{{I hadn't seen the edits before. Thanks for pointing that out! biggrin }}

Ever didn't have money with her, but what Ares had said to her last night rang in her mind. She could conjure anything she wanted if she just tried. So, why not try something simple? She had money up in her room, but she didn't want to run up there and back down to get it. She'd be late for her meditation, then. So why not conjure something that she had, just not with her? It had to be easier than conjuring something into existence.

Ever started to concentrate, though she didn't close her eyes because that would have looked weird. She put her hand in her pocket and visualized her money leaving her wallet upstairs and appearing in her pocket in her hand.

It took a few moments, but then, she felt the papery substance in her hand and she couldn't keep a soft surprised gasp from escaping her mouth. It had worked! She had done it! Her first generic god power she had ever used. Awesome!

“I suppose that’s fair,” she said to the man, smiling. “My name’s Ari, and yes, I’m from Germany. Born and raised, baby,” she said, laughing. “What’s your name?” When Ever said she had never tasted coffee, Ari’s jaw dropped. ”It’s the best stuff… I swear,” she said. Now that Ever hadn’t ever had coffee, well, this changed things. ”Actually, I think I might have a cup with my new friend here,” she said, pulling her wallet out of her messenger bag.

Aphrodite bit back a retort as she headed in the direction the cat-thing indicated. As she walked, she looked down at the she-wolf. Should she force-change her back? Is she a werewolf or something? Aphrodite asked, curious. I think it would be best if I changed her back… Gosh, I’ve never seen anything so odd since Rommulus and Remus! she growled.

{{That is weird! On the main Bai Ching forum, it showed that I posted last, but then I came into the story, and your posts were here Rrine! It never registered on the section that says who posted last that you had posted. Stupid glitches....}}

Ever shrugged. "I... I don't know if I want coffee. Thank you for the offer, but..."

She looked at the man behind the counter. She spoke softly at first, even though the girls around them were talking. It wasn't polite to raise one's voice. "Go ahead and get her something, please. I wouldn't even know where to start."

"We can start you off easy," Ari offered. "You don't have to have straight coffee. Nein, that wouldn't do. You'd be off the walls!" she said dramatically. "As for me..." she pondered, "... do you have a Grosser Brauner* by any chance?" she asked politely.

(That's pretty much reg. coffee + espresso + milk c: I'm not a big coffee drinker, so I had to look that up XD)

Musica was becoming very fond of this very abler blind girl. Silly him for pitying her in the least. "My name dear is Musica Brandt, but feel free to just call me Musica. Oh yes yes, I was born and raised there myself by my mother and step dad. After their passing I began to travel and found myself working a quaint little coffee shop in town nearby. If you like you should come down one day if you students are allowed and try some of my more specialty coffees. I'm sure a German like you can appreciate Miss Ari."

He then looked at the other girl whom Ari was with and after speaking of never having this divine liquid, he mocked a gasp of shock before he spoke. "Why miss never? How can it be that you've lived so long without it? Here I must simply let you try it."He then poured two cups of coffee for the girls and handed them out individually. "Here these two on are on the house, now one for the beginner." He spoke smiling at Ever as he gave her the cup. "And here's one for..." He said placing Ari's in her hand slowly, his hand brusing across hers as he did so. "My new friend Miss Ari." He spoke slowly, other girls around looking at him as he raised up his shades to reveal his well hidden eyes. They showed a calm intensity that was all his own.

EDIT: ((So sorry I posted and didn't see your posts sad just assume he didn't hear over all the chattering girls. XD))

The corners of Ari's mouth twitched as his hand brushed hers. He was being overly careful on purpose, and a pink blush colored her cheeks. She could always tell when people were staring. Little did they know, it caused disturbances in the air that she could feel... and right now? Everyone was staring. She could feel one gaze in particular that was particularly intense, and she could guess who it belonged to. "Danke, Herr Musica," she said charmingly in German. "I think I'll take you up on that offer. So much English gets overbearing after a while... ja?"

(Hooray for babbling girls 8D)

Ever watched the exchange between Ari and the man behind the man selling the coffee, whose name was apparently Musica. That was an interesting name. It had a ring of familiarity to it, but she couldn't remember where she had heard it before. She liked the exchange between the two. It was cute.

And when the man handed her and Ari coffee, on the house, she smiled politely and nodded her head. "Why, thank you, sir. That is very kind of you."

She heard what Ari said about not starting off on straight coffee, but since this was free, maybe she should. No time like the present. She was looking down at her cup and blowing into it to cool off the liquid, so she didn't see the man lift up his shades and reveal his eyes. If she had, she would have noticed an aura in them that would have shocked her and she would have remembered where she had heard the name Musica before.

But she didn't, and it was probably all for the best. She needed to start out her morning well.

Finally, she leaned her head forward and carefully and slowly took a small sip of the drink that had been given to her. Almost immediately, she had to turn her head so that the man wouldn't see her grimace. It was awful! Who would normally drink this willingly?! There was no flavor, no sweetness, nothing. She had heard that people drank this liquid frequently, but how?!

She put a smile back on her face, though, and turned her head back toward the man. "Well that was, fine. Thank you very much, sir."

Ari nearly burst out laughing. Though Ever put on a lovely facade, Ari could sense the face she pulled. Apparently, Ever didn't like coffee just as much as coffee didn't like Ever. "It's an acquired taste," she said delicately, trying to restrain her laughter. "I suppose I ought to have mentioned that..." Ari was trying to shake the feeling of all the stares off her back. It was one thing that frustrated her. It was rude to stare, but she couldn't see who was staring so she could make a face at them. She couldn't even tell if they were staring at her at all. Was Musica making a face at her? No, there would be laughter along with the staring. Maybe it had to do with the whole hand-touchy thing... not that she minded the hand-touching.

As the girls around the table continued to ooh and ahh about his eyes, Musica was studying the young woman he was seeming to becoming fond of. "Ihr mehr als willkommenes Fräulein Ari." He said this in what could only be described as a seductive purr. And people thought he talked sexy in English.
"And your right about the English, no offense to the ones natively speak it of course, but it grows tiresome and monotonous very quickly. I'm glad to hear I'll being seeing you at my shop, though I'm not sure how much I'll be able to get back there seeing how much these girls love my coffee. Maybe I should bring a few specialties here as well." He said still smiling, knowing the girl couldn't see it but he was fine with that.

He then looked at Ever and could tell she didn't like her first taste. He pointed to his array of sugars and creamers. "I bet if you tried it with some of this in it, you'd like it much more. But if not that's fine too, at least you wasted no money eh? Oh and I suppose you already know my name as Musica, but I don't believe I know yours. Would you mind enlightening me dear?"

Ari didn’t know what to say. That tone of voice was really sexy. She wanted to say something witty like she usually did, but for probably the first time in her life, she couldn’t think of anything to say. Instead, she put her glasses back on top of her head so he could see her eyes. She rolled them before saying: ”Diese Mädchen werden wahrscheinlich folgen Sie zurück in Ihre Kaffee-Haus wie Welpen!” Usually, after she made a gesture with her eyes, she would quickly put her glasses back on. People found it creepy to have a blind person ‘stare’ at them. So, to spare him of her ‘stare’, she quickly placed her glasses back on over her eyes.

Ever laughed softly at what Ari said and nodded. "Yeah, apparently it is. And I taste that I'm not going to acquire in the future, I'm afraid."

She was about to walk away when Musica began to obviously flirt with Ari. However, when Musica spoke again, she stopped and turned back to him.

"Thank you, but I don't want to have that much sugar in the mornings. And, my name is Evermore Erinýes."

She held out her hand to the man politely. She never worried about saying her last name to people around her age. They never knew that her last name was another name for Furies. Even if a select few did, it didn't matter. It was all Greek mythology to them. Didn't actually exist.

Clopping loudly on the pavement, a man which appeared to be on his twenties made his clumsy way up to the coffee stand that had recently been set up. The man, not bothered in the least by how loud his wooden clogs were with each wobbling step, clumsily brushed past some girls as he was drawn by the smell of coffee.

"I'll have a cappuccino, young man... No, make that your strongest blend." The man managed to utter, amidst yawns. The man was barely managing to stand. His wobbling stance, coupled with his gargantuan eye bags, indicated that the man was in desperate need of sleep. A need, which the man clearly chose to ignore. His head titled every now and then, threatening to collapse on the stand as the man drifted dangerously close to sleep.

Suddenly, Ari was nudged from the back. It wasn't much, but not expecting it made her jump in surprise. She lost her balance and landed on her butt. "Nice going!" she said, a bit peeved. "'Excuse me' would have worked just fine," she huffed, her hand gently searching the floor to make sure the wouldn't bump into something when she stood. When the area was cleared, she stood up and brushed herself off. "Seriously," she muttered again indignantly as she adjusted her skewed glasses. The good news? She saved her coffee!

Musica sensed he was successfully charming this young girl, which only caused him to flirt more. "Das kann zutreffend, aber I' sein; m betraf mehr, was Sie tun würden." He spoke with sincerity in his voice, hoping to covey his thought through voice alone. He laughed when she rolled her her eyes. He reached out slowly and lifted her shades from her face to reveal what he thought were very pretty eyes. "Why do you hide your lovely eyes Miss Ari? Do you not feel us so worthy as to see them?" Resisting from tracing a finger across her cheek he drew his hand back and placed them both in his pant pockets.

Musica felt he should know the last name but didn't. He wasn't one to know much about Greek mythology, only concerned to know about the Norse gods he descended from. "It is a pleasure to meet you Miss Evermore, I do hope give my drink another chance, perhaps sometime when I bring up some specialties?" He asked as he shook her hand, a charming grin graced upon his lips.
