Sorrow raised her hand and began to heal herself, fixing the bones, cuts, and bruises left by Contri. She laid there looking as if she was still injured, still lying in a pool of blood she had dripped. She pretended to writhe in pain, knowing full well she was not.
“Flint, please distract him, when you do I’ll shoot him with a holy arrow. It’s the only way.” She whispered to him.
Contri stood there cracking his knuckles in his hands and then neck dashing forwards to grab flints wrist as well as neck. His movements were beginning to slow down a little bit, enough that he was visible, but he was still fast.
“Any last words?!” his words seemed to scream out rage.

Flint turned his head to look at Sorrow. "There isn't much else I can do. Just hurry up." he whispered out of the side of his mouth. He raised his hand as Contri ran at him. "Yeah, I do." he said casually. "I regret not learning this stuff sooner." And with that, he disappeared. Actually, it was a lot more complicated than that. The ball of energy in his hand wrapped itself around him, and it slowly changed colour to the surroundings. Behind his temporary shroud, Flint took a step to the side. He had only a minute, two tops. Should be time enough. "Hey, here's a question?" he asked from Contri's right side. As soon as he was done, he walked slowly behind him. "What's the difference between you, and a mallard with a cold?" Flint asked, attempting his best to annoy the living hell out of Contri. "One's a sick duck...aw damn, I forgot how it ends, but your mother's a whore." Flint finished, this time on Contri's left.

['but your mother's a whore', I nearly died laughing.]
As Mike shoved past people, images flashed through his head. One snapped into place, a picture of Mike holding Sorrow's blood covered corpse. A fire inside his heart exploded, and Mike leaned forward as black flames ingulfed him. His wings exploded out of the flames, and Mike leaped over a woman and her daughter as he took into the air. He reached the height of the church in a second and pulled his limbs in as his power grew from his hatred. His eye teeth grew slightly longer, his iris failed to reflect any light, and he grew black claws out of his left hand while his right hand's claws sharpened to a deadlier point. The talons in his wings curved further outward before going inward again. And to top it all off, Mike's blade twisted and distorted till it looked as if it was turned into a scimitar from the Inferno. Mike threw his arms and legs outward, and with a deafening roar black flames burst from his chest. He was now fully transformed into Nero Angelo.
Mike flew slightly higher to get a good look at the world. He instantly pulled out Sorrow and saw a young man standing near her. The name 'Contri' flashed in his head. Deep down he knew he had to get the answers to his past from him, but as for now he wanted to see how many houses he could paint with his blood. He decided to compromised both of them. Mike leaned forward and took off towards Contri as black flames wrapped around him, turning him into a DarkFire meteor. His arms were down by his sides, but his hands were facing outward. He was going to cleave Contri in two and get the information from him during his last few moments in life.

Contri was dumbfounded as to the technique being used against him. His opponent was invisible. And yet he could feel a dark force coming his way. He turned just in time for a searing blast of holy light, fired from Sorrows fingers, impale him in the chest. His eyes grew wide and he fell to the floor. Contri started coughing up blood and looked down at his hands. His vision became blurry and he let out a rather grotesque scream.
“This… this can’t be!”
The blood poured from his mouth after speaking, he collapsed on the floor not moving. Sorrow slowly stood up, shakily moving, as if her body were being weighted down. She rose slightly and walked over to where he was laying on the ground. She then noticed Mike approaching form the distance. She felt a sigh of relief in seeing him, but something felt fishy about Contri. She didn’t expect him to go down so easily.

"Wow." Flint said, still invisible. "I didn't expect that to work." he added, turning to Mike. "Good timing." he yelled, becoming visible. "And not a moment too soon Sorrow, thanks." he added. He also walked over to Contri, slowly. "Be careful...he might be faking it. If he's really dead though...damn." he said slowly.

Mike had seen the events unfold before him. His blind rage screamed at him as his heart took control, the flames fading as he drifted downward slowly. His body reverted back to it's usual demonic form. The power that was drained made Mike dizzy, and when he snapped back, he flew into a chimney and landed on the ground, covering his head from debris. He had never done that before, some untold beast had awoken within him. Was that what he was supposed to be?
He didn't have time for questions though. He ran over to Sorrow and put his wing around her, touching her shoulder gently. "Are you alright?" he asked. His voice was darker and more serious due to the presumably dead mage lying a few feet away, but there was still a touch of concern in his voice. He didn't want to show a weakness.

Sorrow felt Nero’s wing embrace her, and she started to blush a bit. She looked up at him and tried to get herself up off the ground. She put her arm over him and started to stand up.
“I’ll… be alright, I just need to rest.”
She looked over at Contri who suddenly opened his eyes and slowly raised his left arm, holding a dark orb in it. Thick black smoke surrounded him and he slowly began to slip into nothingness, his hand being the last thing they could see of him.
“Nero, I’ll be back for you later.”
He had vanished, and so too had his scent, and anything else that could pinpoint where he is had vanished with it. He had gotten away, however it seemed to be a stalemate at this point.
“Thank you Flint, and thank you Mike. For coming to my rescue. I don’t know what would of happened if you weren’t here.”
Sorrow leaned her head up against Nero’s and closed her eyes for a brief moment.

Flint watched Mike in awe as he crashed down, quickly jumping out of the way. He watched the two for a moment, then looked at Contri, who appeared to be stirring. "Guys?" he started. Suddenly, Contri started to disappear. This time it wasn't a shroud, like Flint's, as far as he knew. "You're welcome." Flint said to Sorrow's comment. "I had no idea it was you, though. I was on the balcony of my room, looking out, and I heard this screaming. No idea it was Contri. If it was, I probably wouldn't have made my presence known like that." he explained. "As for what would have happened...Mike got here fairly late. You'd be in a hell of a worse shape than you are now." He stayed quiet as well for a minute, getting back some energy from the fight. "Alright, you two lovebirds." he said, seeing Sorrow lean her head against Nero's. "Lets head back to the inn, and get some rest. It's a lot safer there, as well." he added.

(I'm back from finals...looks like we had a small bit of fun while I was gone)
Ashe had gone upstairs and into the inn's bathroom. She started a hot bath and fallen into a light sleep while in it. She woke up to screaming and jumped out of the tub. But by the time she'd gotten dry, dressed, and outside, the fighting had stopped. She saw Sorrow and Mike hugging, as if the fight in the woods hadn't happened, and Flint walking back in. She smiled to herself and slipped back to her room and fell asleep.

[Finals, ugh. I'm adding a new enemy to kill off. Nero will probably need help when they encounter him, but that's still a while off.]
Mike folded his other wing over Sorrow when Contri spoke, worried he was up to something again. He relaxed when he vanished though. He was angry at himself over the fact that he let him get away with his lost memories, but relieved that Sorrow was no longer in harms way. "If you ever need me I'll be here," Mike said to Sorrow, "just shout my name, Nero Angelo." He was glad Sorrow was safe, and also glad that he could count on Flint to come to the rescue when he couldn't. "So what do you say guys, let's go-"
"A-AAAAH! DEMON!" Mike whipped around to see a woman pointing at him. Civilians were in the streets looking at him with terror in their eyes. Mike wasn't focused on them much, his attention was drawn to the archers who were aiming at him. If they fired they'd hit Sorrow and Flint, neither of whom could stand up to a volley of arrows. Mike decided to take drastic action.
"DarkFire Inferno!" Mike shouted, throwing a black orb of flames at the ground. As the wall of flames rose the arrows flew through the air. Only one made it through, going straight through Mike's torso. He didnt flinch due to his strength against regular conventional weapons. "Flint! Get Sorrow back to the inn! I'll keep these guys at bay for a while!" Mike turned towards the wall of black flames and folded his wings back as he placed his arms to his sides. With that, he casually strolled into the flames.
The DarkFire had no effect on him. It only healed his wounds around the arrow which he would pluck out in a moment. The DarkFire was part of him, without it he'd be nothing. But with it, he could bring destruction upon the whole planet. But he wasn't heartless. As he walked out to the other side he saw the archers were ready for another volley. Mike grabbed the arrow and plucked it out, dropping it off to his side. He bowed his head and gave a sick smile before throwing his arms and wings out in a horrifying roar. His pose was so threatening and his roar so fearful that the archers miss fired and shot their arrows either backwards or straight into the ground before running away. Mike didn't want any bloodshed from innocent humans that were doing their jobs, so he ran up to the soldiers and bashed them on their helmets with his left hand, knocking them unconsious. The citizens he just ran up to and growled at, sending them inside buildings or fainting right on the street. It was fun to be horrifying. Especially when he had good friends waiting for his return.
But for now, Mike was having fun sending the soldiers to Dreamland. He galloped after people on all fours, waving his wings to make him seem more threatening. What he didn't know was the that king's royal guard had sent one of their own for him, a tracker, who was wearing more armor than most people could even lift. He could pose trouble for Nero Angelo, especially with a holy sword.

Flint shook his head when the civilians yelled, and nearly got stunned when Mike cast his spell. "Wait, what the hell are you doing!" Flint shouted. He turned to Sorrow. "Stay here for a minute, I'm going to stop your boyfriend from killing everyone in this city. You REALLY got pick 'em better, for future reference." Flint said, laughing and running after Mike. He stopped at a knocked out archer, ignoring the fact he was stirring. Flint lifted his hand to see a ring with a certain symbol etched on it. "Hey, what the?" the archer mumbled, getting another fist upside the head. "No, bad archer, stay down." Flint said, turning to Mike. "Oi, STOP!" he roared, gathering the chaos energy into his hand and covering himself with it. Flint grew to about 6 and a half feet and was now the size of a rather well built human. When the glow around him dropped, he was wearing polished armour and had slicked back, jet black hair. And at his belt was a massive sword. He drew it, placing it on Mike's back, just on his neck. "Calm down there, Mike." Flint said, not disguising his voice. "These are the King's Vanguard...or at least he is." Flint pointed over Mike's shoulder with his sword. "We need to see the King. Kill anymore, and our chances are zip. Come on, go get your girlfriend, lets all head back to the inn, have a drink, and forget this ever happened." he finished.

Mike stopped terrorizing people when Flint put the sword to his neck. "Alright, for one, it's Nero Angelo now, and two I haven't kill anyone. I gave them a nap and a story to tell people. I don't kill the innocent. Just because I'm a demon doesn't mean I enjoy spilling blood all over the street." Mike realized he was getting to defensive. "Look, they dont know you're with me. Get outta here before they assume otherwise! I'm used to being an outcast anyways." Mike knocked Flint's sword away and took off to the sky before he could bring it back up. Those illusions were an annoyance at least.

"I don't care if you're the King now, we need..." Flint didn't finish before Mike left. Flint whistled, turning and heading up the street. He turned to the archers that where cowering. "Go on, back to the barracks with ya, ya maggots! I'll get the Sarge over 'ere, and you won't like it one bit!" he shouted in a disguised voice. The archers snapped to attention, the ones that where still conscious. Then they ran off. "I told you, you really need to pick 'em better." Flint said, laughing at his charade as he passed Sorrow.

Sorrow stood and slowly walked back to the inn. She was feeling a bit lightheaded and didn’t know what was going on, but she no longer wanted to be a part of it. He legs were getting a bit woozy as she entered the inn and made her way up the old wooden stairs. She slowly walked down the hallway to where she would be resting and opened the door. After locking it, she sat on her bed and looked down at her hands.
Did I really do that? Did I kill those people? It seemed so real.
Sorrow stood up and slid her clothes off and got under the sheets of the bed. She rolled over to her side and grabbed the other pillow and held it against her body. “Oh Mike…” She spoke as she fell asleep.
