It's okay. >.< The only thing that really bugged me was why it was delayed.
Did the pilot think the weather was too bad? Was it overbooked? Did Gilbert decide San Fransisco was a great place to start up Prussia again?
But that fiasco is over now, and that's what matters. smile

People are getting a bit too uptight about it, if you as me Bela... I fully understand the concept, and I agree with it. However, what I don't agree with is when someone uses or makes an icon from Japanese fanart, attacking them and calling them art thieves as I've seen done. And anyway, those same people that attack others will surely download a doujin that someone's posted and scanned, and no one jumps on them or the person that put it up. It's like a double standard with gray lines for rules. ><;

Oh, it's a shame that iconists get attacked about it. I for one fully understand that fanart iconists take no claim for the art used in the icons, and that many do their best to acknowledge the artist by giving a credit link. However, apparently it doesn't suffice. D:
The Olive Branch Project isn't meant to cause drama; I believe the mods initially came up with it as a method of bridging the gap between Western and Japanese fans.
It's sad about the double standards, true. I'm not sure what should be done about that, though I think it's probably acceptable if it's the official manga... Though legally that's a bit of a grey area I reckon. I'm not sure. I own both volumes of the manga in real life, having actually bought them myself, but downloaded the scans for the purpose of making them into icons and for storage on my computer, as I wasn't able to scan them personally.
Anyway, let's discuss in the announcement thread for it, instead of in the general chat thread, eh?
Enough of that. How's everyone in the Hetalia guild today? Term starts again tomorrow. Not looking forward to it. ;_;
