~Window~

[Traverse Town :: Cafe]

Window internally winced. He could tell he had inadvertently brought up a sensitive subject for Nalo. He noted not to ask him too much about that. But something else intrigued him--"Wait, what do you mean, 'everyone ends up in Traverse Town'? Heartless? What are those? Are they a group of bandits?" So many new things to learn, so many novel terms and concepts. It was almost like learning a foreign language.

NALΘ

"Well...When I was in here earlier, I heard other people talking about their own worlds, but I haven't heard anyone talking about this one. I think that this place just...exists and people come here. I don't really know. That's quite the mystery we have." Nalo grinned again. "I don't really know what the heartless are. They are like shadows...beady golden eyes, but they come in different shapes and sizes. They seem like feral beasts, just...angry...hungry. I've heard so many people talk about them and about the gummi shower. It seems they blanket all worlds, not just one. I wish I could help protect the worlds from the heartless though. I guess maybe it'll just have to be one small encounter at a time...I think I smell your food coming...Mmmm...It DOES smell good." The smells of a thick potato and cheese soup came wafting into the room, followed by the subtler smells of tofu and rice. Just then a nicely dressed waiter walked in with a polished metal tray and walked over to their table, gently placing the yellow and ivory dishes in front of Window.

{Ignorance is bliss... until reality throws a Heartless siege at you.}

[Traverse Town : Second District Cafe]

"You know, I've been calling you by the name you've given me. I'd have thought you could at least do the same," he replied with a sigh, tossing his spear softly to the side near the entrance of the Café, where it skidded slowly to a half against the wall. He was just about to get into his fighting stance when Suzuran and Kuumaru appeared in the doorway, the young woman demanding 'Shugotenshi' cease immediately.

Soryuju stood there silently for a moment, eying the young-appearing male in front of him with an analytical gaze. This was, in a way, a trial of the boy/man's character. Should he ignore his master's demands in favor of selfish desire or pride, then it was obvious the two would not be getting along all that well. If, however, he backed down, things would be... different.

"I will not hold it against if you if you choose to postpone the duel," Soryuju said aloud, making sure to put a light emphasis on 'postpone'. His tone of voice was a bit more stoic, using more proper language as he did so, as he had transitioned into his more knightly state-of-mind. He would far rather the man be loyal to his leader than have him disobey his orders; if having the match at another time helped him do so, then Soryuju would gladly comply. "Since I will be joining Suzuran and Kuumaru on their travels, and I assume you will as well since you are their guard, we will have plenty of time to test each other's mettle. Don't you agree?"

˹The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.˼

The Yuki-onna angled a raven brow, lifting her cup to dampen her blood-red lips. Her dark eyes revealed nothing, not even when the Gorgon trapped the two of them in crystalline chambers.

'He wouldn't...'

"Calm yourself, child," she replied, lowering her tea from her lips. "I stopped once you told me to. I didn't even lay a finger on her. However, if it is a crime against the Conclave to feel offended when insulted, to defend yourself when under threat of bodily harm, and to vindicate a fellow member when you feel that they were not treated with complete fairness, then I guess I am at fault," she added softly, twirling one silken onyx tress in her fingers. "But rules are rules, and we all need to abide by them. So do you hear that guys? There is to be no goading of each other into acts of betrayal. Because we totally don't do that on a daily basis," she finished, not bothering to pretend like she and everyone else didn't know what went on behind the scenes. You'd have to be blind, deaf and stupid not to see the way some people held each other. Wait, that must mean only Tsurumi didn't know.

Turning her gaze slightly to the side, Aiko noticed the mauvest of eyes locked thoughtlessly on her. The vixen raised a quizzical yet playful eye at the Drow, who, by the way, wouldn't dream of ripping Fal'navi limb from limb, dangling his intestines from the chandeliers, and offering his blood to his arachnid mistress of pandemonium.

As much as the girl annoyed her, the fox spirit ignored the Nightshade's giggles of delight, easily resisting the urge to lean over and slap the girl silly. Only the tea was too good, her chair too comfy, and Vereor, as nice as he could be, too donnish to irritate through what she saw as justifiable conduct. Though goodness knows that Haruko was too young, asinine, let alone retarded, to be here.

"Vereor is over there, darling," Aiko informed the newcomer, her eyes glittering as she smiled warmly and indicated to the person which he was querying for with a sway of her ethereally pale hand.

{A heart shed for power is the only heart of worth.}

[Castle Oblivion : Commons Area (AKA Kitchen)]

"I may be a child to you, but you are still a child's slave," he taunted, a light chuckle escaping his lips as he did so. He noted the man come forth, asking for him- Kyozuto's newest recruit from his newest conquest. However, he continued with his current conversation regardless. "Clearly, I have no problem with your petty goading or your childish tricks, otherwise I'd have stopped you earlier, hmm? It is when the other person takes action that you have crossed the line."

"Besides, as Fal'navi and Zekvyr seem to know well enough, if I don't see it, it doesn't happen," he began, an airy tone to his voice as he rolled his golden eyes. At that point, the crystalline prisons began to turn to dust, which swiftly vanished into thin air. "Now, I am titled Vereor. The man you just met was Kyozuto. And you've just made it in time for tea, though you don't seem the type to enjoy a glass. Did he happen to tell you of our collective goal?"

User Image"Just cleaning up shop after that attack," he muttered, still chewing a piece of straw as he placed accessories that had fallen down during the attack back in their respective positions on the counter. It had been about half an hour, at most, since the two creeps in black and the massive Heartless attacked the First District, so he was almost done. "And yourself, Mogette? Or're you Mogmo? Mogsby? You all look the same to me, ya know."

˹The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.˼

The corners of the snow woman's lips quirked up as she heard Vereor laugh. As nice as it was to see the child act his age, the vulpine mesmer did wish it was under conditions where she could've laughed along with him. Such a shame too. If it weren't for the... Circumstances leading up to their meeting, the Kyuubi may well have liked the boy a whole lot more than she did at that moment. Instead, she was left cursing the harbinger of her enslavement.

Though her silent profanity didn't last long.

Her curled lips broke out into an outright smile as she chuckled at the Gorgon's remark on Fal'navi and Zekvyr's... Antics. Winking coyly at the Drow, she turned her attention back towards Vereor.
"Oh?" she asked, her smile fading and her face softening to a neutral expression. "And just how much of the exchange between me and this tyro did you see... Exactly?" she asked, pausing to emphasize the last word. With her face full of curiosity, she leaned forwards on her elbows and cocked a brow, feigning ignorance to the answer.
Though nothing was yet set in stone with the latest neophyte, Number X didn't want to give the Samurai a bad first impression of the hospitality of the Conclave, though it was questionable whether or not they were capable of any in the first place. Winking at Vereor to finalize that point in their little struffle, she leaned to the side and pulled out the chair beside her, nodding at him to validate her offer of a seat.

[Moggie : First District : Accessory Shop]

"How many times do I have to tell you, Gramps? It's Moggie," Moggie said as she roughed up her fur and puffed her cheeks at Cid, "If you can't tell us apart I suggest you get some glasses."

Moggie's eyes soon glanced around the shop. The mess was almost cleaned up. The shop upstairs was hit pretty hard as well. They wouldn't of gotten away with it if she was allowed to fight. Those darn cowardly moogles forced her to remain hidden with them till the end of the fighting. Then had the nerve to make her do the cleaning.

She was not going to be a coward anymore. Moggie was going to go out and help fight those jerks.... Right after she was done with the old man.

[Mitsudo]
"Oh? You've got my nose? *riiiiiip* Well, I've got your arm."

[Traverse Town::Second District]

"Forgive me, hime-sama, but I must do this. I cannot allow you to reside in this man's hands if he cannot even fare against me in combat. Now stand back, please. I don't wish for you to get hurt." Mitsudo got into an offensive position, and with a loud roar, proceeded to charge Soryuju with palm out. The Royal Guard attempted to slam his palm into the 'boy's' chest, hoping to do enough damage to make the boy submit.

"You're that blinded by arrogance, huh?" Soryuju muttered, watching the bodyguard charge forward. It was... just that. Straight-forward. There was no way the man was this stupid. Still the debate upon 'Shugotenshi's' intelligence would have to be finished at a later time; for now, Soryuju merely sidestepped the attack, attempting a simple trip-up with his leg as he did so.

[Castle Oblivion: Commons Area]

So much was going on in the Commons Area, but Revelin just sat in his chair and witnessed it all. Starting with the ending that Haruko gave to the despicable bug, once named Diogenes. Then came the arrival of Number X, in which he didn't particularly hate or like, and she ended up in a small tangle with one of the newcomers. Of course he didn't see what she was doing to the poor thing, but he felt it better not to dwell in matters that did not concern him. With the arrival of another new person, Revelin took notice of the samurai, wondering how he would fair in battle. After thinking about it, he shrugged off anything dealing with newcomers and raised his hand attempting to ask for a cup of tea.

"Oh? You've got my nose? *riiiiiip* Well, I've got your arm."

[Traverse Town::First District]

Mitsudo seemed surprised for a moment as he was tripped by Soryuju, but quickly countered by rolling forward and moving into a handstand, then pressing off quickly to land on his feet; a perfect flip for the young man. He seemed to smirk at the promise of a decent match, opting to charge towards Soryuju once more and deliver an aerial kick towards the man's chest.

"Not bad, boy, I am surprised that you actually can fight."

User Image"Eyesight's fine, Mogsby, you're all just identical. Need to color-code your little antenna things for the rest of us," he explained, shrugging off her insult before correcting himself. "Moggie, right, right, whatever."

It was clear that Cid couldn't honestly care less about which moogle it was, or what she was doing. He seemed preoccupied with his own thoughts.

"... well, what?" he asked, breaking out of his reverie to glance at the moogle with suspicion. "You need somethin or you just hangin out?"

"Someone had to protect them a little while ago," he immediately retorted, his lips curling into an immediate, unconscious smile. The kid- no, he was definitely not a kid- the man was obviously trained rather well. It was a good thing the dragon knight hadn't underestimated him, after all. As the kick flew his way, he twisted his body to the side and brought his arm up. Using his arm to parry the kick to the side, he hoped to also strike at the guard's back in the same motion. "You know, when you weren't there."

[Moggie : Trasverse Town : Accessory Shop]

"There are plenty of differences between us. Just you humans don't pay attention enough to notice them, Old Man," Moggie said pointing at Cid's face as she flew, "like some of us wear capes or tops." she motioned her cape she was wearing.

She let feet on the ground in attempt to calm herself. If she got too angry she just might end up casting fire on this old fart. And that might end up in alarming the others, and that is the last thing she wanted.

"No, not really," Moggie said in response to Cid, "I just was stopping to see how you are doing, before I left. Like a good neighbor. I probably won't return for awhile."
