Kai answered her comm.
"Thanks Robin. Impulse and Flash girl will be there. And... Bart? of course it's Bart, who else would it be? Psh-- Bart is Kid Flash, this is a new impulse."
She replied sarcastically at first then came back with a smart alick remark.
"She is Flash's niece, and Flash girl is Impulse's sister. But I got to go k, I have to deal with some crime here in Gotham since some non-gothamites might need my help for finding this rogue Batman..."
Kai turned to FG and Impulse and then glanced at the portal. She clasped her communicator shut holding it In one hand.
"I want you two to go to the Institute. Robin, Superboy, and Beastboy are there with several other heroes. You'll be safe and I will be in Gotham. I want to make sure Alfred gets settled in and take care of the Rogue Batman I told Rob about."
Kai then took her back pack off pulling her hoodie off with it revealing her tattered black tanktop. She reached into her back quickly pulling out her utility belt and top with the RC on it putting it over her black tank and clasping the shirt to it. She placed her belt on and put the comm in one of the pouches. She took her pants off and underneath was her red bottoms and she was ready for fighting crime as RC. She turned towards them it was only a matter of a minute before she was ready. She smiled at them a little putting one of her hands on their shoulders.
"Just go through this portal. It will feel a little... strange... but you will be safe. I have used Des's portals about a dozen times now."
She held her smile a little, despite the fact she knew she would probably be out on Gotham alone by the time she left since the cajun's would be so far ahead of her. And the fact that she wished she could come as well to catch up with them. She also hoped that the smile would distract the young flashes from seeing her tattered and bloody costume despite the fact that the flashes were so observant due to their training.

Reaper hadn't moved from his spot since Kai came over and had her argument with the cajun. He stood there, very still and very silent, just observing everyone. Taking in any detail he could.
His eyes fell on the portal as it appeared, and frowned a bit. That was supposed to take the kids to other heroes. He could try and hitch a ride, but that would be far from smart. One, the only way he'd be able to do so would be rather noticeable. Two...he wasn't sure exactly how it worked. It was only for the two, so it might reject him if he tried to send a part of himself into it.
Oh well....perhaps he'd just have to make a trip over to Edel's later. See what he could do to get her to help.
Reaper looked back over at Kai as she slipped her top off, and his frown grew at the sight of the bloody costume. He made a point to focus his attention on something else. Over at the two children perhaps.

Catgirl's voice came through on Red Cardinal's communicator. "Hey, Cardinal. We've found out this guy likes Thai food. I'm gonna sniff up a few Thai places around town for the right mix of spices. If you can fly around over head and keep an eye out around town? Just let me know if you find another Batmobile running around... If that would be alright with you?"
She paused for a moment before speaking again. "This guy is about 6 foot and weighs about 200 pounds, with his equipment."

Okay, now there were more people than needed. They start off with one freak in the house, and it's suddenly multiplied? Impulse stayed in her sister's shadow the whole time, staring at every new face that appeared. What is this, a house party? Getting up on her toes, Impulse tugged on her sister's jacket. "Hey, how many freaking people know where this place is? I thought it was supposed a secret," she mumbled, feeling belittled from the fact that everyone seemed to know where this place was. After a while of boring, boring, boring, Impulse heard "Robin". Now she was listening. She peered from behind her sister to Kai and smiled, nodding vigorously. To Robin? Okay! Robin, Robin, Robin, she chirped in her head, starting to sound like a parakeet in her head. She clapped a bit, staring at the portal. "Yes, yes!" She got down low, racing upstairs and quickly grabbing her cat, stuffing her in her jacket, and flashing back downstairs. "Come on, come on!" She got down, Nymphs peeking out of the top of her jacket a bit as she leaned forward. "Race you~" she cooed to her sister, wanting to get there as quick as possible. Her feet bounced with excitement.

She answered her communicator nodded to Catgirl a bit.
"Got it. I'll do that thanks for the info"
She clasped her communicator closed and looked back at the flash girls. Spreading her wings. Kai pulled a wing towards herself and felt at a few feathers still looking at her very young friends.
"Okay guys, but be careful on the other side. Depending on if you enter the main building or above ground. You might hit the end of a short hallway or trip on rubble."
Kai inspected her wings slightly making sure her feathers were still good.
"I will meet you guys there later. Tell Robin to hold on k."
She nodded.

Jaquelyn whistled for her golden retriever who was waiting near the top of the stairway leading into the cave. The pup made her way cautiously into the cavern and up to FG, and was then picked up. She was growing more and more excited to know they would be meeting more.
"Tell him... to hold on?"
She looked at Kai, with quite the questioning but restless look on her face.
"Hold on for what?"
Those kinds of words put together in that order didn't register for a flash-member. Especially a very young one.

"Whatever it is, if Robin needs my help or if he wants to see me he has to wait... and... why is your golden /slow/?"
She looked at the dog as it was picked up. As far as she remembered the dog was a flash dog, very fast but came down more slowly than usual.
"Flash dog, didn't come downstairs like a Flash dog... I guess... Next time you throw the leash at me she won't drag me around at 120 miles per hour will she?"
Kai smiled a little then petted Cheyenne the golden puppy, with her good hand.
"Hm- I think after crime fighting I will have to get Alfred to make me a new costume as well as stitch any new wounds I am probably going to get. Fighting a few demons, two assassins, getting shot by another hero on accident, and capturing a corrupt agent in a base has left my clothes in tatters..."
Kai sighed looking towards the entrance the others used to leave.
"Now I get to work with that guy who shot me by /accident/ to find a impostor batman, as if this world wasn't already enough. And I don't have Nightwing to talk to... Man I miss hearing d**k's voice, and I could really use his help here."
Kai shook her head no and then looked back at Flash Girl and stopped petting the puppy. She stepped aside to give them free range of the portal.
"Sorry about my babbling, I know how excited Impulse must be to see Robin and I really need to go help those guys in Gotham. I mean... I would ask for help but you guys are so young, and Gotham really isn't a place for Flashes to begin with."

Crystal's voice came over Kai's com again. "Cardinal. I'm at the Thai restaurant where the 'Batman' frequents. I need you as back up just in case."
Crystal paused a moment. "I know you're not feeling well so I don't want you to jump in the fight unless we need you. I don't want you getting any more hurt than you already are unnecessarily."

FG nodded quickly, then looked down to her pup in confusion for just a small portion of a second.... before her attention was drawn back to the portal. Impulse was practically going to bounce around the cave if they didn't leave now.
"Careful, Kai."
Jaquelyn's anxioty was getting to her. Maybe her sister's energy was effecting her. She approached the portal, ready to dash in...
(...Alfred's gonna have to take care of that food that's cooking in the kitchen. sweatdrop )

A loud "VROOM!" Sounded from outside the cave as Catgirl's motorcycle revved up and then peeled out as it spun around and hit the rode, exiting to Gotham.

Not long after the bike takes off the computer starts searching it's files automatically, pulling up a file on facial recognition.
ex-NYPD detective, Damon McCready who was convicted of drug possession and was in Riker's for 5 years While he was locked away, his wife committed suicide. Only surviving family member is one Mindy McCready. When Damon got out of prison, he took off with his daughter.
Before McCready was arrested, he was investigating a New York crime boss called Frank D'Amico....

Kai nodded to the flash girls as they left through the portal. As it closed behind them she went over to the computer and downloaded the new message to her communicator along with a map of the new city in case there were any differences. She felt she was running rather behind despite wanting to talk to the intruder to the Wayne manor and checking on Alfred it would have to wait. If anything that old English butler could handle himself. She spread her wings and jumped flying through one of the entrances to the cave that she had an easy access to up into the City of Gotham.
