[[Why not? 10 HP sounds reasonable, but only one monster at a time.]]
PostPosted: Wed Aug 29, 2007 3:45 pm

[[New battle rule. Defeat three people and you level up. You may then enhance ONE skill. Like leveling up the monster as well. Monster hit is 1-5 not 1-6.]]

((Sorry 'bout going away. I do have to do one more thing (swim for like, 20-30 minutes) but I'll be back then.

This OOC will explode in 20-30 minutes.))

HP: 58

"You could do us all a big favor and snap your trap," Mark said softly, examining his chest. He'd pulled away at the last second; it hadn't done much, but his flesh and clothing were scorched. Once he had the time and energy to devote to it, he'd start regenerating. It would take a long time ((here I'll regenerate 1 HP per post when not in combat.)) but he'd be fine.

Either way, these things were going down. The same energy submachinegun began expanding out of his left forearm, clearly meant to combat the newcomer. The first came back up. "Now, why do you not just be a good boy and die?" Again he lit up his target with energy.

Aaand while I'm on it, why not work on my cool conversation in this language? Need to figure out some good puns...

(( eek I have been wondering since the beginning of this RP on why cyborgs have 60 HP while supernaturals have 40, and he regenerates too! crying Saki, my character can't do this alone! He'd die! <_< I have no choice but to use my boulder monsters!))

Boulder monster HP: 6 Kin HP: 27

Kin smirked and raised his arm. One of the boulder monsters stood in between and took in all the damage, roaring with anguish, "I don't need to listen from someone like you!" He exclaimed and jumped up into the sky. The boulder monster attempted to make a great big earth slam while he spun around for a sharp kick with his clawed feet.

((Don't worry, regeneration is only out of combat. Like, instead of hospitals or something.))

HP:56

The earth slam was easy to see, but it did force him into his opponent's kick. Again, the wound wasn't bad, but it was a hit and it was bleeding. "Nice, but not nice enough." The other gun hadn't finished growing yet. "Let's try this AGAIN!"

Ryn came in, from the side. He shouted as he flapped," Though my mother is not impressed with what I have done, I think she prefers me, the failure, to you, Kin."

He smirked, his sharp teeth showing, before charging and slashing his clawed feet out at his foe, trying to puncture his wings.

((*twitch* I'm really getting weighed down with the lovely junk of life, so I'm gonna make it so that it's ok if I miss a couple days. biggrin
but, I'll still try to check teh rp, to see if anything else has happened.
wich we all know it will.))

Izzy headed behind a tree, (stop laughing! gonk I couldn't think of anything better. cry ) and waited for an opportunity to enter the pentagon. (and yes, this is a semi-back-track) The wind picked up, and what looked like a massive dust storm. The wind tore at her body, and the tree, she closed her eyes, hoped for the best, and expected the worst.
When she re-opened her eyes, the dust storm seemed to have cleared a little, and she could see Ryn and, someone else fighting, and a little while later, she saw another someone (Craig I think...) bust through the gate and beat a bunch of the pentagon's defences. 'obviously one of those purifier.. defender people..' she thought.
While he was the main distraction of the defence's, Izzy made her way through the gate (unlikely I know, but pretend that there was a side gate that had been blown open or something.) and she got inside the pentagon. She made her way through the halls, silently sprinting thru the halls. She didn't care much to talk to the gaurds and what-not, and she hopped that Nendir would go ahead and do that. She had froze in her spot when she heard footsteps approahing the corner (in front of her) and just before the person came around, she set offf running in the opposite direction. She darted down a hallway she had ignored earlier, and as she did the footsteps quickened in pace. Another man came around the opposite corner and she could feigntly hear them shouting in the backround, but she couldn't hear exactaly what they were saying because her ears were already filled with an irritating buzzing noise. She kept running, and tryed to weave her way around the man before her, but he caught her by her shirt collar. She twisted out of his grip, but she used too much force, and her shoulde chrashed into the wall followed by her head. Izzy couldn't feel anything but the pain that was coursing through her nerves. Her body crumpled onto the floor, rendered unconcious.

((please don't wake her up unless it's a totaly integral part of the story. thankie much!
and thee's probably a ton of typo's but I'm super tired and I just wanted to get this done.))

As the battle issued, Craig was holding his head. Simple commands ere being ushered to him, and he knew which were loyal purifiers. Snapping his neck, he launched at Ryn, in an attempt to ground him. Craig had progamming in his mind, but now was not the time to test them, find out about things after you defeat your opponents, not before or during..

(( >_> I've been away for too long. So many battles...
Saki, I'm saying screw the NPCs. Something's happening over in the Pentagon and I want to get to it. So unless you tell me otherwise, I won't roll the dice for this post.))

a'Ariella had been surfing the city winds the entire night and was beginning to feel - if not tired, then at least bored. Life was exciting with Tamwyn. Ethieri'i craved constant change.
She was drifting back towards the hotel she had left Tamwyn in when a noise shrieked across her being. When she recovered her senses, a'Ariella glanced wide-eyed at a hole in the sky from which monstrous creatures were spewing.
That can't be good... she thought.
***
a'Ariella dove through the window of the small Chinatown hotel and blew around the room. Tamwyn! Tamwyn! she yelled.
Tamwyn stuck her head up out of the rumpled covers. "What?"
Demons are attacking the city! a'Ariella yelled anxiously.
"What?" asked Tamwyn. She got out of bed in the same clothes she had worn the day before and went to the window.
People were running in the streets as demons chased after them, grinning horribly. A woman shielded her child as a demon bore down on them. A hysterical businessman was sliced in half. Everywhere, there were screams.
"This will not do," said Tamwyn slowly.
a'Ariella looked at her. While her aspect remained unchanged, something was growing in Tamwyn that told any nearby that she was not human.
"They must not be interfered with until my task is complete," Tamwyn said.
Suddenly she spun around and grabbed her jacket from the back of the chair. "Come, a'Ariella," she said.
"We're checking out."
***
On the street, a'Ariella picked Tamwyn up on her orders and flew to the source of the demon portal. "Is it close?" she yelled, the wind whipping her words away.
a'Ariella pulled the smaller wind back up and listened to Tamwyn's words. Yes, she said. She swerved to avoid an overturned truck. We're almost there now.
A demon leaped unexpectedly into their path, seeing nothing but a human being carried towards him. He grinned and opened his slavering jaws wide.
Tamwyn! yelled a'Ariella, unable to stop in time-
And then they were past the demon, whose sliced body was crumbling into ash.
How- asked a'Ariella, twisting her head to look at Tamwyn. Tamwyn was holding a sword made of light, so searingly bright that it was like looking into the sun.
"Don't ask," Tamwyn said. "We don't have time."
a'Ariella sped up to the portal. There, hanging hundreds of feet above the earth, Tamwyn regarded the rent in the sky. It howled and glowed an unnatural color.
Tamwyn bent her head and muttered words rapidly under her breath in a language that a'Ariella couldn't understand. She caught snatches of "entreat you" and "not belong" and "lord of sky".
Just when a'Ariella was starting to get worried about the airborne demons heading their way, Tamwyn finished her chant with a sudden loud yell.
The hole in the sky abruptly closed in on itself. The demons, in air and below, paused, confused.
Tamwyn took a deep breath and raised her head. "Make sure to keep tight hold of me, a'Ariella," she said. She touched the bracelet on her arm, which a'Ariella noticed had the charm of a sword hanging on it. "And whatever you do, don't look."
a'Ariella shut her eyes obediently. But even through her closed lids, she could see what happened next.
Tamwyn raised the arm with the bracelet over her head. The bracelet began to throb slowly with a white-hot light. Each throb grew successively more painful, and the demons below began to cry out with pain and anger. Then-
A wash of white-hot light spilled from the bracelet, searing the eyes and mind, burning the very oxygen in the air around it. Demons screamed and tried to flee, but heavy globs of light pinpointed them and fell, turning their bodies to ash. The humans were left unharmed, save for those few who were too close to the demons or were in the process of being eaten. They, too, were vaporized.
Eventually the curtain of light evaporated and Tamwyn fell back into a'Ariella's hands. Tamwyn? she asked cautiously, but the stelleri did not respond. Her eyes flickered under their lids and she appeared to be muttering.
a'Ariella lowered Tamwyn to the roof of a nearby building and hovered anxiously until the stelleri shook her head to wake up.
Are you all right? the ethieri'i asked in concern.
"I'm fine," Tamwyn said, staggering a little as she got up. "Or I will be. This body isn't made to channel that much power." She straightened. "Take us down, please."
a'Ariella gently lowered Tamwyn to the ground, where she began walking as a'Ariella ghosted along side her. That was amazing, the way you sliced that demon in half, she said happily. And how all those demons just- oh no...
"What is it?" Tamwyn asked, halting.
a'Ariella floated before the display window of a TV store. All the TVs were turned to a single horrifying scene: the destruction of the Pentagon.
Tamwyn's eyes went hard. "This cannot be allowed," she said to herself. She looked at the place where a'Ariella floated. "a'Ariella!"
Yes? a'Ariella asked.
"We must give up pursuit of the third for now," Tamwyn said. "We're going to the Pentagon."
There was no subtle gathering of particles or conversing with the wind. Tamwyn simply barked out a single word.
Then they were gone.

((Phew! I didn't mean to write so much. >_> Don't worry, she won't use that all-powerful attack at the Pentagon - her source of power is unlimited, but her body has limitations. It needs to recharge. Other than that - *grin* Prepare for cosmic war!))

HP:26

Ryn spun, catching the Purifier that had attacking him on a wing, and flinging him aside, preventing himself from being damaged. He roared in anger, his thoughts slowly degrading from their careful order, to the simple thoughts of Survive and Destroy.

His rage had reached, quite literally, boiling point, and he spun back to Kin, and his creation, spewing searing flame at them both.

((First is Kin, second is creation))

In the momentum Craig flew into what was left of a tank. He did not laugh in happiness of battle, nor anger if failing. He simply thought of a way to hit that flying beast in the air. He looked to what he had options of, then remembered what had stopped his flight. Picking up A large piece of tank leftovers, he threw it so not to hit the two allies, only the flying beast...

Something hit Ryn from behind, and he fell, slamming into the ground, pain shaking through his scaled body. Grunting he slowly pushed himself up, his massive strength allowing him to push the large piece of tank off of him.

Once he was standing, he grabbed the piece of tank, and flung it back at the one who had attacked him, roaring with rage.

Craig braced for impact, the tank piece hitting him on the top of the body, and his sliding back a few feet. This made him grunt slightly, he knew a dent in his metal was there and only time could tell whether the gods see it fit to hammer it back into place.

Craig nodded "I finally have your attention bird man!?Good! Lets see who the gods chose to win, and who to lose!" With that he grabbed another peice of metal and ran at him, throwing the piece at Ryn as he charged.
