She hissed before laughing. "Fine then, you idiot human and demon trash! He's with Lord Kujo, now."

Anei looked alarmed. "What does Kujo want with him now?"

The demon half-shrugged. "Don't know, don't care. But when I saw the girl so I could copy her, she looked like some sick cow." She laughed a bit louder.

Anei looked alarmed as Austin ran out. Reimei walked up to him. "I'll handle things here. Go after him, dear." Anei nodded and followed him. "Austin! Wait up!"

Sokras was sitting curled up in a cave. A small fireball kept him warm. Kujo paced back and forth the mouth of the cave as he waited for Sokras to wake. "That idiot demon definitely failed in killing the mortal. But that wasn't my plan. He is infuriated now. And from that, I will draw strength."

"Of course we're ging to find him! But not with you injured!!!" Anei stated, pointing at the wound in Austin's side. "First, you need to get healed up. I know a few healing spells. Once I cast them, we can go look for him." He walked up to him and placed his hand facing the wound and it glowed green.

Sokras groaned as he awoke and opened his eyes to see the cave. "Oh? Well, it's better than a tree." He sat up and froze as pain shot through his body. He fell back down. "Ow! W-what the hell!?"

Kujo turned swiftly as he heard Sokras fall. "Finally, you're awake you little eyesore!" He marched over to him only to be repelled by a barrier. "Aargh! This is still here!?" He attacked it futilely.

{Ch. 2 is up.}

Anei nodded and ran after him. "Considering Sokras' condition, he'll naturally go to a place where he'll be safe!"

Sokras backed up against the cave wall as far from Kujo as he could. He was terrified and that surged through his link to Austin.

Sokras stiffened as he heard Austin. I...I'm in some sort of dark cave. Austin...Kujo is here too. But...some kind of barrier is keeping him away. I-I-I'm not sure how long it'll hold up! He gave a startled yelp as Kujo blasted at the barrier with flame magic, only to have them bounce back at him.

Anei fell to silence as Austin listened to Sokras. Instead, he looked about for any signs of Sokras' location. Then he spotted strange smoke coming from a deeper part of the forest.

Kujo hissed as the arrow struck him. He turned around to face Austin. "Tch. Well, well, well. Look who's here!"

Anei came up behind Austin. He saw Kujo and chanted a spell under his breath. "Austin, I'll handle him!" He then pulled out a kunai with a paper tag attached to it. He threw it at Kujo and powerful light exploded before them. When it faded, Kujo was gone. He had retreated.

Sokras buried his face in Austin's chest sobbing. "I...I..." He couldn't get his words out for he was crying too hard.

Anei was checking the area for any clues as to where Anei could have gotten off to. He then spotted Sokras' jacket discarded and balled up in the furthest corner of the cave. "What the-? ...!?"
