"Well, 'cause I do. I don't need a reason." he huffed, turning the stranger. He narrowed his eyes and stepped back, wary. Tall, dark, strange person...Ara had called those people 'rapists', whatever that was. He was sure it was bad. Well, whoever this guy was, he was bad news.
...and there the stupid girl went, right up to him. What an idiot! The guy was gonna kidnap her or something! Wondering if he should intervene, he decided against it and sat, watching.

Tadrith poofed himself out. "'Cause I was born with them. My mum had them, so I got 'em too." He grinned. "And it's nice meeting you too. Who's your friend?" He flopped onto the ground so he was more level with the pup, and so he could look at her without having to look down.

Swiveling around to look behind her, Mara scowled at Taxi before turning around to face Tadrith once more, only to find his face was now level with hers. "He's mean. I wouldn't talk to him, if I were you." She said, a very serious look crossing her face.
"My name's Mara. I'll tell you, 'cause you're nice. Unlike someone." Again, she turned around to scowl at Taxi. "What's yours?" The yellow-spotted head swiveled around again.

Tadrith grinned. "I'm Tadrith. Pleased to meet you, fair lady Mara." He winked at her. "Do you want to do something? If mister mean-o wants to play with us too, he can." He glanced at the watching Tala. Man, he looked like he hated the world. Sad, for a pup. He mentally shook his head. Ah, well. If the guy didnt want to play, he didnt want to play.

Ignored, he lay down, watching the odler Talaye with the horns. Horns...how did one get horns, exactly? Ara had horns. She told him she got them because she'd accidently 'merged with a cat-demon', or something like that. But cats didn't have horns. Was it a goat-demon? Maybe cat-demons had horns. Did that mean all demons had horns? Holy shnoot, was this guy a demon?! That'd be bad!
...not that he was gonna save her from the demon if it attacked her. Which the creature would, undoubtedly, do. 'Cause it was a rapist-demon. Yup. That's what it was.
"Hm? Wha? Play?" he said, snapped out of his reverie by the demon's voice. "Um..."
It would be less boring.
But he would be playing with a demon and an icky female.
But it would be less boring.
"Okay."

"You play?" Mara stared at Dri in disbelief. "But you're big! Big things don't play. They only want to sit around and talk and be boring." Her face scrunched up in disgust, as if the very thought was horrid.
At Taxi's reply, she sighed heavily. "I guess he can play." Getting to her paws, she turned around to face the checkered pup. "If we're going to play together, I need your name." She really didn't want him to play with him, but if she had to.

"I'm Taxi." he informed her curtly, pawing the ground. "If you make any jokes I'm gonna bite you." he growled, showing mild, budding white teeth, not dangerous at all. "And don't get any ideas, okay?" he put emphasis on the last syllable because this was, of course, terribly dramatic. "I'm not playing with you 'cause I want to, just 'cause I'm bored." he huffed, turning to Tadrith.
"Iunno what we should play. If I were at home I'd say car-chasing, 'cause that's super-fun, 'cept when you almost get squished, which is not-so-fun. I guess we could play Tag or Explorers or something."
He supposed it was a good time as any for a running game; at least here he couldn't knock anything down and get yelled at.

((I missed all fun RP:ing?! T____T Agh...))
Aravis walked beaming into the meadow, looking around with interest and curiosity. She had been here once before, but back then she was a new-born Talaye pup hiding inside a basket with a blanket covering it.
She was especially looking around for a special Tala her owner had called "Aelo". She had told her that he was very friendly and she might get along very well with him.
Andromeda followed every step she made. She was slighter afraid of her now when she was out of that scary basket, but even as she WAS calmer, she was still very bouncy and funny. Andromeda, who was a calm and motherly reindeer, had no idea how to befriend her at all.
Aravis caught sight of Tadrith, Taxi and Mara, and flied as elegantly (though still very clumsily) towards them. She landed rather funnily, though, and Andromeda uttered a muffled laugh. Aravis herself didn't mind her clumsiness, but beamed and said:
"Hello, all! Nice to meet you... I'm Aravis. Ara for short. May I join you?"
Andromeda pawed impatiently the ground, snorting a little to catch her attention.
"Oh, and this is Andromeda... my guide", she added, pointing at the brown and green reindeer. "Don't you guys have guides too?"

Tadrith smiled at the newcomer. "Sure, you can play. Anyone can. I, sadly, do not have a guide." He grinned at all three of the pups. "Just 'cause I'm a big thing doesn't mean I'm boring. Everyone needs some fun in their life. And who wants to be boring? So!" He clapped his paws together loudly. "Who want to play no-rules-Tag? It's quite fun. Run, fly, swim, tumble, do anything you can to tag or get rid of the person after you!" He paused for a moment, as if thinking about something. "Well, I suppose you can't harm the other players. Getting whacked isn't that fun."

She poked Tad with her paw and then flied into the air, though wobbily - but she was still grinning. Andromeda quickly ran out of the way, following Aravis, though at the ground.

Taxi stared at the newcomer without reserve; she shared names--or at least, nicknames--with his own caretaker, which creeped him out. It would be a warm day in the Underworld when he would call her 'Ara', in any case. He wondered what in the world she was doing with that wierd bovine-looking animal. A Guide? The hell was that? With a snort, he turned away, no bothering to reply to her query. She wasn't that interesting, even if she could, y'know, fly and stuff. Well, it wasn't actual flying, it was cheap-o flying, like gliding or summat. He was sure if that was able to fly, he'd do much better.
One-rule tag? What kind of lame-a** game was one-rule tag?! Although Taxi sort of agreed with Tadrith on the fact that getting whacked was no fun, but still. Calling it one-rule tag sounded cheap--wait. Flying? Swimming?! How was he gonna do that?!
He was gonna die!!
Muffling his sudden panic, Taxi pawed at the earth. "Fine," he mumbled, watching as Aravis made the rapist-demon 'it'. All the more reason to run, he decided, and bolted away from Tadrith as far as his stubby pup's legs would take him.

Tadrith snorted, but kept still as the pups ran off. They'd need a head start anyway. Maybe if he ran some of the way... That would certainly give them a head start. His meeting with the ground were too often for his tastes. What was wrong with flying? But nooooooooo, everyone thought walking was the way to -- Great, he was blabbering to himself again. He sighed, picked a direction, and dashed away with a stumble every few feet. Both the kids had gone generally in the same direction, so he should find at least one of them soon...

Laying alone in the field, the large orange tala heaved a deep sigh, and rolled onto his back. His eyes closed and he heaved another sigh.
"Davina.."
Koda watched on in desperation, wishing he could cheer his father up.
