JoVo Shimbo-kun Vague based on the quotation marks, it looks more like an allusion than an insult to me. JoVo's wit tends to get ahead of his brain at times... Just because he's making an illusion to something, doesn't mean that it isn't insulting. You're only insulted because: 1) You don't know what an allusion is. 2) You haven't read or didn't understand the source of the allusion, which I mentioned earlier in this thread. You sure do make many assumptions. I do actually know what an allusion is. I misspelled it in that post, but that's irrelevant. I also did read your explanation of where it came from, and what it was, but that doesn't mean it wasn't an insulting comment. Why is it that you continue to attack me? I figured this dispute was settled quite a few posts back, yet here you are reviving it. You seem rather persistant in keeping things between us difficult.

Shimbo-kun ...I do actually know what an allusion is. I misspelled it in that post, but that's irrelevant... Actually, I would say that particular misspelling is relevant. An illusion is a totally different thing than an allusion.

An illusion is a totally different thing than an allusion. I know that the difference between an illusion and an allusion is an important difference for one to take note of, but the fact that I misspelled it is not important. The intention was for me to type allusion, and it was a simple mistake. One wrong letter didn't grotesquely obscure the meaning of my post. And at this point, the whole discussion has been altered to that of a rather childlike bickering, so I don't understand why people seem to care so much about such a silly little thing, chiefly seeing as how it's getting in the way of the thread's topic.

I quite agree, grammar is being overly emphasized at this Guild. I can see if it was a real hinderance to understanding a person's typing, if it were even possible for them to slip past me. Which did happen here with "allusion" and "illusion." Shimbo, just understand that it can be quite difficult to understand and respond if words are misspelled. Everyone else, please stop with the Grammar Nazi routine. Criticism is good, but is it really worth the one letter? If you can understand and wish to respond, just try to incorporate the word in your post spelled properly. Maybe that's just me and my passive methods, but this really needs to stop.

Keithing Grammar is being overly emphasized at this Guild. I'm all for good grammar and spelling, I wish everyone would do their best when it comes to these things. However, I agree that it can be over-emphasized a lot here. If you can't understand what was said, by all means let the person know, but do we really need to be arguing about who mispelled what?

I've attacked plenty of people in my time, so I'm usually quite aware of when I'm making an attack. You were never so treated. And I was responding yesterday to a post you made yesterday. I was not responding to some situation that occurred weeks ago and has since been without mention. Finally, have you ever read the poem? If not, then take it from me: It was not an insult. If anything, I was poking more fun at myself by its use. None of this should have ever happened. In the future, I'll try to avoid using literary references with you, as I see now they will only be grossly misinterpreted. I also want to apologize for having called you attractive when you first joined. I agree with you, but this is one case where the difference was an important one. It was corrected as soon as he said "I meant to type 'allusion,' not 'illusion.'" The pretention now is that he seems to claim that we should have understood he meant the former and not the latter. I don't see how I am to guess the meaning of a person's post if they use an entirely different word. This is the opposite of the situation where Q and Vague kept correcting me because they thought I intended to say a certain thing where I had actually intended to say precisely what I typed.

Montigo Dominic I really like how most of my posts seem to be ignored by most of the guild, especially my input on the argument... I thought I heard Montigo, but it must have been the sighing of the trees... Slipping over rocky mountains, Skipping rivulets and fountains, lounging where the weeping willows, qui-ver. Cute picture up there, whoever that was.
