I wouldn't call it a war, but yes. We're currently just waiting on an edit from Luo before we can move on.

There's a few things you can do in this thread. Other than that, not much, unfortunately. Find some other genin and hang out with them or something probably.

I see.. Well as such there are not many genin around/ the battle kind of stops that of hanging out... I'll come up with an epic ten paragraph post that stretches the page biggrin

I fully support the massive post idea. Once I got good at writing, I've made an effort to always introduce my new characters with as large of a post as I could create without being ridiculous. It's a good way to both get familiar with a new character, and show everyone else who you are.
However, there are some groups of genin around, though their activity has faded a bit. I know there's some in the hospital thread, and I think there are some in the marketplace.

Hinote Tosatsu I fully support the massive post idea. Once I got good at writing, I've made an effort to always introduce my new characters with as large of a post as I could create without being ridiculous. I know there's some in the hospital thread, and I think there are some in the marketplace. lol.. Well in on of my older guilds that has died, (refering to the one in my sig). To even start joining in on the fun action, I had to post a massive 8 paragraph post, about taking off and flying a jet.

I only made like three other posts in that guild before leaving... That was my intro post. Kind of sad, I was having fun there. Crew wasn't that great though, so I gave up and left. Funnily enough, the guild immediately died too. @Timmy: Is Natsumi even in that thread? I thought she and Cobra were in the market.

Yeah, she is actually in that thread. Technically, she is in the back of the hospital having just taken a shower after being healed because she got run through on a metal object. ( How as a genin without outstanding abilities she didn't start crying from that, and managed to walk herself to the hospital, I don't really know... ) But yeah, she's in the hospital.

That post was a challenge honestly. One of my friends joined the guild and mast a 2k post, and challenged another of my friends to make a higher one. He joined, and made a 3k post, then gave me the same challenge. So of course, I had to hit 4k, and once I hit that point just finishing up the scene took another 600 words.
Edit: @Timmy: Oh wow... Maybe I should have watched their scene after all. O.o
How on earth did she get run through with Kye with her?

Eh, it seemed sort of overly long for what it needed to be when I looked at it.
Basically if I'm remembering correctly, something fell, it had a piece of metal in it, and she got stabbed because Kye wanted to keep her secret. Which I think Kye turned right around and used her bloodline to pull it out gently, with her hand on it so it at least looked like Kye was pulling it. Do the buildings in Sunagakure even use Rebar? I just always thought we had people like you who just massively compacted each and every building to the point that it was rock solid, despite being weak sandstone.
