Ade took a breath, wanting to be as gentle as possible with this topic. "I would like it, when we move into the house, for you to sleep with me...in the ground. There will be no others at our house to watch over you while I am asleep, and I cannot risk leaving you unprotected for that long. It would be much safer for you if were to go through with the conversion if not right at that time, then near or soon after we move."

"That's fine, as long as you are mortal. Though when you convert, you will no longer be rejunenated from that type of sleep. You will need the healing earth. Sleepinig the sleep of mortals will kill you."

Ade took a deep breath. He was starting to lose his temper. "It is different than what you are used to. And I can make it so that you will never know you sleep in the earth of the day. I can put you to sleep in a bed, and then float you down to the open earth with me. Then on the rising, put you back in a bed and wake you up. You would never know if I did not tell you."

Ade moved behind her again and rubbed her shoulders. "I'm sorry that I upset you, Sivamet. I would stay with you every day, but I cannot do so and keep up enough strength to protect and your family should the need arise."
