Brengen

I'm a ******** bear stays here; if he went with you then I wouldn't have taught you how to summon him now would I have?" He asked crossing his arms looking down as Kazin; "Well I have a feeling Chiyu might get mad at me for keeping you this long; This was support to be a quick training session, but thats not how it really ended up..." The man said shrugging slightly.
...Mountain man!

User Image "Alright sensei. Thank you for all this training. I'll return to you once I feel that our bond had strengthened. Hopefully next time you see me, I"ll be a better ninja." Kazin said giving a deep bow. "Well, I guess I'll be off. Thanks again!"

Kazin made a quick check to make sure he had all of his belongings gathered and positioned himself to leave. He gave a quick wave to Brengen and jumped into the trees.

User Image Kazin Continued on through the forest as fast as he could. He was really excited that he had learned his new jutsu, but he was still very eager to get back to training with his sensei and his teammates. As he traveled, he wondered what surprises lay in wait for him at the village. He was sure that his teammates were also training, but he was unsure of what type of training they went through in his absence. He once again looked down at the markings, thinking up new potentials of his new-found power.
It took Kazin a couple of days to reach the village, yet it was still a few hours shorter compared to the first trip from the familiarity of the woods on the way back.

~*Yuzuki*~

Yuzuki face burst into a violent shade of red as David said his blunt piece. What the hell was going on?? Did everyone but her have some sort of mind reading powers or something. She calmed her fluster as best she could, her cheek puffed out for a few moments before David asked her what her speciality was.
"My focus is indeed Genjutsu... I try to balance my style with Taijutsu and get some ninjutsu to create some variety... by the way, was that looser still looking for his face when you guys left?"
Yuzuki's face bloomed into something rather devious as she thought about the drunk she dealt with. Too bad the other one didn't fall to her jutsu as easily, it would have given Kazin a hand. She was also rather pleased that the third one didn't do anything foolish while the rest of its friends were being occupied. She looked over at David for a moment, she was trying to guess his type as well, there was clearly some genjutsu going on at the concert, she didn't notice what Kazin did with his Byakugan but the effects of the show weren't all that easy to accomplish without many hands working in concert with each other, it would have been easier and more cost effecient to have the crowd placed under a genjutsu... perhaps a musical based genjutsu, that way someone could put a number of people under at once while not exploting that much Chakra. She imagined that was the calming effects of the music too.
"I take it that your the Genjutsuist, David-san, and if I was to venture a guess, you would use a musical based genjutsu that would effect a lot of people at once. Like when the music changed and people became more relaxed suddenly. I know music and its effects, it would take a lot more than one song to get me off a high like that crowd was. Am I correct in my assumptions?"

The Band

I'm too lazy to think of...

The singer shrugged slightly. "I don't really know, by then the Genjutsu you had cast had most likely canceled, so he was most likely just angry that he had been tricked" He said with a light laugh as he looked down at Yuzuki.

As Yuzuki spoke again David nodded slightly in reply to what it was that the young Girl had said to him; she had hit the nail on the head, after all; if anyone would be able to find a Genjutsu and then it was cast; if there wasn't a sensor type close by' the best option would easily be another Genjutsu type. "You got it Dead on" He said in reply to her making the comment that she guessed he was the Genjutsu user. "And it's not the length of the Genjutsu; it the strength of it" He said nodding slightly. "You say it would take more then one song, but if I used a stronger Jutsu; I could have put the crowed to sleep if i wanted"

Yuzuki listened with some high level of interest, she didn't know that you could inflict the same genjutsu on multiple people at once with it if it was powerful enough... and to think that he could put all those people at the concert under at once, that was an impressive feat unto itself. So, Yuzuki was once again short changing herself when it boiled down to it, she would have to experiment to see how many she could put under with her Night Terror Jutsu at its level. It would save the chakra rather than re-summoning it over and over again for different people. She should have the chakra control for such a feat now, it was just a matter of learning how to do it.
"Hmm... that is interesting to know, I just assumed and used my genjutsu on the principle that one execution would only put one under so I've kept re-using the technique instead of just extending it to another. I'll have to work on that when I get some more people to practice with and on."
Yuzuki gave a bit of a defeated sigh, the more that she thought she was getting all this, the more she realized that she realized that she still had so much to learn.
"I take it by the amount of people that you put under at once that your the Jounin of the group. To do such a thing, you'd need a really strong genjutsu and I doubt highly that any basic chuunin would be able to do that. May I ask you why you stopped being a ninja? Or maybe why you became one in the first place if your essence just wasn't into it?"

The Band

I'm too lazy to think of...

"Yep I was the Jounin of the group" David said as the Band as well as the Genin who where with them continued to walk away from the village hidden in the clouds. "Also, about the Genjutsu; I'm sure you know that each Genjutsu targets a specific sense, Hearing, Sight, Smell, Touch, or Taste. Although the only one's that people normally use are Sight, Smell and Sound, seeing as how Feeling, and taste are almost impossible to keep a Jutsu up with" He said as he spoke with the Genin.

"The thing about Genjutsu is, seeing as how it effects the senses; anyone who's senses are effected, will be target; seeing as how they are the most; common I am going to guess your Jutsu target the opponents Sight?"
He asked the Genin. "Mine are sound; and with is going through my vocal's when i sing into a microphone, everyone hears is; meaning everyone gets put under the Genjutsu at the same time"

"And why Did i quit?"
He asked as though he had not been expecting the question. "I guess it was because this is more fun" He said simply' "Tell me, what is the one thing you want to be when you get older?" The question sounded Random; but seeing as how he asked it right after he answered one of Yuzuki's questions it must have had a reason.

"I will be free when I get older." Yuzuki replied with no hesitation. Perhaps not quiet what David was going for but she explained a little more. "My family as been ninja sense long before the Uzumaki allience, that purpose runs in my blood thicker than any other desire to be anything else. I was born and bred to be a ninja, so I see no point in correcting what I am comfortabe being. The only real thing that I hope to change is my power. When I become the most powerful Shinobi in the world, then I will be free from others ruling over me."
Yuzuki fell silent for a few moments before looking up at David. She looked him hard in the eye, assuming that he turned to a life of music for the same reasons, it was just meant to be. She wouldn't judge him for his actions, nor condemn him for it. It was his choice and his calling to be a lead singer in a band (and look damn hot doing it too!!) Still, there was usually something else that modivated someone to change from ninja to hot lead guitarist... but maybe his reasons were just that simple. He perferred doing something he loved over doing something that only gave him a quick high or a small thrill.
His explinaitons of the sound genjutsu was something that she never thought of before in that sort of way. It made sense now that she thought about it and put it in a different perspective. Her genjutsu's simply too more work because they effected the sight, hearing, touch, taste and feel for her target, and she had to infiltrate the brain through the chakra of the other person with percision or it wouldn't work. The soundwaves did most of the work for David, thought his reaction were based on emotional wave lengths only, with perhaps some other minor reactions as well. It was intersting how differenty styles of genjutus effected the body differently, she hoped that she would have the opertunity to learn all the different styles and adapt them for her own.

The Band

I'm too lazy to think of...

As Yuzuki spoke David polity listened to what it was that the young Genin was saying to him. But once he was done a smile broke out on his face, and the Ex-Jounin Shook his head lightly from side to side. "Good answer, but no where near the right one" He said bluntly still shaking his head slightly to the side. "What i was Looking for was the same thing my Jounin told me back when I was still a Genin" He said looking down at Yuzuki. "When I was a Genin I told him I wanted to be Strong; but just as I am telling you; its a good answer; but wrong non the less..... the correct answer is happy"

The Jounin was quite for a moment letting what he said sink into the young Genin's head. "I quit being a Ninja' and joined a Band because it made me Happy, When you are happy; as Corny as it sounds it makes those around you happy; as well as helps you concentrate" He said still walking along with Yuzuki. "When you are training; don't things get harder the worse your mood is? It works the opposite when your in a good mood' at least it does with me; the happier I am; the stronger my Jutsu seem to be; the easier it is for my to focus; and the less chakra I need to use to actually USE the Jutsu" It was weird hearing this almost Dalai Lama like speech coming from the Singer of a Metal Band; but non the less it was. "Everything you do should make you happy"

~*Yuzuki*~

Yuzuki fell silent, not sure how to react to what David told her, part of her agreed that it was important to be happy like he said... but there was a stronger part of her who felt inclined to disagree. Shinboi were weapons, and weapons didn't have feelings such as joy or sorrow. Such things as those ensured death when the time came to missions. She failed to understand how making those around you happy was something that paid off... she bent over backwards for people in the past, and they only took advantage of her and greeded for more. Perhaps she didn't know what happiness was. To her it was just as alien and unneccessary as love itself. She was hoping that when she obtained her power that made her truely free that she would have a sense of tranquility, nothing more and nothing less.
"I don't know if I truely agree with that... what happens when that happiness turns and produces something that causes agony and turmoil? That same line of thought keeps me from getting close to others. I refuse to get bonds with people. People betray, and when your a shinobi those ties are always severed with death; whether it be from the blade or from time itself. Perhaps I am a sociopath in a way, but I think I would perfer a lifetime of loneliness than a temporary state of happiness that would soon be replaced by heartache and misery when that person leaves or dies. I am the appointed leader of my squad when our Jounin is not around, thus because I am in charge I can't let my emotions run away with me, or be displayed for my opponents to take advantage of. Maybe I've just twisted logic somewhere down the road aways, or maybe this is just me protecting myself from the obvious heartaches of the Shinobi path that I've chosen. Whatever it is... I just can't bring myself to drag emotions into this and risk those in my care because of a thoughtless action or deed. I realize as a genin I lack wisdom and foresight that someone of a Jounin and even a chuunin has. But... this is my way of doing things. So far I haven't been proved wrong anyway."
Yuzuki was unsure if David would roll his eyes and do as Chiyu did and told her what an idiot she was with those thoughts, or if he would have some level of understand as he was a jounin and a leader to others. But Yuzuki kind of didn't care. She perferred to feel her own way in the world and get a better understanding for it with her own experiences and thoughts. Let them evolve on their own, or strenghten as consequences unraviled from her choices.

User Image Kazin listened to Yuzuki and the guitarist's conversation. He found it pretty interesting to find out what the members could do. After all, he himself witnessed the effect of the music on the crowd. After hearing Yuzuki spill about being close to other people, Kazin felt slightly offended. His smile faded and his look became very stern.

"Listen Yuzuki, I understand being a little standoffish, but completely severing all ties to people will only make you a worse ninja. A lot of out strengths come from knowing and trusting each other as a squad." Kazin said feeling abnormally hot-headed. "One of the best parts of being a human being is being able to trust someone else, and have someone else help you shoulder your burdens. Who cares if somebody is going to die, it's eventually going to happen to everyone anyways. Why don't you stop trying to worry about the dangers of the future and focus on the dangers and achievements now? Sharing bonds make us stronger, whether you want to believe it or not. I truly applaud you for wanting to be a more powerful ninja, but your not going to achieve greatness with that attitude."

Kazin looked away from Yuzuki still bearing his stern look. She had touched one of Kazin's soft spots and had stomped on one of his major ideals. He felt bad for being unrelenting, but he felt very strongly against what she had said.

"...perhaps, but protecting someone and focusing on something that you want more than anything else in the world... where is the difference? I respect your logic, but find it nothing more than regurgitation from other people that you've processed. A shinobi is a weapon, we are and forever will be meant for conflict and fighting. If you disagree with that, then concider your skills that you've learned at the academy. What did they teach you, what did you learn? You learned how to weild weapons, perform tricks and how to effectively use those tricks in battle. The point of a weapon is to not feel anything, your not meant to understand pleasures or feelings, they get in the way of your mindset in fighting and make you vulnerable to attacks and counters with other shinobi. The point is survival, and even though I cannot deny that the use for these skills and tactics can be used to protect those you 'love' and friends... but there will always be someone who has more experince than you, and they will constantly be searching for a way to sever those bonds. What happens then, when an enemy exploits your friends to use against you? You defend them with your life? And what happens when your over emotional state of mind leaves you open for the enemies manipulations? You die, or the enemy takes their lives. You would have accomplished nothing in your irrational behaviour and your bonds would still be severed." Yuzuki turned her head slightly towards Kazin as they continued walking. She really didn't care if the others thought her weak or cold hearted... she was, and until she mastered enough jutsu then she would continue to be weak. False notions of becoming more powerful when protecting someone was ludicris. ONe may experince adrenialine and with that a bit of a power boost, but that was all, mentally whipping yourself into a frenzy would do the same thing. There was no magic button that made you stronger, and certianly friendship wasn't going to create one.

She didn't know what to say, really, other than that. Maybe Kazin was right in that regard, but she still had that whisper of doubt in her ear. She looked forwards again. Friendship just didn't come all that naturally to her. She was someone who just watched as most of her peers rifled by her with little to no efforts while she struggled and got held back. She never really had friends, so she conferm or deny the fact that Kazin was right or wrong, but he was wrong about one thing.
"Your wrong about needing friends to be strong, you truely can become powerful without them if your will to succeed and ambitions are strong enough. The Legendary Saunin of the Snake was a prime example of this. He achieved greatness without needing others... so why not me? I don't want to burden anyone with my problems or anything else, if I rely on others to help me than I'm only half as strong as what I appear to be. I don't mind working as a team -I see great wisdom in that- I am willing to trust others as comrades to watch my back and in return I watch theres. But I still don't see where there needs to be friendship involved with my strength. If I rely on others to make up my weaknesses, then nobody will be any stronger. They will still need each other to funciton, if one learns how to counter their weaknesses on their own, then they will become powerful."
Yuzuki wasn't put off with Kazin's speach, she had heard it all before actually. From many people and many instructors who didn't give her a reason to think otherwise. She closed her eyes for a moment. No... she would make it on her own just fine. Her burdens were her own and the weight of them made her stronger.

The Band

I'm too lazy to think of...

"You also need to remember though; Sannin you are speaking of was also a missing ninja who betrayed his village; tried to kill his team mates, as well as being betrayed by his own student; I don't really think that, he is the best example of power" The Singer said shrugging; he wasn't going to try go change the girls mind; what point did that have' her believing that being happy was important; wasn't really worth while if he didn't truly believe it; he turned out to be like most ninja' power power power; and that search for power almost always ended with that persons self destruction. The Singer simply let out a slightly drawn out yawn as the rest of the band and himself (Along with the Genin continued on there way). It was starting to grow dark however and they would more likely then not have to set up camp.

User ImageKiko had gone on out into the forest, a good deal from Konoha, and waited on Ichi. "Perhaps we'd better make camp...and train for a bit? It wouldn't hurt...and plus, you still aren't completely mastered with your arm yet...maybe I should check and see how the metal in it is holding up?" She pulled out another storage scroll, waving it around. "I've got everything we need, including a decently-sized tent..."

It's Just beneath the skin...

Ichi who was following behind Kiko looked over at her; he wasn't really used to setting up camp; or at least; he wasn't used to having too, after all He normally didn't sleep so he never needed to have a Tent; and even if he did need one for some reason he normally just made something out of Sand; or now metal. "O-okay... I-if you want" Ichi said as he looked over at Kiko; If Kiko wanted too Ichi had nothing against stopping and setting up a camp sight. "A-also I have m-mastered my a-arm" Ichi said in reply to what Kiko had said; he just didn't use it very often; so he wasn't sure of his control on it. "W-what..... a-are you going t-to train?" Ichi asked looking at Kiko; he actually had no idea other then being a medic and being able to smell people out; what it was that Kiko was actually able to do, so Ichi had no idea what it was that Kiko was going to train or practice with San in.
