Reaper stared back at Strange for a few long, silent moments. He was still angry. Very angry. Just thinking about Rapture was enough to infuriate him. Now that he could think straight now...almost made it worse. He had pushed him enough to trick him, he got away, AND he got him in trouble.
Despite that...Strange wasn't automatically de-powering him or sending him to an alternate dimension or anything. And, Reaper could understand his current frustrations. So, Reaper did his best to try and calm himself down.
"That man..." Reaper started, absolute loathing in his tone. "Just the site of him is enough to make me want to rip him to shreds. The moment I realized who he was...and that I actually saved him from..." he said, then paused a moment to keep his temper down. "...it wasn't that hard to get me overly upset."

Strange looked down at his desk, his expression difficult to read. "... I actually know exactly what you mean," he said after several moments. There was a ring of truth to his words, but he didn't elaborate. "So in the future, I would suggest being ready for him. You know he's out there, now, and he's obviously interested in you for some reason; plan on him finding you and baiting you again. Expect the rage so that you can head it off before it takes over completely. If," he added, his words taking on a definite chill, "This happens again, the risk to the safety of those I care about will have officially become too great for our relations to continue in this capacity. Have I made myself quite clear?"

Reaper was quiet a moment again, still staring at Strange. His tense stance seemed to relax just a bit. "Understood." he replied calmly after a moment.

He would definately expect to run into Rapture again. He'd find the man himself if he had to. He was serious about killing him. But...not right now. Plan something out that would make sure he didn't snap like that again.

"Excellent," Strange returned evenly, "You may go. Oh," he added somewhat absently, holding out something small, slim, and rectangular in shape, "And Fel-- Black Cat left this for you. The reason why she thought that you would have time to take in a movie is beyond me, but enjoy." Upon closer inspection, it became clear that it was a DVD of Silence of the Lambs. On it was a sticky note with a hastily scrawled message admitting that the writer had no idea how to play the device, but that she would 'obtain' one as soon as she figured it out.

Reaper stared at the movie a moment, blinked, then his stance relaxed considerably. A...movie? She'd left him a movie? Reaper reached out and took the DVD, then held it up to get a better inspection of it. A good movie too. Well, wait. Now that he though about it, she did mention that she'd gotten him a movie earlier in the City. He thought she was just saying that though.
"Well..." he began, a bit of surprise in his tone. "I did tell her that she'd be out of here long before I was. Wasn't expecting X to be too busy to bother with me. Although....it might be best if I do stay here for a while longer." he said, still staring at the case. "At least until everything's been sorted out. One less thing for everyone to worry about."
If he stayed in here, he wouldn't have to worry about Rapture. Well, he would worry about him. He'd be thinking a lot about him actually, but he wouldn't actively be able to do anything. If he was in here, he wouldn't have to worry about loosing it again and hurting anyone he shouldn't. He'd be one less worry for both Strange and the other heroes this way too. If he went out again, he might as well go with an escort. After that little blow up, he'd most likely be a priority if the heroes seen him. Be helpful to have someone around to tell them not to attack him.
And, really, it had been a long time since he'd seen a good movie anyway. He wouldn't mind watching this movie a few times.

He paused a moment as he suddenly thought of something. "Um, do you....know if she's alright?" he asked, his voice now taking a bit of an uncomfortable tone.
He wasn't quite sure...he half blacked out when he snapped...but, for some reason he had a feeling that Cat had been there too. He'd left her for the heroes to take care of when he took Rapture away. And it was apparently those same heroes he ended up fighting. She could have been there. He almost thought she had been there.
He just lashed out at anything that moved...

"I have absolutely no idea," Strange told him, raising an eyebrow, "She was alright when I pulled you here, but the group was attacked by that Black Lantern person right after you left." He paused. "... I should really do something about him." One thing at a time. He closed his eyes briefly, then reopened them. "They're all fine and holed up at Stark Industries." Ghost Rider wasn't with them, though. That would be a problem if the demon decided to try anything.

She was there then. Good though...he didn't hurt her when he lost it.
He paused a moment and took a look at the hand that was holding the DVD. A human hand was the last thing it looked like. Literally bloodstained at that. Wait, was that his blood? He seriously lost control of himself. He was in a completely different state wasn't he? What would she think of him now that she seen him like that?

...wait a minute, why the hell did he care what she thought? She was just someone that took some time to talk to him without judging him, that was all. Just because that was the first time he felt comfortable enough to talk to someone without his mind slipping into imagining what would be a fun way to make them bleed, didn't make her anything more than an acquaintance to him. And acquaintance that he...kind of opened up to. But, that's because she asked and he didn't really care that he told.

He shook his thoughts clear a moment, then turned his attention back to Strange. "Good." he replied simply.

Strange looked at him curiously for a moment, but all he said was, "I'm glad that you're so invested in behaving yourself. Please," he continued evenly, turning his attention back to what looked like an intricate drawing of a nightmarish demon, "Try not to disturb my other guest while you're here. She's in shock, so disturbing her will be difficult, but... You know. No sudden noises, that sort of thing."

Reaper looked back at the DVD a moment. "Right." he replied. "I'll probably keep to myself anyways." he said as he turned his attention back to the hand that held the DVD.

He should probably clean himself up or something. The blood should have soaked back into his skin, dried or not, but this wasn't. A little odd, but perhaps it was because his nerves were still on the fritz. He'd simply have to wash up. Then...maybe it would be best if he just retreated into one of the other rooms for a while. Make sure he stayed out of everyone's way. To be honest, he wasn't sure he'd be able to stay calm if the heroes returned here. Best to just remove himself from the opportunity.
This should give him a chance to completely clear his head too. He hated feeling like he was trapped in one place, but...he had no problem being alone. Just himself and his own thoughts.

He took another moment's pause, then turned to head out of the room.
PostPosted: Thu May 06, 2010 10:38 pm

After Reaper had left Strange's room, he immediately went to find a bedroom or similar place that he could retreat to for the remainder of his stay. With the possibility that the others would come back here, it was probably best that he kept himself out of sight. No need to lash out at anyone again. Plus, he wouldn't have to worry about bothering the woman who was staying here as well.
He'd found a bedroom on the upper floor that seemed to be a guest room, and sat his movie on the bed. After a few moments of siting on the bed thinking to himself, he left to find a shower to get rid of the dried blood that covered most of his form. Finding one, he discarded the tattered remains of his outfit in the trashcan and spent the next hour in the room. He wanted to calm down completely, and he wanted to get himself clean. He normally didn't care if he walked around covered in blood. But...he wasn't in the mood today. Plus, he wasn't entirely sure it was actually blood that was all over him.
Once he was feeling better, he wrapped a towel around himself and retreated back into the room he had found. He searched the drawers for a pair of shorts he could borrow for a while, not really feeling like trying to reconstruct his cloak or anything. Then, he moved his tape onto the drawer beside the bed and crawled in. He needed to regain some of his strength, and this should be the easiest way to pass the time.

Meanwhile, Alcina had been lying across the couch staring absently at the floor in front of her. Exo still hadn't returned, but she sort of knew that he wouldn't. He'd come to try and cheer her up, then something suddenly caught his attention.
Something more important than her. No real surprise, considering everything. She had no powers, no family, and until she had it cleaned out she had no home. In a way, she supposed she deserved it. Before she ever met Xaio, she was on her way to becoming one of the higher spiritual beings. One of the higher powers. There were strict rules, and if she thought about it, she's broken most of them since she met him. There was no becoming involved with another being, no leaving 'family', no having children, no using magic for personal reasons...and quite a few other things that she had done that she wasn't supposed to.
That world was destroyed and forgotten, so she couldn't return to her former life. She couldn't return to Xaio. She couldn't return to her son. She couldn't return to her home. She had nothing now. And she was sure if she ever passed on to the next world, she'd have a low status there as well.

Doctor Strange continued scribbling, his brow furrowed in concentration and his hair mussed from having his hand run through it so many times. Wrath of God, Wrath of God... Maybe he was approaching this from the wrong direction. If he could get everything back into it's proper dimension, then everything would snap back to normal, up to and including their memories; he wouldn't HAVE to fight the physical incarnation of the Wrath of God, because he would have never met him in the first place. Effectively.

Suddenly, he blinked and looked up. Something was...

Wrong. Really, really wrong.

He shivered, then closed his eyes and tried to pinpoint the source of the problem, but it seemed to be spread out among several people...

He couldn't find Spider-man.

The older one, that was. The younger one was still in Stark Industries... No... Tony Stark wasn't there, either, and neither was Black Cat. And where was Superman? Batman? Wonder Woman? Martian Manhunter? Even the Batman's younger counterpart seemed to be missing. And the Flash... He'd actually been missing for a while, now that Strange was looking at it. So... Spider-man, Flash, Batman, Batman of the Future, Black Cat, Superman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter... What did they have in common?

Well, they were all very important to several possible outcomes to this whole mess. This wasn't the work of garden variety villains. This was the work of somebody who could SEE the potential timeliness, just like he could. Taking Black Cat out would have a severe effect on Ghost Rider in particular. Spider-man was a changer of fates, someone who could make destiny jump from one path to another. Flash would be needed for his access to the speed force. Superman had to control that cousin of his. Batman was much like Spider-man, except that he needed to be found even sooner--if the Mad Hatter scenario played itself out without Batman there to intervene... even HE couldn't see where that would lead.

... Oh, no.

Where was Deadpool?

Feeling a sickening flutter of something uncomfortably similar to panic, he got abruptly to his feet and strode over to his fireplace. "Verum... verum... CORPUS!" he cried, and an enormous, fiery door opened where it had been. He relaxed a little. "Show me where--"

"Oh, I don't think so, little sorcerer," hissed a low, wickedly satisfied voice.

Strange's eyes widened. He knew that voice. He opened his mouth to shout the word of command that would shut the door--

An gargantuan, gnarled, pitch black hand shot out of the door and grabbed Strange around the middle. Before he could so much as make a sound, it yanked him back through the door, which vanished with a slight, rather innocent little pop.

The office was silent.

A piece of notebook paper fluttered to the floor. On it was a hastily scribbled list of names. 'Batman, Superman, Spider-man, Black Cat, Iron Man..." At the very end of the list, double underlined and in all capital letters, was the word 'DEADPOOL.'

// OMG...what just happened...? //

Alcina continued to sit on the couch, staring absenly at the floor in front of her as her mind bounced from one thing to another. She didn't have her powers yet, so she had no idea what had just occured in the Doctor's office.

Reaper...on the other hand, did have more of a sixth sence at the moment. He didn't have the power to know exactly what had happened, but he did sence that something had in fact happened.

His eyes shot open and he stared at the ceiling for a long moment. He then sat up in the bed he had been sleeping in and looked around. Something had happened, he could sence something had, but he didn't know what. Something was just...different.
After another moment, he rolled his legs over the edge of the bed and stood. He glanced over at the movie that had been left for him, then picked it up and slid it into a large pocket of a red trench coat that formed over his body on his way out of the room.
He again paused in the hallway and looked around. Nothing seemed to be off around here. He could sence blood downstairs, but none had been spilt. So what was it that was bothering him? Something just felt...really, really bad. He'd only had this kind of sensation three times in his entire life. It was NOT something he was used to feeling, and it made him very uncomfortable. Probably because something really, really bad did happen. He hated to even think about it. He NEEDED to know what the source of the problem was here or he'd drive himself crazy wondering.

Turning, he carefully headed down the stairs to check on things down there.

((Oh, you know. I've actually been planning this for a while; I just decided to do it sooner rather than later.))

// Well it's an awesome plot twist, even if I'm now afraid for my characters. xp //

Reaper made it to the room he had stayed in the first time around. There was still a woman occupying his couch. She did seem like she was in her own little world at the moment, but other than that she seemed fine. He'd been told not to bother her, so he turned and went to find the others. There should still be that other man who apparently lived here as well. And...there was someone new here. In the Kitchen?
He couldn't sence the sorcerer, but then he couldn't really before. So he wasn't thinking much of it.

Wong was in the kitchen, and was stirring a pot of something that smelled spicy and exotic and looking preoccupied. He looked up when Reaper entered, and frowned a little at the look on his face. Then, quite suddenly, the frown deepened considerably. "... Did you do something?" he asked slowly. Clearly, whatever Reaper had felt, Wong was at least vaguely aware of it, as well.
