I know you said I didn’t have to tell you everything, but I just started typing and all this happened! I’m sorry, I like to talk.... crying

My [user]name is Zakuro Nakamura, and here is a little about me, and my experience with Dir en Grey.

::~My Intro to the J-Side~::

After the release of Kingdom hearts here in the U.S and viewing the commercials featuring Utada Hikar’s "Simple and Clean" I went to the web to discover more about her, which lead me to Jpop, I soon found out about Gackt, and after searching though a fan site, I came across pictures of a group, called Dir en Grey.

::~Diru + Me~::

Their looks made me quite curious, seeing as I had never heard of, nor seen a VK group before [it was pics from the Macabre Era, I do believe.] I was instantly taken in by the bright color, unique styles and the handsome faces. At that point, Die was my favorite member.

I soon came to forums to meet other who shared my interests, made a friend, who let me listen to my first Dir en Grey song ever... Yokan, off of the Guaze Album. It just seemed like it was meant to be... from there I heard things like Zan, Cage, Yurameki... and others... not to mentions soaking up every bit of information that I possibly could!

While I was looking for Info and pictures I can across a site, called Kyo-Comprehension, if memory serves me right. And on that day, I finally started to take a good look at Kyo and who he was, as an artist, and even a little bit of who he was as a person... and I was like... He’s amazing! He then became [and to this day remains] my favorite Dir en Grey member.

While listening to their CD’s, and learning about them, reading lyric translations, I felt myself changing, growing... some could say for the worse, but I would have to disagree... The music, the words, put thoughts in my mind, thoughts that most likely would have never come to me on my own. Made me want to share... discuss important issues... the effect they had on me showed in my artwork [I love to draw] even if I was the only one that could see it.

::~Spreading the Word~::

Now, wherever I go, I spread the word of JRock, Dir en Grey especially. Every time I join a forum, I make a thread about Japanese Music, to try and get people interested... and somewhere along the line, I always mention Dir en Grey.

A lot of time, I have sig images, avatars with Dir en Grey pictures in them... Kyo mostly... and everyone always says "He’s gross!" or "He’s Scary!" And when they do, I laugh a little, then try to show them what lurks beyond his image, show them that there’s a beautiful soul within him... sure they might not listen... but I do all I can.

I’ve turned over ten people into fellow Dir en Grey fans... through my forums, though my school of JRock, and more... it makes me proud, it makes me happy... some even said "Wow, they named you the JRock Goddess for a reason!" Yeah... they did... and I’m honored to hold that title, even if only on a few forums. [because I know there is more than one person out there who can kick my butt from here to Tokyo!]

People say I’m a JRock Goddess... a JRock Freak, as well as a freak in general... Obsessed... Extremely passionate about JRock... Insane... and many other things... Maybe it’s true?

::~List of Favorites~::

Favorite Band Member: Kyo!
Why: Because Kyo is different, he’s outspoken, and thinks outside the boss, I really respect him!

Favorite Album: Vulgar [at the moment]
Why: I think it has a good mix of songs... I haven’t gotten Withering to Death yet, but I heard three of the songs on the radio, so I can already tell it will soon be my new fave.

Favorite Single: It’s a choice between The Final and Saku
Why: I love The Final, it’s a great song, plus I love the live version of the III Empire... but Saku just rocks my world! I have Saku stuck in my head right now! [all day in fact]

Favorite Live DVD: Haven’t seen any
Why: I’m ashamed, I really hope this doesn’t get me kicked out of the Guild! But I’ll explain, I can explain! Though my mother knows that Kyo can be a bit... vulgar [excuse the lame pun] she doesn’t know "just how vulgar" and after hearing something about his "behavior" on stage... I don’t think it’d be best right now... she might cut me off all together... all she knows is that he curses... v.v

Favorite PV: Saku, Obscure, and Garden!
Why: Wow, when I saw the Saku PV I was all like (O__O) That kid just killed his parents with a golf club! ROCK ON!! Ever since that day, a golf club has been one of my main forum weapons. [and I call it Saku!] Obscure is just so cool, the song is cool... and Kyo is just insanely awesome! As for Garden... ahaha, I was so amused seeing that PV... the way everyone looked, just the whole thing in general, and I really love the song so... uh, yeah! Love Garden!

Favorite Songs: [This is so hard for me] But I like Zakuro [thats how I got my name] Kasumi, Zan, Garden... [the list goes on, but I stop it here]
Why: Well, when I first fell in love, and the guy didn’t return me love I was listening to Zakuro a lot, I really love that song. Kasumi, is really good, really soft, inspires me a lot. [and I can sing it pretty well! XD] Zan, that song s INSANE and I LOVE IT!!! Garden, shows that even though they were just getting started they had a lot to offer, it’s a great song.

So, I guess I’ll stop here before I make a book on "My life as a Dir en Grey Fan" *starts think about it* Hmm... it could sell... @_@

cheyeah.

i first heard of dir en grey about...two years ago. i go to lots of cool art websites, and two of them always had dir en grey stuff on it. those websites, for the curious, are colorblind and golden rain.

so...i downloaded their macabre cd about a year ago. at first i was just like: it's pretty cool.
and that was all.
then a few months ago i became totally obsessed, and now i find myself here. fancy that. xd

i like all the memebers. they all rock my monkey socks...but i've got an intense loyalty for kyo. yesh.
i think kaoru's a cool, down to earth kind of guy. and so freaking elegent that i'm insanely jealous.
die's sexy stuff. though most pictures i've seen of him aren't too great, he's hot in dvds.
toshiya is ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE. but i hear he's a sex freak. ::shrugs shoulders:: not really into that...
and shinya kicks a** in interviews cuz he's a rude little bugger, and i love that.

HI, my 'real' name is joanne and i just joined the guild, obviously. hmm... first and foremost- I LOVE DIR EN GREY! (who doesnt?) har har. my friend introduced me to dir en grey a few months ago (i know, not that long) and ever since then i've been obsessed about them whee . my favorite song(s) by them are Yokan, Cage, Obscure, Red...[em], Kasumi, etc. etc. etc. i have too many too list ^^;; my favorite PV(s) would have to be Kodou, Cage, and Yokan. i could keep on rambling but i'll stop now sweatdrop .
