You kind of HAVE to do the Diplomacy check if you want your charrie to be usable again. xp
The initial 3 Diplomacy Checks are what is used to wake up. The rest of them are for you to become sane again.

@Ellreka: There you go. You got it. biggrin It's not THAT complicated... well... it is, but once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze. heart I haven't checked the new post, but from what you posted here, you've got it under your belt. 3nodding
Kouri is right... the only way you would be able to beat Nakamura/Zenjin's DC for the Identify check, would be to roll a 20... sweatdrop

If I'm not mistaken, it's 10 to wake up, and 15 to become sane again.

yeah Thanks I'll post Raine trying to wake up, um what happens if I fail the dc? do I just try again? and Kira is back she hasn't got back from school yet though. or so I think. anyway I don't have to do any of the recovery post however is helping me become sane again does.
oh and are the gates the marshes?

No. The entrance to the village would be the Traveling/training thread.
Before that would be the Forest Clearing. Followed by the Marshes.
