Late reply, but what kind of file are you saving it as? I'm not exactly an expert on this and may be telling you some you already know, but I'll try to help anyway.
If you're saving it as a .jpeg, the picture is not going to turn out so well, especially if you plan on editing it later. .jpeg files compress the picture so they tend to blend colors where they meet which makes it a nightmare to try to make changes afterwards.
.png files seem to be better to save a picture as. It makes saving a picture you want to work on later a lot easier.
There's probably even better file types, but I do know about these at least. Sorry if this was no help at all.

I feel restless and feel like going out and doing something, but the bf's busy, the friends are busy, and I just hung out with my parents yesterday. o.0

I hate how my Photoshop doesn't even let me ******** open, let alone save, a file as a .png. It's supposed to be cleaner that way. D:

It is - a .png quite literally saves what each and every pixel is. It's hard to get more precise than that! A jpg, by way of contrast, saves equations that tell it what certain areas of the picture are supposed to be. Less resource intensive, but less accurate.

For the first time, I've come to realize that TV Tropes doesn't always reflect all the opinions people have. Which should have been relatively obvious, but...it just seems so universal, you know? So many things are endlessly disagreed on around the site that it's hard to comprehend that everyone there agreeing on something doesn't mean everyone agrees. And I can't tell you how refreshing it is to browse for a few months and feel like I'm the only person in the world who thinks such-and-such, and then Google it and find out how wrong I am. Even if the results don't cover everything in my head, it feels so good to find out that there are other people who [hate/love/otherwise feel alternatively about] [character/plot/media/device/aspect/et cetera].
