Well you can't -make- anything land. You can make your attacks compelling, but then people either dig in and NO U or LOLDODGE and everything grinds to a halt. That or you plow through everything and then get nerfed or your character elements are banned next year.
Imagine she lands one of those axes, not even just the super powered axe hit, but then it chains some diseases and s**t. Then its followed by another axe with more diseases. Somewhere in there some spell if probably going to go off and seal the deal.
As far as Tres the character goes... I gotta say this having no real fight training/interest in that s**t... I have no idea what the ******** you're talking about when you use technical terms like double leg takedowns. I'm sure its not hard to figure out with google or something but it's not intuitive to me. It's uninteresting and detracts from the RP.
It's like if Jak jumps in here and is all like "i shoot u in the face with my triple breach gas operated carbine magazine something something tungstun steel bullshit" it might make perfect sense to him as a gun nut, but I have no idea what the ******** he's talking about.

Good point keebs. I realize that is a problem. I encounter it more when I decide not to describe everything. So instead of describing what exactly a double leg is, I just say double leg But then things get wordy if I don't. what do you think is a good solution?

A double leg is the wrestling equivalent of a jab or hook: it's so basic that most people probably know it without realizing that they do. Because it's basically a controlled tackle, except you're grabbing the back of their legs and pulling while using your bodyweight to push into them. Leverage does all the work for you, as opposed to how with a full-body tackle you're relying more on force to bowl your opponent over.
Also, getting real tired of Mother Nature's bullshit. It's snowed to the north, west AND east of where I live. Know where it hasn't snowed? Here, and on the way to the city where my uni is.
So everywhere else is a blizzard but somehow I still have a safe route right to classes tomorrow. ******** Mother Nature.

Man.
Ya'll better love me.
Vintrict keeps going like "Well, I got this tiny non-moving image for the round we can use."
And I'm like "Nah. ******** that. These guys deserve better."
-Slap-
"Here's an animated and higher quality version OF THE SAME STAGE. While I'm at it, here are some others using the exact same thing. Also animated and HD cause I'm da s**t."
Yea. That's exactly how it went down.
EDIT:
Did he not send out grades to you guys?

No.
And Tres, go,
"Tres attempted to tackle his opponent by throwing his arms around their legs and diving forwards."
It's similar in that... you don't expect a duelist fighting you to just post some sword technique without describing what that move actually is.

I released the winners.
As for individual scorecards...I'm sorry.
We'll get those out tomorrow. It's a pain in my a** to go through and put it together and email them out one at a time to 16 different people.
If he doesn't have them sent out by the time I get home from work, I'll start sending them out myself.
For now, I'm going to bed.

In other news, Sanoci's Darius lost to a ninja cat. How's he goin' to react to that?

And that same ninja cat pulled overtime and won twice in the same round. Damn, man. I think we have our champion here.

It's similar in that... you don't expect a duelist fighting you to just post some sword technique without describing what that move actually is. That sounds like awful technique. lol. but I think I got your point, I guess I'll try to describe it accurately with as few words as possible. But then again, I feel like the response to this is "sieg technique doesn't matter that much, its an RP fight" Which very well may be true. I guess I'm still stuck in the mind set of 'if you use bad technique your opponent will use it against you'
