ZoriZori flicked her ears back, disheartened. She couldn't think of anything that she could say that wouldn't make him feel worse. A lous, slightly high-pitched voice behind her made her jump. She turned her head sharply, and found herself to be looking at some sort of Smeargle... Skitty... cross thing. She flicked an ear. "I'm a fox, not a dog." She correctly quietly.

~Roland~ Roland turned towards the new voice, a feline. He laughed inside at the notion of such base rivalry. He believed himself beyond that by now, but he still felt a slight urge to chase the things tail...
" 'Dogs'...? Well, I have a name. It's Roland, and I'd rather yo ucall me that then 'Dog'." He said, jokingly.

 Legacy
"Hey-Howdy-Hey!" A cheerful voice called out and perched on the wall surrounding the courtyard, a glowing blue Espeon gave a tittering laugh before teleporting onto the grass. "Zori~ Hiya! Forgot to tell you how to-" He paused, head cocking to the side at her pained expression and raised a paw to smack himself on the forehead. "Oh, geez! I'm sorry! I should have told you how to turn it off! Here~" He bounded over, skidding to a stop in front of her to place a paw on the necklace and hook a small claw in the indention near the top of the jewel, shutting the psychic aura that pulsated out of it off. The Espeon giggled. "My bad~" Swishing his twin tails, the Espeon glanced at the oddly colored Growlithe first and then dircted his gaze to the Skitty...Smeargle...Smitty...Skeargle...thingy.

JamesJames shivered a little. "Foxes are still dogs!" He shouted. "Dogs are bad! They catch cats like me and then they eat theeeeeem!" The little Skitty was young, so nobody could blame him for being so ignorant. "My dad is the only nice dog!" He then shouted.

ZoriZori sighed with relief, feeling the tension in her body fade away. "Oh dear, sweet Arceus. THANK YOU, LEGACY." She collapsed sideways against Legacy's shoulder, very happy to have the non-stop headache go away. Even the dull throbbing was gone! So grateful. So very grateful. She didn't hear the child's reply.

~Roland~ "Well, if you say so kid..." He would have kept talking ,but he was sudden;y distracted by the Zori collapsing. "Zori! Are you ok?" He turned toward the blue...glowy...Eapeon lookin thing. "What just happened?"

 Legacy
"You're very welcome! I was just in the neighborhood about to visit a friend when I felt the need to come see you!" The Espeon's red gaze turned to Roland and he smiled once again. "HI! I'm Legacy! You're a very funny colored Growlithe arent you? I like the ear tear. It makes you look tough!"

ZoriZori snuggled gratefully into Legacy's side, using him as a sort of pillow. She flicked an ear as the Growlithe freaked out. "I'm okay, Roland." The Eevee smiled serenely, not bothering to open her eyes. She could hear Legacy's heartbeat. A calm, steady rhythm.

~Roland~ Roland relaxed, guessing she must be ok if she said as much. She didn't come off as the lying type to him.
His good ear twitched a little at the thought of the other, ragged, torn one. "Yeah, I guess the ear does give off the tough look." He said to Legacy, "But it wasn't quite how I wanted to get that kind of rep. I think NOT losing the ear would have been much tougher..."

 Legacy
"It shows you've gone into battle. It shows you risked your life for a cause. It's more than tough, it's brave! And is that not what an explorer is?" Settling down to lay on his stomach, the Espeon began to emit a bright glow and in a flash had transformed into a blue Growlithe, around the same height as Roland. "Ah, I was suppose to be doing something...hrm, cant recall what it was..." The forgetful little creature mused in concern.

~Roland~ "Y-Yeah, I guess you're right." Roland thought about that for a moment. He decided that Legacy probably knew what he was talking about, and he thought that there was some sense in the point he had made. "Thanks..."
He then watched as Legacy turned int oa Growlithe. "Whoa, what the-?"

ZoriZori nuzzled Legacy's side, curling up against his thick, warm fur. It was like Roland's. Only better, because it was Legacy... ...Did she seriously just think that? Zori's eyes opened wide, a dark blush fanning across her face. Well, that explained a lot. It also made things a lot more complicated. She flicked her ears back, and snuggled back in against Legacy's fur. "I dunno; what DID you forget?" She purred.

 Legacy
"Huh, I guess it wasnt impo-CRAP." Oh there we go, he remembered what he was suppose to be doing. "I got to go visit a friend of mine in the hospital. Wanna come?" He let his long tongue hang out and panted like a dog as he asked, just because he thought it was funny.

Zori"Of course!" Zori replied brightly, rising to her paws, her tail wagging happily. She flicked her ears, and twirled around on her hindpaws as a quick farewell to Roland. Then, she dashed off toward the Hospital with Legacy.

~Roland~ "Bye, Zori. It was a real pleasure meeting you. And Legacy, uhm, well, it was nice meeting you too." Roland said, trying to not still sound confused as to what exactly Legacy was.
He watched them walk away, then lay down on his stomach and closed his eyes. It really was pleasant, laying down in the courtyard, by himself...Perfect for a little afternoon nap. He slowly drifted off to some much needed sleep.
