  Kaos shrugged, "I have no clue..." he sent out a psychic probe to inspect the object, then shuttered, "It doesn't appear to be a threat, but it sure has a lot of energy bottled up in it... I would approach with caution, and don't go alone until you know it's safe."

"Well, how about I ease your mind a bit, and not go over there at all. There is too much at stake this visit to be letting curiosity run over caution." Yuma tugged to a different direction away from the box; "We can just avoid all temptation going this way."

  Kaos smiled, "alright, we won't go over there." he snuggled close to her and asked, "so how long do you want to stay in the abyss... obviously you want to go see the pond before you go, but i could be packed and ready by nightfall." he looked over at the forest and sighed, "I know i'm not helping staying here..."

"I doubt running out by nightfall is going to help either, look your just going to have to talk to her, and putting it off won't make it any easier. I would like to see the pond Kaos, but it will still be here when I get to the Abyss. There is no rush on it, just wishes, but right now I'm concerned about you. You need to explain things to Akuma before we leave, and if it takes you a few days it takes you a few days. I'd love to get things between her and I squared around, but your situation takes the lead before we go." Yuma looked in the direction of the island; "We have a bit of a walk back, rehearse what you want to tell her, and hopefully she is in a mood to talk when we touch grass again."

  "So i take it you want to head back now?" he asked as his thumb rubbed over her hand, "I'll get akuma to come around eventually, but right now she's just mad. there's not even a real reason to it..." he closed his eyes and sighed, "Her mother got like this too, It's in her blood. I just hope she isn't as bad as her mother..." kaos shuttered remembering how bad her mother used to get. the scars he would get on his arm from her rage.

"I'm in no rush, and cetainly helping whomever in the tower, and packing bags is not the only loose ends you have here. Have you even asked anyone to look after your house while your gone, tend to your garden, or followed up that your patient is taking her medicine as laid out in your instructions?" yuma squeezed his hand slightly; "Its not all about what i want to do or when i want to do things, and your entitled to take as much time as you need to put the things in order that you like them in. So just tell me you want to stay a few more days and i'm fine with that, or if you want to go now having completed everything just say i'm ready to go when you are." Yuma smiled; "So are you absolutely ready to go yourself once you get packed?"

  Kaos began laughing; low at first, but it soon grew to a pretty hysteric laugh, "That-That's the first time... Someone's told me that... Take time for myself...heh." he began to calm down, but he was still chuckling, "Yuma, If I had the time to do everything i wanted to do i'd end up like i was in my first live... A busy body that still had no time for anything but Teaching... or healing. That's all i was; that's all i could do." he kissed her forehead and sighed, "I'll stick around for a few days... But to answer your questions... no, I have not asked anyone to tend my gardens or watch my house, because they are my responsibility. why should someone else have to watch them? and i usually do check up on my patience, but i assumed my daughter would be chased around by her new husband, and i could keep up with everything else i needed to do."

"There you go, you see it wasn't all that hard, a few days it is, and true Lucid will keep Akuma well on track to recovery." Yuma smiled at the kiss; "You know, i think we need to have a party somewhere."

"A party?" Kaos asked as he scratched his chin, "We have a reception for Lucid and Akuma coming, as well as two baby showers... What do we need another party for?" he held Yuma close and brushed her bangs aside to kiss her forehead, "You think of a guest list and why we need a party and i'll fix you one, alright?" he walked Yuma to the edge of the island and separated from her to go talk to his daughter, Akuma.
~~~~~~~~
Akuma walked downstairs to find Tsume fixing her a cup of tea and mixing her medicine. She sat at the table and waited for her tea.
Tsume saw that lord Kaos was walking to the house and left the tea. He gathered her medicine and walked up to her room to go set them up. On his way up the stairs he noticed Lucid coming down and smiled, "I wouldn't go down there now... Let's go set up her medicine in her room."
Kaos came inside to see Akuma drinking her tea. He took her medicine and added a couple drops to the tea, "Tsume missed two drops."
She glared at her father and mixed the tea, "What do you want?"
"Three things," he smiled, "But let's take it one at a time, Alright."
She stared at him, displeased, but nodded, "What is it."
"I want to know why you're so upset with me."
She shook her head and set the tea down, "Really? Really! Where were you... you're never helping me train. You didn't help me when Lucid died, and you fell in love with someone i hate! why the hell wouldn't i be upset with you!"
"Sweetheart! Chrono has mere months to train you with a weapon that took him years to master! I can't just wisk you away and train you. He needs to prepare you as much as he can before he leaves, and i can't just take you away. I have an eturnity to train you with everything i know, Chrono has months..." his shoulders slumped and he closed his eyes, "If you wanted to spend time with me... All you needed to do was come up and ask me. All i do is reread books, garden, cook, clean, sleep, and meditate. I'm not very busy! As for your wedding... I did what i could. I couldn't fight your reaction, and i couldn't bring him back. From what i could see, All i could do was contain your fury to the best of my abilities... So that's what i did. i threw my existance into that barrier and held on to all i could, praying that something was left of me when your rage was done."
Akuma was holding back her tears, and she took a sip of her tea to hide her face from her father.
"Sweetheart, you're the light of my life. you're my first child, and i fought for you before you were born. Your mother was a very vicious woman, and when she was pregnant she was at her worst. I still have visible scars from that woman's fury, But despite her rage, i held on. I held on to the fact that my baby girl was in her and i needed to be there for when she was born. For nine months i stayed passive; allowing myself to be a wall for her to beat." he brushed her hair and knelt down at her feet, "But it was worth it, because after that nine months came you, and you became my light in the darkest part of my life. you were my hope, Akuma, and i love you with all my heart."
Akuma began crying and fell into her father's arms.
He held her close, enjoying the embrace, "So, are you done being mad at me?"
She nodded, "What's your second request..." she sobbed as she wiped her tears on his shirt.
He picked her up and walked out to the couch, "Alright, as you know, You and Yuma are pregnant, and pregnancy is one of the hardest parts of a womans life. you two are probably no more than a few weeks apart and you will more than likely go into labor within the same week, so maybe you two can help eachother..."
Akuma stared up at her father with hallowed eyes.
"Now sweetheart," he sighed as he brushed a finger over her cheek, "If she knew we were going to fall in love... do you really think she would have done some of the things she did? She wants to amend for the past. she wants to get along with you. All i want is for you to give her a chance. Go into town with her sometime, and go out for lunch, or maybe a shopping day. I'll even foot the bill. Just spend some time with her."
"You really love her don't you?"
"Shes the first woman i got to choose to love."
Akuma stared at him in disbelief, "Really?"
He nodded and smiled, "That can be for another day... Will you give her a chance?"
She sighed and nodded, "I'll do my best... What's your final request?"
Kaos closed his eyes and took a deep breath, "Well, this one has two parts to it..."
"Really?" she smiled, "So it's more like four requests..."
"Yes, but one you can't really control, because it's going to happen whether you like it or not..."
"Oh really now?"
"Yes, I'm asking for your understanding. I am going to marry Yuma... That's why i want you two to get along, because it's going to happen and you can't stop it. you can either accept it or not."
She frowned, "So that's why you made request two."
"Yes, but part two you can change but i'll tell you the rules Chrono layed out and you can decide whether you agree or not."
She nodded, "I'm listening."
He smiled, "Well, when the dead and the living mix and like in my situation i got Yuma pregnant... Chrono said that the one who is dead must return to the living for the nine months the woman is to carry the child, as well as two years after the child or children are born. Basically i would have to return to the realm of the living for two years and nine months."
Akuma crossed her arms and glared.
"This would give you time to get your training done, and it's not like you can't visit, or call me back to the Abyss for anything... It just means that i have to spend a majority of the next two years and nine months with Yuma. I also intend on spending a good percentage with Ailes, and getting to know her fiancee, Toole."
"They're engaged?" Akuma asked, In slight shock that she didn't notice.
"Yes, they are."
"Alright, so you want to go there for two years and nine months..."
"Yes, but on weekends i want to come check up on you and see how you're coming along."
She smiled, "Aww, how sweet of you."
He laughed and shrugged, "That's what father's are for."
"Alright, but i got some catches for you."
He nodded to indicate that he was listening.
"I know you were a very popular person in your day, and you still are... so you must stay at her house unless she needs you to get something for her. when you leave the house... no one will remember you as Kaos Kessaku... Instead, when you introduce yourself it will be as though they had never even heard of you before. and they won't be able to make the connection between you now and the past you."
"Very well."
"However, her family will know who you are, because i don't see any reason why i should make them forget. Fair?"
"Fair."
"Good then..." She stood from her father's lap and offered a hand to him, "your three requests are fufilled, and i will work on the second and third part A, alright..."
"Starting now?"
"Starting now."
He hugged her and spun her around, "Good here's yoru change, go schedual a day with her, alright?"
She frowned at how sudden request two went into affect, but she agreed to it, so she straightened up and approached Yuma outside by the garden, "Sorrow, My father and i have been talking with my father, and we have come to an agreement that i have to take an afternoon of my time to..."Bond" with you, and try to amend our past. So, when are you free...?"
Yuma turned around to look Akuma straight in the eyes; "My occupation requires combat, but since word has leaked to my queen I find myself with plenty of time on my hands. Since its your time, you pick, because I didn't come here to cause problems. I came so Kaos would be relaxed and focused on the things he left mid step through to come care for me."
"Works for me, but we need a gate to the human realm. Earth, that is what they called it, because if were going to mend the past might as well go where it started and work our way back. That and I'm craving a dish they serve there that Roo is unable to duplicate yet."
  Akuma growled, "One, It's against the rules of the Abyss to go there... Two, what was it... Chances are i can make it." she walked to the gates, "we can only go to Enthelda, Aquious, Arynia, Rodasia, or Draeutia." Akuma faced Sorrow and asked, "Hell, why don't you just ask Dad... he has a bunch of human cook books... he got them from Lust."
Akuma stared at her dumbfounded and then began giggling, "Why, She's human! How else?! I know, I know it's hard to imagine, But Chrono is married to a human." She shuffled into Kaos's house and walked over to her father who was doing the dishes.
He smiled, "You should finish your tea sweetheart. it's the only way you're going to get better."
Akuma nodded and sat at the table and began drinking her tea, "Your lover want's you to make her a human dish..."
Kaos looked up and saw Yuma in the window, "Really? huh, alright..." he unlocked the window and swung it open, "So what dish should i fix you, love?"
