Ciara stood. She had to save Aleski! She ran towards the camp.

Aleksi watched the man return to his tome. Aleksi placed a hand on the window, and slid down it in despair.

Ciara ran into the camp the way she had come in before and tried to trace the link to find Aleski.

Aleksi would have cried if he could, but instead, the void he was in shifted to a dark blue color with his mood.

Ciara ran through the camp, her black dress making her hard to spot. Even so, she wasn't taking any care about not being caught. She sprinted through rows of tents and huts, searching for Aleski, though she was really only getting lost.

Aleksi reestablished mental connection with Ciara. "No!" he cried as he realized her paril. He gazed down at his hands and began pounding the seal placed on him.

Ciara tried to contact Aleski again. "Where are you?" she asked mentally.

"Ciara! Hide! before you're killed!" Aleksi yelled at her concerned. He coninued to attempt to break the seal.

Ciara was able to trace the link somewhat, but she just ended up in a section of the camp with several nice-looking tents. She couldn't trace the link with any more accuracy than that. Then she heard Aleski's advice and looked around for somewhere to hide, though she seemed to be stuck. She figured there would be many more guards around here, since the living spaces looked nicer.

Aleksi hit harder and harder until a cracking sound was heard. A bright light filled the void, and Aleksi crawled through it. With a flash of light, Aleksi turned human again. He tore out the tent to find Ciara. He yelled out to her, forgetting the consequences.

Ciara turned and saw Aleski in front of her. "Thank goodness you're safe! But how did you break the seal?" she asked.

Aleksi tackled Ciara, once he reached her. An crossbow bolt whizzed past them. "Sheer force." Aleksi responded quickly. He picked her up, then darted behind a tent as more fire passed them.

"Well, it doesn't look like we can run now," Ciara said. It seemed like they were being surrounded.

"We'll just have to try." Aleksi said seriously. He stood and pulled Ciara up with him. He grabbed her hand and ran into a nearby tent. It was empty, and he pressed an ear to the side to listen. People were searching for them, and it was only a matter of time before they looked inside.

Ciara's hand flew to her throat once they were inside. She pulled a tiny pouch on a leather string from under the collar of her dress. She pulled out one card, folded it neatly, put it in the tiny bag, and slipped the bag under the collar again. "My brother's card," she said by way of explanation.
