Sakeme was sent out on another errand. Being in the village was becomming more than it was worth. Just because she had to live there during the duration of the chunin exam shouldn't have meant she had to clean up after some miner's mess. But she did it anyways... Go figure...

1d20: 5+18+6+11+11= 51

The boulders came tumbling down, and she was pretty much ready for them. She'd been practicing her speed, so she managed to get to the rolling rocks on time, plus her work in the caves allowed her to beat down the rocks to smaller chuncks of wearth without a lot of trouble.

1d20: 3+1+16+4+11= 35

La dee da, she jumped at blouders, stopped bopulders, broke boulders down, all for the sake of the twonspeaople who rarely breathed a word of thanks... Well, they might to the shinobi of their own village, but Sakeme didn't hear a thing. That was fine, she supposed... She figured she didn't really pay attention to other people anyways, so perhaps they could have said something while she was minding her business elsewhere?

1d20: 7+3+5+15+11= 41

Every once in a while Sakeme would get a break before having to take down another rollong stone. She didn't mind, though. Seeing as she was naturally lazy and didn't mind the rest every now and again. She was just glad to get some sort of work done. Atleats she was getting something out of the training too... well, this wasn' training but it did help.

1d20: 17+5+18+2+11= 53

Light on her feet, she left only small dents in the soft soil that the boulders left dark trails in. Doing good deeds like this was tiresome, but it made people feel good wjhile they were doing it, right? Or atleast when they were finished? Well, she wasn't finished yet, but she was getting a small sense of accomplishment as she worked. That was nice atleast.

Damn, I wish I had something better to do... Sakeme couldn't help but lift her hand above her eyes to keep the glare of the sun away. It didn't take too long for another boulder to get loose from other people working on ahead of her. Taking a quick second to wipe sweat from her brow, she jumped at her chance to break down the stone before it got close to her. There would be more on the way.

1d20: 8+17+8+12+11= 56

Biting he rlip out of habit, Sakeme paced abck and forth. Nothing was comming her way at the time, and that was all well and good, however... despite her dislike of doing a lot of work, she figured she was never going to be able to leave unless she'd done a significant amount. This meant she wasn't done... though she couold be close...

1d20: 20+11+4+8+11= 54

Muttering a curse quietly to herself, she was almost caught unprepared for the next comming of a giant rock in her direction. She had to be quick on her feet to manage taking down the stone, and luckily for her, she was that quick and that strong. She was tempted to allow herself to feel accomplished by reacting so quickly, but denied herself this pleasure by telling herself she should have reacted sooner... when it was comming, and not right in front of her.

1d20: 19+10+4+6+11= 50

Breathing a slight sigh, Sakeme moved backwards a bit. She felt like she was going to need to make a run for it when she deemed her efforts worthy of being enough. On her way down, however, she managed to clear out another boulder for the workers... that one would count as a reason she could leave soon.

1d20: 13+18+9+14+11= 65

Finisheing up anothe rboulder, or two, Sakeme made a break for it. She didn't want to stay any longer and if anyone asked, well, she was finished. As good as helping people was, she was just tired... maybe some other time... As she managed to get off the mountian, and small sense of accomplishment crept to her. Maybe I'll do this again soon... maybe...

This had happened so many times now that showing up to help had probably become like second nature to the people of the stone. Raisuke had just decided to try and help out the easiest way possible. He brought a normal workers shovel with him. He shoved it into the ground like a spike, digging one hole at a time spaced so many feet apart from the next one. He had it timed well enough that he didn't even need to double check anything or hurry.

Rai would just sit and watch as the rocks came down the mountain. Wondering how Iwagakure had survived so many years without being buried amongst the stones that threatened to cover it. Have all ninja always done what he was doing? That also made the question of why the village would have been built with mountains surrounding it.. Although his native village had been. But his native village had paid the ultimate price. He knew he would always protect his new home from suffering the same fate! He turned his back, knowing that the craters would catch any stones trying to pass. The mountains would fail, once again.

2)Ore Rush
Apparently, not all the veins of ore and precious metal in the mountains were completely drained. Someone found a strong supply in one of the old abandoned mines on (insert mountain name). Everyone’s getting in on the cash...why aren't you?

Rules: Using an axe pick provided by the mining society, the user must mine for items. The user rolls 2 20 sided dice. The first one is to see how much further the wall can be pushed till it breaks. The user will have to do multiple rolls (in separate posts) to add up to the DC for that wall. Each post can have as many rolls as attack turns that character has.
The second one is to see what item you gain. Different items give different payouts. The user must go through 5 walls before they can say they are done. You can do up to 10 walls. The DC is comprised of 1D20 + str mod + 5(for pick axe).

Gennin DC - 20 + 5 for each new wall
Chunnin DC - 30 + 5 for each new wall
Jounin DC - 70 + 10 for each new wall
ANBU DC - 80 + 10 for each new wall
Kage DC - 120 + 20 for each new wall

The payouts for the 2nd D20 are as follows:

Odd numbers you gain nothing
2, 4, 6, 8: you get high grade coal = 5 Ryo
10, 12, 14: you get silver ore = 10 Ryo
16, 18: you get gold ore = 25 Ryo
20: you get a rough diamond = 50 Ryo

Other: *When you complete one wall and move to the next, any points OVER the DC for the last wall carry over.
*If you roll a 1 at ANY time on a wall, the wall 'collapses' and you must start again on another wall at that same DC but with no points accumulated.
*If you collapse 3 walls, you fail the event and get nothing.

Restrictions: No weapons, tools, Ninjutsu or Genjutsu

Special: *If the user forgoes using the pick axe and decides to use taijutsu instead, they must take a damage equal to str mod however, all rewards for this activity are increased by 1.5 times rounded up.
*If you run out of HP through this method, you fail the event and get nothing but you may try again but you have to start from scratch.
*You are allowed only 1 Rest post per 3 working posts.

He had gotten word about the mining capabilities that the mountains held. And frankly he could use a little bit of extra money to get new weapons or atleast to get them repaired. They were kind of run down and over used. Well.. they were before he even got them. He had left them at home for now though, he just had an old pickaxe strapped to his back. He would waste no time when he got to his location, wanting to get it done as early as he could. As he swung though.. the head of the axe was heavy so he figured the weight would do most of the work.. boy was he wrong. He barely dented the wall. So he would pull back and do it again, regrettably finding nothing.

It was kind of frustrating not finding anything. But he was just starting. He would try to go further into the wall, bringing the pickaxe back again for another go. He struck the wall having some rock flake off that had a small chunk of something in it. He knelt down and picked up that piece, putting it in his bag. Next he would just use the bottom of the handle to knock against some of the loose rocks, knocking another chunk out just so that he could pick out another distinguishable piece.

Rai must have hit the wall a little too hard, because small pebbles and rocks started to flake off of the wall. Rai thankfully got cautions enough to leap back, sliding on the small pebbles it had the cool skidding across the ground effect. But regrettably he was sliding to far, too fast. He slid back far enough that the pickaxe that he had resting upon his shoulder stuck into the wall that was behind him.

Raisuke gave out a somewhat irritated sigh, seeing as how he clumsily stuck the back of his pickaxe in the other wall. If there were anyone with him that wasn't paying attention he could have easily killed one of his own friends. He would then turn and try to pull it.. be it wasn't coming out easily. So he lifted up on the bottom of the handle with one hand, jerking down from the top for a little leverage. The made some of the wall crumble out. Rai noticing another piece of black mineral roll across the ground and hit his shoe. He knelt down and picked it up, pocketing it like the other before. He would then turn to what seemed to be an undamaged piece of wall. He gave it a full swing, hoping for something good.

Raisuke noticed the same effect as before.. was he just doing something wrong? Everytime his pick axe just got stuck. Though it was different because he could pull it out this time. He reared back and struck it again. This time it just seemed to rip a chunk of the wall out. He knelt down and brought the bottom of the handle down ontop of the chunk, breaking it apart. Picking up the piece of coal he decided he was done. He turned and left.

Shadow grinned as he lined up at the running part of the race. This time he was going to compete in the running section, and most likely in the chakra section. There were other runners doing stretches and drinking water all around him and he grinned as he also took a running position, this race was going to be a breeze for him, it usually was after all. He wondered about what it would be like to take up the life of a messenger, running from place to place. In a way it was a dream to move around at high speeds, to feel the world going past you, the wind through your hair. Everything about it was just lovely. As the gun to mark the beginning of the race fired, he took off at light speeds running past all of the others in this rank category. He looked out onto the sun and smiled happily as he thought of his dreams of learning to move at an incredible velocity. In a moment he was across the finish line, and he smiled looking up into the sky. It was over to soon.

Shadow once again smiled haughtily as he got to the chakra part of the race. Admittedly he wasn't as good with chakra as he was with running, however he still had a feeling he would be able to ace this part of the race no problem. The fox snickered in the back of his head, simply saying Worried kid? I told you if you ignored tuning your chakra it would come back to bite you in the a** Shadow grinned happily to hear his comrade speak, though he kept up his quick pace. He knew he tended to steer off course when it came to activities that he didn't like, but that didn't matter. He was still able bodied in chakra and he was about to prove it. He jumped onto a wall and started running with a determined look in his eye. He jumped over some rocks and did a cartwheel jump onto the next wall with as much grace as a cat. And even with these jumps he managed to keep up a forward momentum.
