High in the mountains stands a secret place, a hidden little bubble occupied only by two dragons. No others could penetrate this little bubble, because it was specially created by one of those dragons, Munwill, whose talent allowed him to bend reality to his will. With his best friend, Somocking, he often found entertainment in toying with the lives of other ponies.

However, occasionally, the dragons played with someone who already had the eye of someone more powerful...

Munwill lounged before the many screens, a bag of fresh made popcorn resting in front of him as he waited for something, anything, interesting to turn up. "What shall we do today, Somocking?"

Somocking grinned impishly at him. "well, I did find an unusual pair near Dream Valley earlier. We could check and see if they are doing anything interesting. Or at least toss them somewhere where they will," She said with a mischievous grin.

Munwill tossed her the remote he had created so that she could "channel surf" through the lives of the ponies that inhabited the various valleys . "Call 'em up and let's see."

Somocking happily surfed through the channels, until she settled on a pair of Na'vi twins. "There, these two. A whole lot of blue ponies suddenly started showing up." She blinked, glanced at herself then grinned. "Well, new ones. Anyway, they all seem to be more or less sticking together, but these two have been exploring some. They seemed amusing. What do you say?" she asked.

Munwill pulled out his trusty reference book, which contained tidbits on all the ponies they discovered. "I've noticed the invasion of newbies," he nodded slightly. "Should be interesting. Oh... they've come across the remains of the bush fire. Remember that, Somocking? I think it was just a couple days ago..."

Somocking grinned and chuckled. "Yeah, made for some good marshmallows."

"Did, didn't it?" Munwill chuckled. "Bet they don't know about the fire... Oh! How about we toss them at this crew," he asked, offering the book to her, opened to the pages of a particularly interesting, and purple, pony.

She laughed gleefully. "Well that would certainly explain darkness in the land. Too bad those two won't have a clue how to handle her! Let's do it!"

With a dark grin, Munwill cloned the scene playing out before him and shifted to the side, just a bit, seamlessly dropping both casts together. That done, he sat back and grabbed a hoof-full of popcorn, ready to watch the show...

Please enjoy this unconventional tale X-D

Bardess Ookami
Ta te Em felt something shift. Something felt different, all of a sudden. The voices that filled his head every moment of his life were dimmer some how. Still there, but softer, as though at a great remove. He glanced up from the dark patch of ground that they had been studying. "Tsmuke," he said softly, wondering if his sister too had noticed the change.

Subtitles: "Sister,"

Divena
Ting Te Nari lifted her head, taking in the scene around them cautiously. Like her brother, the voices she had grown up hearing had muted. She could almost swear that her very wings felt somehow... heavier, though that made little sense. "Oe na nìltsan, Tsmukan"

Subtitles: "I feel it, too, Brother."

Bardess Ookami
Ta looked around them, trying to see anything different that explained the mute feeling. His eyes rested on the only thing that seemed out of place in this odd wood.

A small purple butterfly lit on a leaf.

Ta glanced at it, surprised, and studied it for a moment before tapping his sister's foreleg, to draw her attention to it.

Divena
She followed his gaze and frowned at the creature, tensing. There was something... wrong about it. She took a cautious step back. "Peu kind swiräi tsa'u?" she asked in hopes that her brother might be familiar with the creature.

Subtitles: "What kind of creature is that?"

Bardess Ookami
"Oe si ke fpìl 'u Riti. Oe si ke tse'a. Oe si ke pxel fì'u," he said to his sister, eying it. It shone similarly to the way that Eltungawang did, and yet it felt almost... dark, void some how.

Subtitles: "I do not think the thing is a sting bat. I do not see it. I do not like this," he said to his sister. It shone similarly to the way that glow worms did, and yet it felt almost... dark, void some how.

Divena
She nodded a slight agreement. "Tsa'u kllfrivo' kerusey atxkxe?" she asked as she took a cautious step back, keeping an eye on the creature.

Subtitles: "Could it have killed the land?"

Bardess Ookami
While he could not imagine how, there seemed no other explanation. He opened his mouth to say as much, when...

The butterfly moved. It flitted up and then slowly made it's way towards them. As it did, a mouth grew, reaching for them, hungry for their Leafe.

Divena
Ting's eyes widened as she took a step back, tensing. "Tsmukan!"

Subtitles: "Brother!"

Just then, a flash of fire sliced through the air and cut the butterfly in half. Go worked his way through the dead trees, cautiously skirting around the dead butterfly. "Are you two alright?"

Bardess Ookami
Ta te Em stood between his sister and the newcomer. Where had that txep come from? From him? From somewhere else? Was this the cause of the darkness, or was the creature? Had this new person saved them, or did he mean them harm? This person was not connected to Ewya. Who was he? What was he? Well, perhaps that last was simple. "Twatute srake?" Ta asked of his sister.

This person was not connected to Ewya. Who was he? What was he? Well, perhaps that last was simple. "Sky Person" Ta asked of his sister.

Divena
"Po speaks taw tute lì'fya," she confirmed, eying the new comer. She hesitated a moment before trying her hand at speaking his tongue. "What...is that?" she asked, pointing at the creature that was just slain.

Subtitles: "He speaks the sky people's language."

"Um... that... was... a butterfly," Go fumbled, trying to keep from telling the strangers what it really was. They looked strange, and he was fairly certain they didn't work for Fenril, but there was something... off about them.

Bardess Ookami
He tried to recall if any of the Tawtute had called anything on Pandora a butterfly, so he had a basis for comparison, but nothing came to mind. "Did you kill it?" he asked in the stranger's own language.

Subtitles: He tried to recall if any of the Sky People had called anything on Pandora a butterfly, so he had a basis for comparison, but nothing came to mind. "Did you kill it?" he asked in the stranger's own language.

Divena
"I hope so," Go muttered, glancing nervously at the butterfly. "Have you seen any others like it?"

Bardess Ookami
"Why did you kill it? What harm had it done?" Ta asked. He needed to know if this Sky Person was like the others, if the creature needed to be returned to Ewya.

Divena
"Uh..." Go floundered. Fortionately, he was saved just then by the arrival of his Pretear.

Himeno raced into the clearing and skidded to a halt, her eyes sparking angrily and her cheeks flushed. "Is she... um...." she trailed off as she caught sight of the Na'vi.

Ting studied the newcomer with trepidation. More Tawtute?

Bardess Ookami
"There is a present for you all. In Himeno's home," Fenril said, appearing with a demon Larvae. "I do think you should rush off and take care of it, don't you? Unless the princess is choosing some strangers over her family?"

Ta tensed. His every instinct told him that this woman was connected to the dead land. And also to the dead creature. He was sure he knew now his enemy. But he never did anything alone. "Tsmuke?"

Subtitles: "Sister?"

Divena
Ting gave a nod, letting her brother know that she was with him.

Himeno's eyes widened in horror. "Leave them alone! They aren't a part of this!"

"She's lying," Hayate said, coming up behind his Pretear, with Kei close on his hooves. "She wants us to leave here."

"But just in case, I'll go," Kei offered.

Bardess Ookami
Where did so many Sky People come from? Ta was not pleased with this. He drew the carved bone from his hip. He handed it to Ting. "Takuk ngay txo nga zene takuk." He knew himself well enough, he saw his sister. Of the pair, she could better defend them should they need to fight.

Subtitles: "Strike true, if you must strike. "

"Why should I lie?" Fenril asked with a grin. "After all, it is so much easier to tell the truth, after all, I get leafe from one place either way. There is only one Pretear. Or... is there none? Do they treat you like a Pretear, Himeno? Do they tell you the truth? Tell you everything?" She asked, a darkness growing before her. She moved so that it was clear that she was going to aim at the two blue ponies. Of course, her goal was Himeno, or Hayate. Those two new ponies... she could taste their leafe from here. So strong, so pure. Perhaps more delicious then Leafania.

Divena
Ting took the knife and shifted to stand slightly in front of her brother. Moments like this, her youthful rebellions came in handy. While she was not as skilled as a warrior, she was more adept than most.

Kei slipped off quickly, to protect Himeno's family.

"That's enough!" Go ordered, moving to attack her. "Himeno, don't listen to her!"

"Himeno," Hayate held out his hoof to her.

Himeno took it and started to glow as she began to transform.

Ting stared at her. "Peu..."

Subtitles: "What..."

"This should be interesting," Munwill drawled. "How will two blue kitties stand up against the princess of disaster?" he tossed a piece of popcorn into his mouth.

Somocking grabbed some popcorn from his bowl happily. "I think they're going to die. Are we taking bets on how long it will take?" she asked.

"I give them....ten minutes," Munwill decided.

"I give them twenty if you leave the knights. Five if you remove them," Somocking said.

"That begs the question, should I nix the knights, or leave them?"

Ewya brought herself into physical form behind the two dragons. "You will send the twins home," she said in a mother like voice, one that in most cases tolerated no arguments.

"Sweet red on strawberries!" Munwill yelped, spilling the popcorn. He stared at her. "How did you get in here? Never mind that, who are you?"

"I am Ewya, and those two do not belong to you. Get them out of there at once, young man."

Somocking snickered at her friend being reamed out.

Munwill stared at her for a moment then smirked. He didn't take well to being told what to do. "Alright, I'll get them out of there," he drawled, waving a hoof.... and dropping them among the elves.

Bardess Ookami
The woods were verdant, thick and green. One of the deeper, healthier parts of Dream Valley, with no hint of the darkness that the twins had spied. These were the woods that Redlance cared for, and he took their health seriously. This area was a little outside the Holt, but still considered safe enough for two ponies to chat. The darkness that was absent, however, seemed to be the topic of conversation for the girls in the grass.

"You were going to tell me about the darkness," Venka said.

Tyleet nodded, then sniffed the air. "We are not alone."

"The black snake?" Venka asked, the baby instantly alert before she shook her head. "No I do not sense her poking around."

"Not a smell I recognize," Tyleet said, eyes scanning the tree until they landed upon the branch where the Navi had been dropped.

Divena
Ting stared around her, not recognizing these strange plants, or even understanding how they had come to be there. Hadn't they just been in the middle of a battle? Had Eywa interfered? It was possible... but Eywa worked in subtler ways, usually. She didn't take sides. What had happened? Her eyes landed on the girls in the meadow. "Tsmukan."

Subtitles: "Brother."

Bardess Ookami
Ta nodded. He saw them, but he couldn't see them. He knew nothing of them. They seemed alert, but not hostile. Small, smaller even then Tawtute. And they were talking about the darkness, could they perhaps have the answer? He flicked his wings towards his sister. All the bad feelings he had about the purple person, these two felt almost the opposite. there was almost a sameness to them. But they spoke the tongue of the Tawtute.

"That sounded like speaking to me," Tyleet said. "Who are you?" she asked then towards the pair.

"Careful, cub," the younger one said to the elder. "They could be humans," Venka said.

Tyleet laughed. "Some how I'm older now, and if they were human, that would be quite an adventure, besides, how would we know if they once had five fingers? Our own four each became one."

Divena
Ting shot her brother a questioning look before deciding that she was the spokesperson this time around. She jumped neatly from the tree and landed easily at the base of the tree. She felt no animosity from these two, but at the same time she could not sense them. She would be cautious while approaching them, keeping her brother's knife carefully hidden along her arm. "You speak of a darkness," she said, cutting straight to the heart.

Bardess Ookami
Ta followed his sister, staying by her side, silent with support.

"I did. Shade and sweet water to you," Tyleet said. "Who are you."

"Forget who, what are you?" Venka challenged. "Are you human?"

"Human tawtute srake?" Ta asked his sister. These new ones had mentioned five fingers, the Twatute had five fingers, he remembered, vaguely that once he had four. He looked down at his hooves, confused. At the same time, he could not remember ever being other then how he was now.

Translation: Humans are sky people?

Divena
"Kxawm," she answered her brother before addressing the strangers. "I am Ting Te Nari and this is Ta Te Em, my tsmukan. We are Na'vi... what and who are you?" If they could be blunt, so could she.

Subtitles: "Perhaps," she answered her brother before addressing the strangers. "I am Ting Te Nari and this is Ta Te Em, my brother. We are Na'vi... what and who are you?" If they could be blunt, so could she.

Bardess Ookami
"Na'vi..." Tyleet repeated, tasting the word. "I am a Wolfrider. Venka here is like a sister, and she is both Wolfrider, Go-back and Sun Folk, depending upon who you ask. My name is Tyleet. What is Na'vi?" She asked.

Divena
Ting shot a confused look toward her brother. What in the name of Eywa was a wolfrider? "We are Na'vi. What is a Wolfrider?"

~~~~
"Oh, this is going to get old fast," Munwill rolled his eyes.
Bardess Ookami
"Elves who ride and are bonded to wolves. We share thoughts, share hunts, they are our partners, brothers, friends," Tyleet explained.
"Tsaheylu? Pxel hu Ikran srake?" Ta asked his sister.
Subtitles: The bond? Like with the Ikran?
"That is even ruder then mentally speaking when some cannot," Venka said coolly.
Divena
"My tsmunkan chooses not to speak your words for reasons of his own," Ting said, flatly.
Bardess Ookami
"You were asking about the darkness?" Tyleet asked quickly, to keep a fight from beginning. She needed to know if these odd ponies could be trusted, and if they could, they did not want to make them hostile. Well, she knew one whose instincts she could trust, instincts, and more. He would have good advice. *Suntop, could you come here, please?* Tyleet sent mentally, on a private line so that only she and the son of the chief could hear. Then it was just a matter of stalling until he got there, and if he said they were foe, stalling until help could follow.
Divena
"Yes," Ting kept the word short, not wishing to reveal anything to these possible foes that they did not already know. It was not in her nature to be suspicious, but they were clearly separated from their home somehow, and she felt unbalanced.
Bardess Ookami
Her brother leaned against her gently, silently offering his support. They might hear the rest of the people dimly, but his sister came in loud and clear. "Nga ke nì'awtu," Ta reminded her softly. Then he turned to the others. "You know of this darkness?"
Subtitles: "You are not alone,"
Tyleet nodded, then gave a small smile as they all heard the sound of footsteps, the sound telling her of a single pony approaching. His scent told her who it was, then she frowned. He was not alone. The other pony moved silently, but her nose never lied. Why had Suntop brought Redlance?
Divena
Ting allowed her weight to rest lightly against her brother. "Tell us of the darkness?" she asked, vaguely aware that others were coming. It was more an instinct than hearing them. She did not like that she couldn't see them.
Bardess Ookami
Tyleet nodded, but did not speak, as the bushes moved.
Suntop stepped through and smiled at each of them, "Shade and sweet water."
"Cubs," Redlance said, coming out from behind him to nuzzle his daughter, Tyleet.
"Suntop, father, these are Na'vi," Tyleet said.
Divena
Ting inclined her head, hiding her irritation at the arrival of more strangers. They may be small, but the twins were rapidly being outnumbered.
Bardess Ookami
Suntop closed his eyes then looked at Tyleet. "I have my magic feeling, but I think it is around them, not them as people. They do not seem to be magic, but magic was used recently on or around them."
Tyleet nodded. "They wanted to know about the darkness, father, they arrived as I was about to tell Venka the story of Madcoil again, and the times the land has gone dark in their past. It's not an official howl, but I still wanted to tell the story, is that alright, father?"
"I do not think Two Moons would have any problem with it, cub. Will you tell the whole tale?" Redlance asked.
Tyleet shook her head. "Perhaps not. I hadn't decided yet. I figured I would follow the story and see where it led."
"Dreamberries?" Redlance asked. "With the purple wine, the telling might be long."
Tyleet laughed. "I was not thinking of using dreamberries." She glanced at the Na'vi. "Unless the two of you would care to have some?"
Divena
Ting tilted her head slightly. "What are dreamberries?"
Bardess Ookami
"Dreamberries are a fruit that make the telling easier, but more, aid the listing. With enough dreamberries, you can see the story, with a minimal mind link. Pike used to swear that with enough dreamberries he could see the story without any mindlink.... and without any story either," Redlance said with a wistful chuckle. He missed the missing ones dearly, and could only hope they would all make their way to the new holt soon.
Tyleet laughed. "The trolls make it into wine, and taught Bearclaw, our chiefs father. They've regretted a lot of things they taught him," she said with a giggle.
Well, this certainly sounded interesting, Ta thought.
"Of course, if you drink too much, mother laughs at you as she heals the headache the next day and my twin sister gets scoldy," Suntop said. "She only remembers that she is an adult now when it suits her."
Divena
"I see," she murmured, though she didn't fully understand. She looked to her brother. "Tsun ayoeng fmi?"
Subtitles: "Should we try?"
Bardess Ookami
He considered. It was tempting, but something held him back. "We appreciate the officer," he said, making an effort to speak in the language that these people understood. "Perhaps another time, however. For now, could we simply hear the tale as is?"
Tyleet nodded. "Sure."
Divena
Ting hid her relief at her brother's choice. If he had thought the dreamberries were a good idea, she would have braved the new experience. However, with the sounds of their ancestors muted, and confronted with strange creatures, she was not eager to try yet another next thing.
Bardess Ookami
Tyleet nodded. "Alright. Forgive me if I tell this wrong, please, I am not our story teller. The land where I was born was not the land our people came from, but we crash landed there, on the world of two moons." Tyleet very much was not their story teller, and anyone who knew this tale could tell, for she left out both the reason for the crash, and the greeting they received from the natives. The high Ones, our ancestors, also called the First Comers, they were used to a world where one did magic as easily as breathing. They were self changers and world changers. A great many of our stories begin with the High Ones, for they are the roots from which our lives grew. However, in the new land, their magic worked oddly. Few retained the ability to fly, far fewer retained the ability to self change. When they tried to conjure food, they got stones, or water, or plants. When they tried to heal, their magic sometimes vanished into the nothing. Or rather, they thought the magic vanished.
"Pools of this warped magic remained, however. And while we eventually learned to control our new powers, the world had been damaged without our knowing. The magic gathered, and went stagnant. And in one case, two beasts locked in battle over one such pool as it was struck by lighting. The blood feud, the lighting, and the magic mixed to create of the two animals, one single monster. Our people called it Mad Coil. The monster lived only to eat, and it ate us, it ate humans, and it ate in abundance. It's filth stank up the woods, and what few animals it did not eat, it drove off. While I do not think we ever encountered the remnants of any other pools of darkness form magic soured, I do not doubt that they are there."
Divena
Ting frowned as she processed this tale.
~~~~

Ewya reappeared before Munwill and Somocking. "This was not where I expected to see my people, and you will remedy the situation you have brought about. While these people will be good for the Na'vi to know, the time for that is not yet, and shall not be yet until I have spoken with one other. They too have one they consider almost as much a Diety as my people consider me, and she walks among them, hidden yet in their thoughts as I. I had no intention for these paths to cross without the permission of Timmian, the High one. That being said, you will understand that I speak with the patience of one that has existed since before the first songs. Get. Them. Out. Of. There. Now. Are we clear?"

"She's a spoil sport, isn't she?" Somocking whispered to Munwill.

Well.... that was fairly long winded. Munwill shrugged. "As the lady wishes," he waved a hoof and got them out of there. Dropping them in the path of another couple....

Bardess Ookami
Ta glanced around. Of course something weird sent them somewhere else, they had just been getting the hang of where they had been. "Oe ma alaksi ne kä kelku set, tsmuke," Ta said with a sigh. This was becoming repetitive and tiresome. He looked around the unfamiliar woods. Darker then any place they had been, yet still alive. A flash of red caught his eye. He turned toward it in time to see a long purple braid vanish behind a tree. At last, one of their people. "Pey, tsmukan," he called out to the stranger.

Chrno turned to the sound of an unfamiliar voice. It was speaking a language that he did not know, but the more he traveled, first with Aoin, now with Rosette, the more he found that he truly did not know. Of course, with Rosette, exploring the unknown made him hesitant. Yet... "Rosette," he called out to her.

Subtitles:Ta glanced around. Of course something weird sent them somewhere else, they had just been getting the hang of where they had been. "I am ready to go home now, Sister" Ta said with a sigh. This was becoming repetitive and tiresome. He looked around the unfamiliar woods. Darker then any place they had been, yet still alive. A flash of red caught his eye. He turned toward it in time to see a long purple braid vanish behind a tree. At last, one of their people. "Wait, brother," he called out to the stranger.

Divena
Ting only half agreed with her brother. While things were getting...tiresome, she viewed the experiences as necessary and enlightening. She hung back slightly while her brother called out to a stranger.

Rosette paused when Chrno called out to her. "What is it?"

Bardess Ookami
"I heard something back there," Chrno said, knowing, just knowing he would regret it. Well, at least there was nothing out here for Rosette to blow up. No cars, no buildings, no statues, no ocean liners no... "Don't let her blow up the trees," he muttered. He wasn't exactly praying, but he hoped it with all his sinner heart.

"Oe fpìl 'aw Na'vi kä tsa'u fya, tsumuke," Ta said softly, by way of explanation. He nodded towards where he had seen the Queue.

Subtitles: "I think one of The People went that way, sister," Ta said softly, by way of explanation. He nodded towards where he had seen the Queue.

Divena
"Why would I blow up the trees?" Rosette asked, changing course to go investigate. "Are they demonic trees or something?"

Ting gave a small nod to show she understood.

Chrno sighed, adjusted the box on his back and followed, huffing out a small breath. He would not tire himself out arguing with her about demon trees. Especially since they were beginning to learn about other kinds of demons as it was. Who knew, maybe she was right. Okay, that was an unpleasant thought. He eyed a tree suspiciously as he passed it.

Ta looked up as he spotted Rosette approaching. At first he just saw blue. His heart skipped a beat. Then he saw the blue was a cloth covering that had draped across her neck. His eyes took in the pale skin, blond hair and he sighed. They had not found their people after all. "Txoa oe, tsmuke." If he had not seen one of their people, what had he seen?

Chrno stepped beside Rosette and looked at the strangers. If they hadn't just been talking to some one dark brown and red with scales, married to some one blue with a butterfly on her side this... might have actually weirded him out. What did make him a bit curious, however was that these two some how felt... almost like the astral line. HE closed his eyes a moment, he could almost feel a power with these two. Not so much coming from them or being pulled to them, just... existing. He opened his eyes to glance at the watch, relieved that it had not opened. He couldn't recall the last time he felt so... complete... without it shortening Rosette's life.

Ting paused a bit, studying both of the strangers. There was something odd about the smaller one. Something... familiar. "Tslam, tsmukan."

Subtitles: "It's fine, brother."

"Uh... Hello!" Rosette chirped. She'd gotten past the surprise of finding strange creatures in her life. After the scaled horse and his absent minded girlfriend, she'd decided to accept whatever happened, come as it may. Rather... after they ended up here after dying, she had decided to just accept... she was getting off topic. Focus, Rosette!

Ta opened his mouth to speak when he spotted the braid over the shoulder of the one in the red jacket. He blinked. So that was what he saw. But the skin color, no not just that, much seemed wrong. Yet he had to ask. "Are you Na'vi?" He asked Chnro. He could almost feel something off of him. Not quite like the voices he got from the people, but not as silent as most of the others they had met thus far.

Eywa narrowed her eyes at Munwill. "That was not at all what I meant, as I am quite sure you are aware. Put them back this instant!"

Munwill smirked. "As you will it," he said with yet another wave of his hoof. He put them back.... with the Elves.

Ting blinked as the scene around her blurred and they found themselves among the elves they had just left. She... honestly hadn't remembered moving. "Fyape fì'u nìmun?" she groaned.

Tyleet blinked, and unknowingly echoed her. "How are you here again? I did not hear or smell you come or go."

"Something is odd," Venka said.

"The magic has returned. I can ask Savah what she thinks this means," Suntop offered.

"Be careful, cub," Redlance warned.

"I will monitor for the Black Snake," Venka assured Redlance. "Winnowill will not get Suntop again."

Suntop closed his eyes and sent his spirit out.

Venka closed her eyes to keep "watch" over him.

"Again, not what I meant. Fine, I shall specify. Put them back where you found them, when you found them and how you found them. This means alive, unharmed, still breathing and not half under ground or phased halfway through a tree," Ewya said sternly.

"Oh!" Somocking said. "That sounds fun, we so have to try that sometime!"

"Keep that in mind, Somocking," Munwill chuckled. "I was getting bored with these two anyway." He waved his hoof and returned them to the exact moment and state he had taken them from.

Ewya nodded once. "That is better. I am responsible for the balance of their lives. I do not take kindly to that balance being upset. Please keep that in mind for the future. The Na'vi are mine." Ewya glanced in once, and satisfied that the twins were when and where they should be, she left, resolving to keep an eye on Munwill and Somocking in the future.

Somocking crossed her eyes and Ewya's retreating back, then shuddered as her mind was filled with an image of a flight of Ikran, then her eyes widened. "OH! Munwill I just got the bestest idea ever!" She grabbed his hoof and pulled. "Let's get some more popcorn!" she said, wondering where they could find anything like those Ikran....and how much fun it would be to watch them go bobbing for Seaponies!

With a laugh, Munwill allowed his enthusiastic friend drag him off.

Ting spun, staring around the burned out forest where this strange occurrence had started. "Ayoeng ne'ìm," she said, the voices of her ancestors flowing into her. "Eywa lu meuia."

"Eywa lu meuia," he repeated, relieved. He stretched his wings, feeling the voices of the people filling him once more. "Sìltsan ne lu ne'ìm," he added. Then he glanced down at his hooves, at the darkness in the ground. Of course, the original problem remained.

She nodded an agreement as she looked around. Something green caught her attention and she brushed aside a bit of ash to reveal a very green sprout. "Tìrey 'ì'awn, tsmukan," she said, drawing his attention to it. A fire, perhaps. Nature's way of clearing out the old to make room for the new... But that still didn't explain the odd traveling that just occurred.

Subtitles: "There's still life, brother."

He nosed at the ashes gently, and felt the warmth of the sprout against his skin. He smelled the ash. "Txep," he agreed. Then he smiled, he was more in tune with his sister once more. Wandering from tribe to tribe, they put down no roots. He lifted his ash covered muzzle and nuzzled his sister's neck, marking it with the answer to the mystery. He was home.

She rested her head against his neck, thoughts swirling through her mind. With the connection reestablished, she knew her brother wouldn't need words to follow the path her mind took. So much had happened in a short time. So much they couldn't explain. They met many, those who they could hopefully learn from. The only reason she could come up with, why they would have experienced such strange events, was that Eywa wished them to branch out. To travel further and learn of this odd world they had discovered. To learn of those who inhabited it.

"Tsmukan?" she asked, needing to know if he agreed with her assessment. There was no doubt in her mind that he would travel with her.

"Peseng hufwe aysyaw nga oe kä. Kelutral nga tsmuke.," he assured her. He was not so sure that this had been the work of Ewya, however, and knew that she would know his concerns. Ewya did not directly interfere. Or had something changed? What he did agree with was that they should travel and learn more. Their answers lay out there. Hopefully without loosing their connection, however. If not for the muting of the voices, he might have been tempted to agree with her. However, why would Eywa quiet that which she had granted them? He shook his head. He could wonder forever, or they could go and learn. The one who has told them the tale had been interesting, and he wanted to learn more of this...magic... that had been mentioned. "Ayoeng sngä'i set srake?"

Divena
She nodded, understanding his concerns. However, the only way to know for certain was to travel. "Ayoeng sngä'i set," she agreed, choosing a direction that felt right and beginning their newest journey.

Subtitles: "We begin now."

Named for the very pure spirits by her mother, Atokirina tries to help others where she can. She glides down from the trees to help, where needed and slips off again in much the same way. She has a good heart, and a good instinct when it comes to the hearts of others.
