Rebecca smiled, then waited for someone to answer the phone. It took a few rings, but that was expected. Caller ID was always used before anyone answered the phone.
The other end clacked and buzzed to life, and a little girl's voice began speaking before the phone was even to her mouth. Rebecca smiled a little to herself.
"Hi! I- ... yes, I know I didn't call, I- ... no it was a very long night and- .... eheh... well I wish I could say your uncle was wrong about that o-" she said, then leaned her head away from her cell phone as the voice shouted something.
"No it wasn't anything like tha- .... no I wasn't- .... you tell your cousin to go play with his Hot Wheels or something." Not what she WANTED to tell him to go do... but that would be hard to explain to the kid.
"Yes, okay... I had company last night and I forgot all about ca-" she began, then paused to listen to the little girl. And her face turned a few shades of white.
"The Circus? No! No, no, no... sweetie I didn't forget about it, I- .... yes I know I had to work every day that it was going. .... Yes, I know I promised to take you today since I have the.... had the late night shift." she said. Then smiled and listened again.
"It just so happens... I have quite a few nights off now. I'll tell you all about it later. I just- .... yes. Yes I'm still going to take you to the Circus before they leave the city. ... Yes. .... Yes. .... I'll be down in a few hours. .... I love you too. .... Bye." she said, then gently hung up the phone.
...and then promptly sank into the closest chair.
Damn she completely forgot about that being today...

Julianne returned just in time to see Rebecca slump down; she'd obviously gotten a hold of a master key. She walked up to her, concern on her face, asking, "Are you alright? What's wrong?" She knelt just beside Rebecca's chair and looked at her, feeling no small amount of worry.

Rebecca looked over to Julianne, giving her a small smile to let her know that it wasn't anything serious. "Nothing major. I utterly forgot what today was and that plans had been made." she replied. "The circus is in the city, and the kids have begged to go down. I'm the only one who's really free to take them, and I had to work every night that the kids could have gone down. I was supposed to have the late, late night shift tonight, so I was free all day to take them down." she said, then grinned and looked out towards the balcony.
"I live on the opposite end of town. The kids are back this way and down several streets. The circus is on the outskirts of the city. Then two more cabs to take them back home and then me back here. That's pretty much all the money I have on me right now. I have maybe one outfit at home that's clean and casual enough to walk around a circus in." she said, then looked back to Julianne and grinned. "You're kind of expected to wear a dress when leaving the Lounge. No employees walking out in sweat pants and a tee shirt or anything like that." she said, then motioned towards the heels and red cocktail dress that was lying out on the balcony.
"It's not a bit deal. I just... heh. Forgot. Completely. Which makes my day busier than I had planned for the day. It'll take an hour and a half just to get things together to pick the kids up."

"True. Or..." Julianne said, smiling, "I could drive. My car can take an extra fifteen minutes off the trip. Also, I think I have some clothes here you could wear. I might have a bit of a shapelier body, but I think some of my tighter-fitting shirts would work very nicely as regular shirts for you."
Standing up, she added, "Come on, up you get. Everyone knows that kids are terrible at waiting!"

Rebecca blinked and looked at her a moment, then smiled and stood up. "Are... you're sure it's alright?" she asked. "I don't mean to cause you any trouble or take time out of your day."

"You DO realize that Mr. Savage is the number one customer in this hotel, right?" Julianne said with a mischievous grin. "Management doesn't have to like it. They DO have to accept it, if they wish to keep him. After all, Mr. Savage DID say to treat anything you need or want as if it was coming from him."
She walked towards the door and opened it, holding it for Rebecca. "After you, Ms. Rebecca."

Rebecca thought for a minute, then grinned herself. "I'll admit... I'm not used to such treatment. I am... far more used to being in their shoes about serving someone." she said, then walked out the door. "It is a hassle... I'll try not to make them too upset by abusing such a privilege." she said, grinning back at Julianne. "Does that mean... if we say that we need your assistance for a few hours, you'll need to do whatever we need you to do and you'll still be on the clock for it?"

"You're kidding, right?" Julianne asked, sounding mock-insulted, "When Mr. Savage is checked in, I'm ALWAYS on the clock. They needed to create a whole extra expense section for when he's here, taking into account both him, and my exorbitant paychecks." Julianne closed the door, and wrapped her arm around Rebecca's waist, not in any kind of lust, but more as a friend.
She began leading her to a side hall labelled 'Employees Only', saying, "Stay close, so that I can easily stop people from challenging you being here."

"Good to know." Rebecca replied. "If Vandal needs to run to take care of business like this often, I'd enjoy having someone to at least talk to. But, I'd hate to cut away from your work." she said, following Julianne through the hall.

"You don't understand," Julianne said, "When he's here, he IS my work. A lot of the extra money he's paying the hotel is to reserve me for his exclusive use when he's here."
She continued to lead Rebecca, until he broke away from her and unlocked a door. "Here we are." The door opened, revealing a room that was decorated both tastefully, and somewhat eclectically. There was a queen sized bed, and a dresser that had some rather interesting items on it. A small jewelry cabinet, a little teddy bear, some tickets from music shows stuck into the mirror's frame. "My home away from home."

Ah. THAT kind of shift then. Rebecca had never needed to do anything like that, but she knew of a few girls at the Lounge who were paid to take care of a customer for the entire time they were there.
When they entered Juliann's little room, Rebecca smiled. "It's quite nice." she replied, looking around. "Much better than my little place. I never have time to keep it cleaned or chase the mice out."

"If you're to be with Mr. Savage, I doubt you'll have that issue for much longer," Rebecca replied, moving towards the dresser. "Let's see what we've got for you..."
Opening a few drawers, Julianne looked and found some jeans that looked like they'd be skin-tight on herself, and a pink baby-doll-style t-shirt that read, 'Pink is the new black.' "I've also probably got a few work-out bras that'll fit you alright. Underwear might be an issue, though."

Rebecca smiled back at her. "Well... I'm not a fan of going comando. I'll change into what I was wearing last night when we get back up to the room." she replied, then held the jeans up to her waist. They looked like they'd fit....
"They're cute... you have good taste in clothes." she said, looking back up at her.

Julianne grabbed one of the aforementioned work-out bras and tossed it to Rebecca. "Yeah, kinda shoulda thought about that before we left, huh?" she replied, grinning.
She began stripping down to her own underwear; black, lacey little things, made of translucent fabric. Before she began looking for clothes for herself, she hung up the uniform neatly and put it in her small closet.

Rebecca watched her for a moment, a light blush returning to her face. She looked down at the clothes in her hand, then down at her robe. With a small sigh, she sat the pile of clothes down on the nearest bit of furniture.
Well... suppose if she really did want to make Vandal happy from time to time... now was the perfect time to get over her shyness of nudity.
With that, she untightened the bit of cloth from around her waist and let the robe slip down onto the floor. Leaving her once again in her lightly tanned glory.
