Kasen and Kyo's blades and hands were bound together by the kido, however each one still had a free hand. He took his fist and brought it back and punched at his face. "Think of a way to break free, or lose yourself..." Kasen said in a tone with a hint of seriousness in it.

Kyo dodged the punch to the face, "Hado #4: Byakurai!" he yelled as lightning burst from his free hand towards Kasens hand that held the kido in place.

Kasen switched blade in hands and brought his zanpakuto's blade up to block the lightning, however he dispersed the kido and slid back and looked at Kyo. "I'll ask you once, do you want to be treated seriously, and do you want to see why I am the 3rd seat of this squad?" Kasen said as he sheathed his zanpakuto and looked at Kyo. He held his palm out and gathered reiatsu into his hand, however what it will create would remain a mystery until the question was answered. "The choice is yours, are you ready for my true powers, or shall we just continue on with the basics of both our knowledge and powers?" Kasen asked as the reiatsu was continuing to be built up and become dangerous if in enormous amounts.

Kyo stared at Kasen as he thought about the question. he's obviously serious about this. the odds are against me if he reveals his true power, but when have i ever cared about the odds? Kyo nodded slowly, "yes i do want to be taken seriously in this squad. Show me why you are the 3rd Seat of this Squat Kasen!" he said as he sheathed his zanpakuto.

Kasen grinned as he unsheathed his blade with his right hand and placed his left hand on the side of the sword's blade and pulled back a bit to create an arrow of flames, this was a deadly weapon in some cases as he revealed its appearance was 6 inches long and a piercing end that was pointing at the blade's tip. "Do you know what this arrow is called, it is called Kasen. Ironic isn't it, that my name is Flaming arrow, which would become one of my greatest techniques." Kasen said looking at the arrow and held his blade back and swung it forward releasing the arrow in a swift swing releasing the arrow at Kyo. "I'm giving you a quick warning, pierce, slice, no matter what, this arrow you do not want to touch." Kasen said with a grin at his arrow.

Kyo saw the arrow coming towards him and heard Kasen's warning and jumped out of its path. He could feel the heat of it as it passed by him. i guess he wasnt kidding, the reiatsu of that attack alone is amazing. Its no wonder he's the 3rd seat. he thought as he looked back at Kasen.

Kasen grinned as the arrow fell behind Kyo and released its devastating power behind him. The arrow's layer of reiatsu keeping the flaming reiatsu in check disappeared and released the flames as a bursting explosion of flames that was the opposite of Kasen's calm personality, for it was bursting, explosive, and highly deadly.

Kyo felt the explosion of reiatsu behind him and turned to see what it was as the flames exploded towards him, trying to engulf and destroy him. thats not good he thought as he tried to think of what he could do to deflect the flames. "Seki." a round shield appeared in front of him. he hoped it would be enough to deflect the flames.

The flames went around Kyo bent on devouring him, but wouldn't harm him to a certain degree as they came closer and closer. "A small shield won't help much.." Kasen thought as he looked on hoping slightly Kyo would survive this attack.

Kyo could feel the flames surround him, he was barely holding onto the shield of kido, and he wasnt sure if it was even helping as the flames engulfed him. His shield shattered at the force of the fire's reiatsu, leaving him defenseless to be consumed by the flames. "H-H-Hado...." he tried to focus to finish the incantation but the searing pain of the fire along with the heat was too much for him to be able to think let alone talk. he fell to his knees as the flames continued to burn all around him. is everything on fire? or is it just me? it seems as if the whole world is burning, except for him. he thought as he could just barely see Kasen through the flames watching him.

"The fires consume to reflect light, yet it also represents the flaming anger and burning devastation of the world, yet it stays in my possession a weapon of light." Kasen said as he raised his reiatsu to disperse the flames and he was left standing there looking at Kyo. "Are your limits pushed, or have you not seen the end yet?" Kasen asked in a serious tone while looking at the person. "Very few can handle it, and to be third seat, you must be able to handle most things, maybe a captain even..." Kasen said as he continued to watch the flames disperse and hopefully find a Kyo still alive.

Kyo could feel the flames start to let up, the heat and pain diminishing. As the final flames vanished he looked at Kasen and struggled to stand. he fell a few times before he was able to get to his feet. his body screamed in protest but he didnt care. i'm not done yet, i cant be done yet. he thought as he drew his zanpakuto and held it with shaking hands. He stared at Kasen with an emotionless expression.

"This determination..." Kasen muttered as it was truly familiar, the determination to prove one's self. Kasen raised his blade and pointed it at Kyo. "Burns, slash marks, you're going to die if you think you can handle me!" Kasen shouted at Kyo as he ran at Kyo and swung low at his waist area.

Kyo was barely able to block Kasen's attack. "Hado #4 Byakurai!" he yelled as lightning shot out towards Kasen's stomach.

Kasen took the attack head on and felt the kido go through his stomach, but he jumped and slashed at Kyo's head. Kasen grinned still as he was slashing.
