the wall and back to where they had been sitting.

Aimee Lynne Cox

"'For beauty is nothing/ but the beginning of terror we can just/ barely endure,/and we admire it so because it calmly disdains/ to destroy us.'"

Aimee smiled. She had to lean close to Vincent's ear in order to be heard; her breath was hot and sweet against his cheek. Aimee'd snuck a cinnamon stick while Vincent hadn't been looking. The curse of the writer is that they always have a quote on their tongues; as a favorite writer of hers once said, "All things worth saying has already been said before."

"Have you ever read The First Elegy? By Rainer Maria Rilke?"

She didn't wait, but moved back towards her normal distance away. That is, still alarmingly close. Aimee had to stop suddenly when a drunken couple stumbled into them, laughing loudly. The girl's drink splashed free of her mug and only just barely missed Aimee's feet. Aimee's lip curled in disgust and she moved deftly around them.

Libby

Libby's hand pressed into Lilly's midback slightly as she led the other girl towards the bar. Seth's departure was caught in her peripheral vision but she paid it no mind. The bar was packed but two seats opened up as soon as they were within a foot of it. The bracelet was calling her at this point but the demon gritted her teeth and maintained her position there, calling to the bartender about the drinks. A sharp pain struck her side. Libby winced but managed to show Lilly a brave smile.

"Uh, do you think that you can tell him what you want? I'll be right back. Put it on my tab." Of course, she did not have a tab but the burly man would know what she was talking about with no problem. The demon shrugged through the heavy and sweaty crowd to the doorway. Something was wrong with Seth. Despite the sight of him just sitting there on Raith, it was her gut feeling that this was the truth. There was a knife a few feet away from the cycle and the human seemed a bit a too flushed for a simple chill night. She approached him and stood at the head of the bike, staring him down. Vincent was right. They were supposed to take care of their charges in all areas but did that justify lying to them? Sure, there was something there between Seth and herself but most of her could not call it love.

"What are you doing out here by yourself?"

Lillian "Lilly" Uckelman

Lilly gave Libby a queer look when her new found friend flaked out on her so soon, but didn't say anything. She turned back to the bar tender, giving him her bright smile.

"Four more waters, and four screw drivers. Please. On Libby's tab, of course."

The man grunted and filled her order quickly; he'd barely passed it off to Lilly before he was being called to another end of the bar by a prettier girl. Lilly's eyes caught on her for a moment; from the right light, she could almost look like Aimee. Lilly shook her head free of her thoughts and collected the eight drinks, juggling them back to the table skillfully. She and Aimee were waitresses to help them get through college; Lilly'd learned the habit and such habits didn't leave easily. She set the drinks down and slid back into the booth, on the Aimee side of the two love birds.

"Hey guys; Libby got us screw drivers and and waters."

She grinned. The two drinks were like oil and water; they didn't match.

Vincent

Vincent looked back at the couple they had passed and the rest the beer blew up into the girl's face. Vincent chuckled lightly as she screamed at her date.

"You know that wasn't luck that kept your feet dry." Vincent sat next to Aimee once again and noticed Libby and Seth were gone, but Lilly was back and holding drinks.

"Well that was nice of her. So Aimee are we still on the no drinking binge or are you going to loosen up a little more?" Vincent chuckled as he began drinking the screwdriver.

Seth

Seth looked up at her and smiled, it wasn't a warm smile, it looked slightly deranged coming from him.

"Getting fresh air, beating up thugs that think they can steal the bike. You know the usual." Seth chuckled as he leaned back on the bike and pulled out a cigar he had pulled off one of the thugs. A quick cut and light and he was puffing on the vanilla cigar.

"How's it going inside? Lilly still going on about that environmental s**t. Or has she gotten off her high horse?" Seth didn't care he could careless. She had put him off and he wasn't really into staying here, so he would just finish smoking his stolen cigar till she was ready to leave.

Libby

Libby cringed at the smile and even more so at his tone. She watched him as he pulled on the cigar. As soon as he finished his last question, the demon flicked the thing out of his mouth and smushed it under her flip flops.

"It's going fine inside. Everybody is trying to have a good time but you have given up on that already, haven't you?" She walked over to him and held his chin firmly in her hand. "Is this how a man acts really when he has his heart stomped on? You're acting childish, Seth. So, what if I don't love you? This is now and who knows what I will be saying years from now but you have to realize that it is not the end of the world. You'll meet someone new and move on. Grow up." Her eyes flashed dangerously at his before her hand loosened and she moved away from him. There was still the issue of Aimee so as Libby waited for Seth's response, she began the process by sending waves of vanity towards the girl in question. It was obvious that Vincent had not gotten her to loosen up that much but hopefully, the spike in self-worth would be enough to make that job easier.

Seth

Seth pushed off the bike and crossed the gap between them in two seconds. He pulled her back around so he could see her eyes. Crimson, still.

"I did grow up. I was in a shell, staying out of the way, a loner, a nobody. You helped me grow up. How bout you grow up. You say you can't change, well looks like Vincent grew up." Seth stalked past her, the bouncer tried to stop him once more, this time Seth slammed his fist into the bouncer stomach, a quick elbow into the jaw left him dazed. Seth had trained in self defense to try and get his parent's attention. Never helped, but at least now it was all coming back when he needed.

"Open house folks. Drinks on this guy." Seth's boot found the dumb bouncers stomach and he coughed. Seth opened the doors and followed in the first group.

Libby

Libby looked at him blankly during the rebuttal as well as his little stunt with the bouncer and the incoming crowd. She had to grow up? He was the one throwing an adult tantrum, not her. The demon blended into the crowd and parted into the sea of dancers. It was true that Vincent did appear to have matured somewhat over the years but that desire to be free as he was was still there, wasn't it? It had to be. She went by the bar and had a seat there, looking out at the people again. She wanted to scream, really scream but that might lead to shattered skulls within a 50 mile radius, including Seth. However, her spirits had to be kept a satisfactorily high level or Aimee would suffer as well.

"Vodka," she said aloud. The nearest men offered their own glasses or to buy it for her but Libby did not any except for that from the bartender. "And keep it coming, please." He raised an eyebrow but nodded all the same, knowing that it was covered. The demon took the first sip with a hand at her forehead before downing the rest as if it were water. She was going to kill herself if things continued this way.

Seth

Seth didn't go back to the table they had been at, but instead had grabbed three girls and they were on the dance floor at that moment. Seth kept his thoughts erratic and off anything to due with Libby. Then another girl joined in there group. After ten minutes the new girl led Seth towards the back of the club, a nice dark area and with that they were making out. Slut. That was all Seth could think about, and with that thought he came back to Libby's choice to help him, which made him feel guilty, like he was betraying her trust. Then again she didn't love him. So what trust was there to betray. His train of thought vanished as the girl he was making out with decided it would be a good time to unzip his pants. Seconds later her mouth left his and he sighed.

Libby

Libby was crying now but the shots kept coming. Is this the reason for her return to the realm of the humans from her never changing prison. It was an all-time new low for her. Libby allowed her head to fall back, the background music came to the forefront of her mind and the emotional connection to Aimee was cut. The demon searched out the crowd for her charge but could not find him so she widened the area span. It took a while but eventually he came into her scope. Damn it, he was almost as bad as she was. Working automatically, Libby took her last drink and sifted through the crowd, not looking at anyone particular - a woman on a mission. It was not hard to find him, them, with the emotional trail as strong as the stench of bad beer. When her eyes found the girl on her knees, the demon disappeared for a second to reappear immediately next to her.

"Move." The word came out low, soft but deadly. Unfortunately, the girl did not take these hints and just smiled up at Libby, almost daring this new girl to do something about it if she did not comply. Still out of it and acting with unimaginable speed, Libby took the girl by her hair, carried her to her home a few blocks away and managed to return to Seth in a second if so much time. Her now completely black eyes looked up at him. What a soul-less demon she was.

"I don't love - " The words could not make it out in time as she continued crying on him, wrapping her arms around his neck. "I can't but...I want to."

Seth

Seth hadn't realized what had happened, he had been lost in thought and feeling. Then he felt arms around him, the softness of a different, yet fully familiar feminine figure. He relaxed as her words reached his ears and he chuckled lightly. So there it was.

"You were right, I needed to grow up. I think I have." Seth kissed her forehead gently.

"Uh could you let go for a second. My manhood is still in the air." Seth really was trying to keep a straight face, but it was hard. She was doing something that went against her entire being and he knew it was hard. Seth managed to zip himself up and the reversed their positions so he was kissing her as he pushed her against the wall. After a couple seconds he broke the kiss a smile on his face.

"So Libby, now that you are trying to love, what are you going to do?" Seth chuckled as his hand stroked her cheek lightly.

Libby

A blush crept over her face at his first question and would have tried to help but he took care of it soon enough. Libby chuckled lightly to find herself pressed against the wall and wanting to return Seth's kiss just as eagerly. Fortunately, the shade of her eyes had lightened so when he pulled away a few seconds later, she did not have to worry about scaring him anymore if he had been put off by it in the first place. A slight moan escaped her as his hand passed along her cheek and she returned his smile.

"Well," she began, pushing him away with little force, "I'm going to tap you over your head because I told you you had to grow up, yer silly human." The demon did as she said while keeping the flush in her cheeks. She still wanted to go smash in people's heads ans suck them dry of all emotions but if she was trying to change, what would she do? "Then, I would try to bury all dreams of killing you quite painfully somewhere in the back of my mind since I won't be able to use them now. What a waste. Would you like to go back inside?"
PostPosted: Fri Jun 25, 2010 8:57 pm

Seth

Seth chuckled lightly at her comment. His hand stroked her cheek again. He could think of a dozen other things he wanted to do other than go inside.

"Sure let's go inside, but I want get back to the dorm earlier. All this emotional swinging around has made me tired. Wish I had the stamina you had." Seth laughed softly in her ear and then pulled with him back into the crowd and towards the table they had been sharing with her fellow supernatural being.

Aimee Lynne Cox

'Yeah, thank you for that.' Aimee rolled Everyone asks for a special reason you don't drink. You choose not to drink, there must be a reason why. Religious, even. Choose not to wear a sweater and no one gives a damn.

"You mean, did I change my mind between the last fifteen minutes? No. I don't feel the need to alter myself in order to have fun."

Truth is, Aimee picked up her habit of being dry when she took up surfing lessons when she was younger; on the ocean if you drank you tended to drown. To be honest, that didn't stop her from almost drowning, but if she'd been buzzed, Aimee was certain she would've drowned. Aimee bit her lip, not liking to think back on it. Lilly reached over Aimee to grab at Vincent's hands.

"Come on, snuggle pup; you wanted to dance, right? Come dance with me."

She gave him one of her more endearing smiles.
