Lonely Prophet

[[ ah. xD; Well no one DID ask... I had to keep it going~ lol ]]

Crimson listened with interest to these tales. She had never really met anyone that's been to so many places. "Well it's very nice to meet you Silad Parrish," she nodded and smiled kindly.
She looked over at Orcus when he pointed out the destroyed city. Looking a bit upset, she sighed, "Oh. Well... That was a bit of a wasted trip."
She watched the city burn for a few moments then echoed Silas' question.
"What should we do now?"

Orcus looked at them as if they were clinically insane. "Sometimes I wonder." Orcus paused for a moment. "And then I stop wondering because I remember that none of you are dark elves." He smiled politely and tilted his head. "We go down and investigate. We'll also kill off anything that is still alive. I didn't come all the way down here to not watch demon heads fly through the air." Orcus hid his drill and telescope into his sleeves and pulled his Halberd out from under his robe. He strolled down towards the village and hummed a pleasing tune.

"But of course. It's no fun killing things that aren't still alive, now is it?" Silas said, waving his hand dismissively. "Sounds boring, though. Maraudering's no fun, and it's quite the dirty job." Nevertheless, he summoned the sword of the legendary hero, Der Reisende, and held it ready.

Orcus looked back at Silas' sword. "Oh, and what is that precious thing made of? Copper? Brass? Wood?" Orcus laughed to himself. Those failed materials were never any good for war. "I hope it lasts you 'till the end of the walk." Orcus now joked about summoned objects. His sense of humor was always more kean towards jokes of warfair and it's tools.

Silas gave a slight glare at the young one's condescension.
"Actually...it's a metal known on Der Reisende's world as Lauderite. As lustrous as silver, as light as aluminum, and as strong as iron. But the metal also possesses magical properties. It can store mystical energy, to be released at any time, and it is also a conductor for demonic power. I can drain any devil dry, with but a p***k of the sword's tip. Don't underestimate this weapon...especially in my hands. It is one of a kind."
As a demonstration, Silas plunged it into the earth, and the shiny metal turned dark and gray as the soil beneath the forests, as it drew in and stored power from the Earth itself. A thick crust formed around the metal as tendrils of soil climbed up the length of the blade. Silas removed it from the ground abruptly, and the dirt was blasted off of the blade, as by an unseen wind.

Orcus jumped down onto the ground from the ridge. He looked around and said halfheartedly, "That's cool." He paid no mind to the babbling of the naive little boy that stood behind him. "It seems no one is here. Everything is deserted, empty, lifeless." Orcus planted the butt end of his Halberd into the ground and pulled his special dagger out from under his his robe. Orcus threw it at the wooden beam that held up a house from the outside and it turned into pure dust and ash. He walked over, picked up his dagger and put it back inside his robe. "Completely devoid of life. More than just weak fire magic: It's complete death magic, all around us, every inch." Orcus smiled.

((Dude...are you gonna bust my balls with every post you make? Also, my character is centuries old, with several lifetimes of experience. Not a naive little boy! Anyways...IRL, I'm older than you are. a**.))

((Yes, that's my character. You'll have to excuse him, he's like that. Don't mistake my character for me though, we aren't too much alike.))

((Yeah, well...you're writing for him. And I was under the impression that this particular RP wasn't serious in nature.))
PostPosted: Sun Jun 20, 2010 10:33 pm

((It's not. Most of the role plays here aren't but I like to treat each one as if they were serious. Ya know, me and Strider used to have these fights. I wonder where he went... I can't leave that guy alone without him getting lost.))

((Well, I'm normally a pretty serious RPer...so I thought this'd be a good chance to be a little silly. I dunno know 'bout Strider, though. He keeps quitting our RP's, but then he demands that we let him come back as soon as we commandeer his characters. Ugh, it's so confusing! I don't know if he's gone for good, so I'm hesitant to do stuff with his characters.))

((Eh, you gotta learn to like ol' Stridy. He's a cool guy though. In any case, I'm one of the few that take my role plays seriously as Strider used to when he frequented the guild a little bit more. I guess we've just grow out of the subforum role plays... Whatever.))

((Well, it is fun to roleplay with him. But he gets a little attached to his characters. The two of us salvaged Arashi's dead RP at least twice, because he's no good at writing storylines. So Strider and I just made a few up, right on the spot one day. Here's hoping he comes back in time for us to end it the same way we began it.))
PostPosted: Sun Jun 20, 2010 11:06 pm

((Aye, here's to that. I'll probably just keep fighting with him when he gets back though. Always been more fun that way.))

((I'm thinking of starting an RP guild of my own...one much like this one. I actually had the idea before Arashi did...but he's got more gold than I. Ah, well. As long as I keep posting, I may have enough, tonight. ))
