@B&B - Law! I want to do Law. I currently take English Lit, History, French, Latin and Maths, although I'm probably going to drop Maths since I just can't cope with so many subjects.. nearly died this year, A2 will just be hell. @__@;; I'm generally.. quite okay at exams, ASes.. well they seemed fine but the more I think about them the more I panic.. especially Eng. Lit D:
The accommodation, btw, at Oxbridge is very cheap, at least compared to other southern cities, esp. London. Just something to keep in mind. English sounds good, I was going to do that but then realised Law suited me better.. (:
By the way - a piece of advice - if you're sure you want to do English at university then the double Eng AS is fine but if there is any chance of you changing your mind then I would only take Literature and choose another 'hard-core' subject [sciences, maths, languages, humanities] if I were you, because that way you'll be sure of not being looked down upon at Oxbridge and other prestigious universities.

I'm pretty aware of the "consequences"... lol... Thank you for telling me. smile But I really love English, and I'm almost 90% sure I want to do it for university. The other choice of mine to study is psychology, but I highly doubt that will be possible, judging from my subjects, lol... But it doesn't matter. English it will be! Must be confident! 3nodding sweatdrop *sigh*
Ooh, Law? Well, good luck! 4laugh Tis a good subject, I hope you succeed. Actually, I'm sure you will! What are your other uni choices so far? We only do four subjects at my school - we're not actually allowed to do five, unless we request to be an exception. I suppose my school knows what it's doing, lol. sweatdrop

Mmn, our school said that we weren't allowed either, but when term started I was told that they 'wouldn't stop me'.. xD
I'm thinking of applying Cam., LSE, UCL, Durham, and probably Manchester. It seems quite pointless applying for something which doesn't ask AAA for Law since.. well.. any university worth going to asks AAA.. -__-" annoyingness.
I love English too (: it is totally amazing. Although I must say I didn't enjoy AS as much as GCSE, but then A2 looks much better than AS so it's okay.

t0sh, want it PM'd then? Originally I just had it out, but I hated it when random people added me when I don't even know who the hell they are. Only two people that I knew from Gaia added me from there. I remember talking to vanillasoda/Shirley for awhile, but not a whole lot. PX

lawyers earn good money. (except for Countries like Indonesia and Malaysia where bribery is a common thing among people so they dont really need lawyers - well, certain lawyers) but yeah, u can get good prospects....
for me, at one point of time.. i did intend to take law.... i thought it was really cool and interesting until i actually have a few law electives.. gonk
In the end im glad i didnt major in it.
too much reading and memorizing of case studies.. whereas some the cases are interesting.. i just dont like memorizing the exact sections (eg, the given case study is similiar/the same as section 201(3A) of Companies act).. the book is so thick (+ the font is tiny).. it's so hard to remember.... so that's what i hate about studying law.. other than that it's alright..

well.. not to discourage you guys.. xD just that i found out law is not my cup of tea..

Added Crow & B&B <3 Yeah.. apart from there was this article on BBC about how solicitors get really stressed & stuff.. but that stuff about like learning cases and reading textbooks with tiny font and stuff - I actually like that kind of thing.. so I think it will suit me. (: I'm not studying it specifically because I want to be a lawyer, more that it really interests me.. and because with a Law deg from a good university you can go on to do like a million things.. ^^;; @B&B - Yeah the GCSEs always come out like a week after the A-levels.. >__<;; not sure if it's a good thing or not xD @jingle - Well if I get into a Law undergrad course then I'll be able to tell you all about it.. ^__^;;
