Downstairs, Marie found the light and her paper but her feelings had elevated into anger. She stormed up the stairs seeing Sergey at stage left. And Sam had been basically thrown away. “Sergey!” She shouted walking slowly and sure footed across the stage, holding him under her spell and going to the piano. She played a simpler and old tune. “Vosotros no recuedias…” [Trans: You guys will not remember.] she sang to the both of them and then continued playing and spoke. “I cannot change feelings. You will leave here Sergey, still hating Sam, but neither of you will remember this fight and all the events that have taken place the half hour, here, in the auditorium. Including here my voice. You will remain under this spell under you are planted in desk in your fifth period class. All you will remember that has taken place is that they served spaghetti for lunch and it was delicious.

“VA!” [Trans: Go!]

She sat the piano continuing her connection and to watch them leave.

Alwyn sighed and nodded her head. She would do what she was told least she become sick again and embarrass herself again. She had been a problem for alot of people on her first day hadnt she.

It had been a weird first day of classes for Lite, he'd made little to no effort on making friends other than his old friends besides Candice who was nice enough to meet. Sitting around in the cafeteria, and having finished all of his lunch and then some, he looked around just watching the zoo of a building. Some rowdy kids who are rather loud, and then the bookworms either sitting with fellow book readers or by themselves. The new freshmen seemed piled up in a corner, trying to learn and memorize everything about the entire academy. Old friends had reunited, and Lite even swore he saw a couple making out behind a small crowd. Lite himself didn't look for his friends, or to make new friends on this seemingly forever second day. He looked down at his best new friend. And quietly told the gecko as if telling him a story, "Bear my good friend, this place is paradise. Gorgeous women with attitudes and powers that could kick my a**, cool guys with as many stories as I have to tell, new kids on the block looking for ghost stories, and those silly people who think they're better than the rest of us. Oh, don't forget the bullies who are just trying to force their way into our hearts! Remind me later to find you a girlfriend. But don't be too rash, I wont stand for having little geckos running around the dorm now that it's completely ours." Lite had gone back to the dorm to change after his little surfing exposition to find that his roommates stuff had been completely moved, so he took over both beds, returning the windows to his neighbors room and made a complimentary abode for Bear.

"Perhaps this year will be the year for both of us, eh? What good is a man without a woman to set him straight? No matter, time will come, it always does. Just have to wait it out." Lite accentuated the word 'wait' while he talked to Bear. He loved this word, as well as 'patience' and 'time'. It was something that everyone had the same amount of, but everyone looked at it differently. Whether there was never enough, too much, or unaware of it altogether. He drifted through his mind just thinking about how everyone had just the right amount of time for everything, and they should appreciate it. But what was he to do something about it if someone disagreed?

"Maybe we should just sit and watch some more before classes start again, right Bear? Yeah, just watch."

Late. Her mother was always late. Late late late late late. Late to her practices, late to her competitions, and now late taking her to her brand new school. And it wasn't just hours late, it was over a day late. Kazuko supposed she couldn't blame her mom for the car trouble they had while leaving her grandparents house, where they had been residing for the past few weeks. Or the traffic while in town. But then they had missed the last train of the day to the coastal port where Kazuko would have taken a boat to Pacis Salus. So they had to stay at a hotel in town. And because someone hadn't set an alarm, they both slept in.

Which was why it was now around noon when Kazuko finally made landfall at the island. In each hand were tightly packed duffel bags, which she (politely) refused to have carried to her room by some of the staff. Instead, she asked for directions to her dorm room, and set on her way.

There were many students about as Kazuko confidently strode across the campus. She didn't feel as out of place here as she did back home; many of the students also had physical mutations. She tried not to stare too much at them, as she didn't like it when people gawked at her either. But seeing them was a new and exciting experience.

"It must be passing time, or lunch time, to have so many people walking around," she thought to herself. Stopping for a moment, she paused to look at a map she was given, making sure she was heading in the right direction. It seemed the dorm was... yes, right over there. The furthest dome.

A few minutes later she arrived at her room. One side had already been occupied, not to Kazuko's surprise. She placed her bags on the unoccupied bed, and noticed her schedule sitting there. Picking it up, she reviewed her classes and the class time. Glancing at the nearest clock, it seemed that they were indeed in the middle of lunch.

"Well, I'll head to the cafeteria then. I can unpack later. No need to miss even more classes." Quickly she retrieved a smaller side-bag from one of the duffels, already pre-filled with notebooks and other school supplies. It had been a boring boat ride.

Shouldering the bag, she made sure she had the map and schedule handy, as well as her room key, and headed for the cafeteria. Once there, she got in line and picked out a sandwich of some kind, and an apple. Kazuko wasn't really paying much attention- there were a few too many choices for her taste. And noisy people.

She finished her selections and found a quieter spot in the cafeteria, a few tables away from a guy with a giant afro. She absently mused whether that had something to do with his power. Rapid hair growth, perhaps? She smiled lightly at that, and started to eat while studying the island map yet again.

Aki watched Candice get up and leave, seemingly oblivious to the fact that she was still sitting there. She sighed, getting up and thowing away what was left of her food. She trailed over to Matt, where Huilliam was close by with Candice. " 'Lo. Any clue when they want us to all cram into the painfully small auditorium again?" she asked.

Tess relaxed as Arkell didn't seem too mad at him. He frowned a little at her rambling and sigh, though, but returned the smile when she looked to him. "PE? Oh, CRAP!" He vaguely recalled hearing her name being called for attendance, but he'd completely spaced on at least saying hi. On top of that, he'd been close to ditching her outright during lunch.

"I'm really sorry, Arkell... I was distracted, and they were helping me get things set up..." his voice trailed off as he sat beside her, setting his tray down to get more comfortable. He finally just stretched out on his stomach beside her.

"No, I'm good on the juice thing. As for the auditorium thing I got no clues." He said, wolfing down his massive meal. He had moved on to fried chicken, drinking a lot of icy cold water with it.
"How're your classes going anyway? Also I had a thought. Our team seems best suited to using a trap mentality. Say if the rest of us set up and hide in a fight, then have Candice lure them into the middle of us.Then Aki freezes em onto an ice platform and have Matt lift them up in the air I can sucker punch any stragglers."

Sam stood up, dusted himself off, and exited the auditorium, heading directly to his fifth period class. The bell rang as he was nearing the academic building. He took the seat closest to the door, snapping out of his trance.

As the other students filed in, he raised a dull throbbing in his right arm. That's strange, he thought. I don't remember doing anything that made my arm sore. Maybe I'm just more tired than I thought. The young Empath raised a hand, saying, "Excuse me, sir."

The teacher nodded, signalling his recognition.

"I'm not feeling well. May I go down to the infirmary?"

"Go ahead."

Sam rose from his seat and left the building, heading not for the medical facility, but for his dormitory, where he collapsed on his bed and fell asleep.

"You do realize it'd probably have to be wet for me to be able to do that. Then again I've never tried to freeze anything to something..." Aki trailed off, shrugging. She never had a reason to, but she also hadn't had her powers as long as some. Despite most getting theirs at puberty, she hadn't realized hers until she was stuck in the blizzard about a year and a half ago. And she didn't like trying, making herself try more things with her power.

"All this we can work around. Besides, thats only if we have to work in a combat setting." He said, getting to his desert. A bowl of deep brown fudge ice cram. He ate surprisingly neat for a fast eater, never spilling any or getting any on his shirt. When he was done, he looked over at Aki, then looked away again. He still felt embarrased about earlier.

Candice smiled. "I don't like abusing my powers, not even when I really like a guy, I only want them to like me for who I am." Candice picked up the juice stabbing the straw in it. Candice watched Hulliame gobble his food down and was a little ill founded. What was the reason for is plan anyway, they didn't even have a name yet. "We don't even have a team name yet, I think Team Mach, it's the first letter of all of our names?" She smiled.

Aki watched him, hiding a faint smile. She had a feeling she'd only make it worse if she said much out loud, or went to him now with the other two right here. She looked to Candice, shrugging. "Or Unnamed... Mostly for comic value and laziness." she added with a faint smirk, looking to Huilliam. "Huilliam, Forget 'bout it. This morning. 'S not your fault I can be a clutz before I'm awake." she said after a moment, looking at him and adding the last line to keep the other two from asking too much about what happened. She paused a second, realizing he probably thought she still had a boyfriend back home. "And there's nothing back home for me. Last one was outta pity and to make him shut up and leave me alone." she said. "Since you asked earlier." she added, mostly for his sake and to throw off the other two.

Candice smiled at the two and started to laugh quietly. "are you two.Together?" She asked standing up. "How sweet, Hulliame is very special, and so is Aki." She added before putting her finger on her lips and smiling. "How about team Lazy than. and we'll be the hardest working team just for the pure irony!?" She said picking all the juice up that was spilling from her arms. "Hey, where's Matt?"

"Dont sweat it. Twerent nothing." He said, tapping his fingers on the table. "In future, I'll thank you not to mix business and pleasure" Huilliam said leaning back. "I dont recall asking that last bit. In any case, Team names pointless. We'll call ourselves Unnamed to throw people off what we can do." He stood up and picked up his roller blade bag. "I'll probably see y'all this afternoon. Gotta brush up on comedy and satire." He walked out of the hall, trying not to cause a scene, stopping out on the bottom of the steps to strap on his skates. He rolled around, gliding over the smooth concrete, jumping and weaving through obstacles and people.
