I love it because how Hex is treated by DC is basically an encapsulation of the state of the industry in general.
He debuted in a 'variety' mag and was popular so got his own spin-off title, like dozens of other DC characters. When the Crisis occured they drastically revamped him, like other characters (even if his failed stateside, it was really popular overseas. Go fig.)
He got his 'tribute' appearance in the animated Batman series. In fact, he was only the second non-Bat character to get the tribute (after Zatanna). He made odd random appearances in comics for many years, including the Legion of Superheroes, Superman, and others.
After the success of the Sandman and "Dances with Wolves", he got shuttled off into Vertigo for a couple years. In the Xtreme Makeover attitude of the late 90's, Lady Hex showed up.
And now, in the nostalgist era, he gets a new solo title. 3nodding

Jonah Hex Whether you absolutely love all of the looks your character has had or not, you gotta admit that they're a part of the character. 3nodding

George Sloane biggrin There was a line towards the end that I can't remember that I really loved. I need to dig out my copies and re-read it. Which I should do anyway, so I can get to work on the Birds-badge. ninja EEEEE! heart Which line? Is it THE line?

It's the one about, "[Carla's father] died believing in you." I can't remember it, though, and it really bothers me.
And now, I must be off everyone! Bye!

Yeah. And you can always hope he'll accidentally kinetically charge them in a fit of blind pain.
