I think you should give it a shot, Kimini. For what to do with the baby, maybe bring him in or see if your husband can take the day off and take care of him or something? :3
Not to mention it'd be awesome to see you on it, like Taylor said :3

Kimini Okay, I need help. American Idol is coming to Seattle. Seattle is about a half-hour to an hour away (depending mostly on traffic rather than distance) from where I live. I would REALLY love to be able to audition. I love singing. heart
However, I'm not sure it's worth the trouble. Mind helping me decide, me guildies? Pros: 1. It's American Idol! The possibilities boggle the mind. I could end up on TV! Or even in Hollywood! 2. I'd get (hopefully constructive) criticism from people who know what they're talking about. 3. I'd get the chance to perform, which I very rarely have these days, and to do something non-mommy-related for a change.
Cons: 1. Auditions are in a very packed part of the city, difficult to get to, parking is $10, you have to get there at 5am, and I might have to hang out there all day and still not get to even audition. 2. No idea what I'd do with Baby-Ree during auditions or if I did end up on the show. 3. I'm not sure I'm even talented enough to get past the first screening process.
....So should I push past my reservations about all of it and do it anyway? Or just forget about it and watch the show? *huggles Kimi* I'm all for doing something non-mommy-related! 3nodding heart
Can't you leave Baby-Ree with the in-laws?
I think it would be worth just going and trying, if you don't get on then you won't have to worry about what to do with the kiddo and if you do I'm sure that those there will help you make it work.

I say go for it, Kimi! As Jen and Emi said, you could leave Baby-Ree with your husband, in-laws, or maybe a very trusted friend. If you did make it, it would be awesome to see you preforming! And if not, than at least you had fun while auditioning! whee
And I have a question for you. I'm drawing all of the guild shopkeepers as FFVII characters, and I want to know who you want to be drawn as. 3nodding

Kimi: Do it. ^^ Even if it turns out to be a complete waste of your time, it's one of those things that's fun to say that you did. At the very least, it will be an interesting experience and a fun story to tell. And hopefully you'd have fun singing, too. Burn the other bridges once you get to them. XD

Yep...basically the only way you'd get me to watch would be if Kimi was going to be on. *heh* Otherwise, I have better ways to spend my time.

I only like watching the auditions. But then when the finals come, I get bored and go do something else. xp
I just can't watch game shows anymore. Survivor, Big Brother, the Amazing Race...they all bore me now. xp

When I think of "game shows" I think of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. XD I love those shows. I hardly have a chance to catch Jeopardy but I can watch Wheel of Fortune while making lunch for the next day. *hee*

I went into a brief depression when Ken Jenning's run finally ended.
I love those commercials he did afterwards. "What is 'stinking rich'?"
