It wasn't that Shef refused to pay attention to Kiki. It was just that the giant crocodile, large enough to swallow several people whole in one bite, was arresting his attention. Shef could say nothing, paralyzed with fear he so was, and none of the others appeared to notice it.
Onstaan altered his direction to approach Alhiria, albeit slowly and with laze. Thing was, despite Reign's boasting, Onstaan could not be defeated by Alhiria. He was just too large.
Calentine breathed in deepily, closing his eyes once again. Yet he could still see. The various gypsies moving about the ... the tree, they were all known to him. Reign, and Alhiria up above. Onstaan was too far away as of yet to be seen by him, through bark and leaves and whatnot. But Calentine knew the dragon was coming.
"Why the hell are you keeping me here? It's your fault that anybody is hurt."

Kiki frowned. He wasn't even paying attention to what she was saying. Just staring at the water.
What was so intresting about water anyway? They weren't like the forest.
You could travel one way in water- it was usually cold, strong and easy to die in.
Kiki rolled her eyes, and traveled to where he sat.
She crouched down, looked at his stupid frozen face.
Kiki squinted her brown eyes, and tried to follow his path of vision to..
A log.
Kiki rolled her eyes and smacked him upside the head.
"I'm absolutely trembling in my coconut bra.." She murmered. Instinctively, picking up a large pebble from the bottom and chucking it at the formation.

Kiki apparently did not know her own strength, because at this point Shef fell into the said water, although it was warm, not icy cold.
And the log sank under the water.

Of course He'd fall in.
Kiki looked out into the distance.
Where did the log go?! Logs floated, why else would have this boat been made out of wood- OH NO. Why did she get the feeling that the log had teeth?
Kiki looked at Shef. She looked at the spot.
Then she looked at Shef, was he underwater? Where was he? Kiki shot up, and tried to look for a rope or a canvas or some bits of string or something.
Kiki winced, and looked to Harlin, and Floreta.
Thanks for the backup- it's not like she was with him the whole time, they were..she thought.
Kiki winced, muttered something and looked at her hands, and the water once more.
She stuck a hand in and tried to grab Shef.

The log was a long way away, and Shef already knew about the crocodile. He was up and nearly pulled Kiki in during his attempt to ascend into the boat.
"Outoutoutoutoutout!" he screamed, then flipped the boat in his frantic efforts.
Then his screams of 'out' turned into garbles of 'gugr'.

Kiki screamed underwater. A mixture of fear and anger went over her, because she knew the crocodile was coming this way even if they were in the boat.
WHICH THEY WEREN'T THANKS TO SOMEBODY.
WITH SOME HOPE, they were still near enough to the shore that they could have swam back in time, and avoid the possible leeches/creatures that inhabit the bottom of waterbeds that the writer hates so much.
Guoyducts, Kiki remembered.
Kiki glared, and swam after Shed, and reached for his shoulders to try and beat him up in slow motion underwater.

Sometimes, when I'm sitting in my bedroom...
All ALONE... in the DARK...
I sometimes look up at the stars and wish I was them.
All ALONE... but in plain SIGHT...
But then I think of something...
.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.Floreta yelped as she went in the water, and Marina screamed. Kicking her legs, Floreta burst upwards in the bubble underneath the boat, looking around. "Shef?" She asked frantically, looking at the water. "Shef? Teacher Harlin? Marina? Kiki?" Marina, however, was struggling under the water. Being cat she was, she couldn't swim. Help me-!---- Reign rolled her eyes. "You wouldn't be here if you would just tell me what I wanted to know," she replied. "It's really that simple." ---- Alhiria swallowed, shifting restlessly as she waited, trying so hard to be calm. It's okay. She told herself. It's okay.((Poo. So more than three thousand years of experience is nothing compared to a dragon that's two years old and that's just BIG?))  .x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.x.X.
It's really strange, I think...
When they're up there...
They're all ALONE. In the DARK. But everyone can SEE them...
It's strange when I look up at them...
Because they kinda remind me of YOU.

Harlin Ander's eyes widened just as he realized what had sunk under the water and then... the boat capsized. His ability would be of no use to him in the water, which slowed down his reactions. And everyone else's.
Unfortunately, one of the most effective rules when defending yourself against a crocodile was "don't boat when crocs are in the area" and the other being "stay on land."
However, he did know some other good things to consider when trying to survive crocodiles, although this was the Ether, as he had to remind himself. But it was still worth a shot.
"Guys, make a lot of noise, crocs hate loud noises!" he yelled at the top of his lungs. "If they get too close hit them on the nose if you won't lose a limb."
Also, if they start to roll, roll with them. Play dead if you have to. Of course, those were things to do when a crocodile got hold of you, which, Harlin prayed, wouldn't happen.

"Make haste." he said calmly, "We must get to Harlin as soon as we can."

Her heart was raising - the air inside the pocket was stirring, ripples were appearing around her that had nothing to do with her movements. "TEACHER HARLIN!" Marina, however, was still underwater, fighting against the current but doing nothing to try to get herself up to the surface. In her human form, she struggled, but in her terror, she only wasted energy and air. If no one helped her soon - or if she didn't teach herself how to swim - she would drown.
