Tilting her head, she was surprised as he sank to the ground. A sound of concern in her voice when she spoke; "It is not out of fear or lack of trust that I ask .. though what is it you are going to do? My master never spoke to me about love, I am confused. My apologies."

Reeve put his hand on his chest and spoke but two words. the symbols on his hands began to change suddenly, intil they made two completely new symbols. Slowly they began to glow white, as Reeve seemed to reach his hands into his own chest.

"Reeve!" she cried in worrt. Falling to her knees also, she reached toward him but thought better of it and retracted her hands.

Reeve smiled, though his eyes were shut tight. This hurt more than he thought it would, but he was willing to do it. Finally finding what he wanted, he began to pull his hands from his chest. After a bit of a struggle, his hands were finally out and in them there was a shining, silver jewel. The jewel was of a decent size, but from it there seemed to be some unseeable power. "This... I want to give this to you..."

Watching him, she was surprised with what he did. Looking at him with question and worry, she made no move to take it yet. It was at this moment she realized she sensed something but did not know what. There were a great many things to think of now, she was deeply concerned about whatever it is he had just done. "Please Reeve .. what is this? What have you done? Is .. is this bad for you?"

"Well, this..." Reeve said, slightly drained. Despite that, he tossed the Jewel in the air and caught it again. "Is a part of my soul. It's a part untouchable for use of my own power, but could very well kill me if anything happens to it." He smiled a bit, seeming even more drained by the second. "It has bad immediate effects, but I sould be fine pretty soon here. But this is how I tend to stay with you. If you accept it, your stuck with me even after I die..."

Noticing that he seemed weakened by this, she moved to his side. "Please, let me hold you." she said softly, easing an arm around his waist again. Looking up at him, she still hesitated and worried for his well being. "I worry for your safety and I still seek to know more. I do not mean to be so a**l, I just .. want what is best for you. I am .. I am just Ziven .. I am not worth going through such an act of.. of .." she trailed off again, each word she spoke softer than the previous. Barely knowing how to express herself, she again felt emotion that seemed to cause her physical pain. Now, with what she was feeling, it felt as if something inside her was sucking her chest and stomach against her backbone to the point where she could hardly speak, trying to determine if this was real or emotions.

"This isn't going to harm me... but if you do not wish to have it..." He was starting to nod off. With a single thought the jewel vanished. "I'm going to sleep now..." He said as he went limp, even his breathing stopped. For a moment he seemed as if he were dead, but soon his breathing began once again. He was only there for a moment though, soon after falling asleep he vanished as if he were never there at all.

There were one too many things happening in a short moment. Holding him when he went limp, she looked at him for a moment, wanting to tell him she would hold him and stay with him until he woke. Before she knew it, he was gone. Staring at her empty arms for a moment, she was in shock, not knowing if he was well, not knowing when she might see him again. Burying her face in her hands, she began to sob. This could be seen only for a few seconds before she too disappeared.

Reeve walked away from the RDS, wanting to get as far away as he could for now. Thoughts whirled throughout his mind, some good but many bad. Soon, he felt he was far anough away and sat upon the floor. "How confusing this is..." He said to himself. "I wonder if this is why my people left this world. Not to find power, but to escape..." He finished and sighed, pulling out this flute. He began to play the first song that his mother ever taught him, one that told of sorrow and darkness.

Reeve finished the song and laid down. He felt odd, but that was to be expected. Soon the part that he took out of himself would fill with something else, and apart of him opened that it would be anger. His mentor had always told him that anger was the best fuel for battling. Perhaps he would lose himself like he had done before... But the thought didn't seem to bother him. As the images of his past filled his mind, he found himself taking it in without becoming sad, having no fear of himself.

Kain rose from the shadows and dropped the food beside Reeve. "Sir, what do you intend to do? I know you are willing to fight Yawgmoth... but why? You have done many things, but you always thought them out first."
"Why?" Reeve asked, putting away his flute. Such a question left a sick taste in his mouth. "You want to know why Kain? Here's why: If I can kill that man who commands the darkness, fancies himself to be a god and has that much power, then I can probably kill next to anyone." Reeve stood, the air around him getting thicker. The air pressure suddenly rose dramaticly and the ground began to shake. The symbols on his arms began to slide around his arms. "And it will be fun Kain, even if I die..." The smile on his face was twisted, and slowly the power that surrounded him began to change. The energy was... strange to feel. Imagine the feeling of nothing but emptiness. The absence of everything. That was the power coming from Reeve.
Kain watched, taking a step back. "I see... Master, am I still needed?"

Reeve tilted his head to the side. Dropping his head, he could no longer feel any presence in the earth around him. His energy had sucked it dry... He had not focused on keeping himself in check, it seemed. Hearing Kain he tilted his head. "Kain, was it wise for me to get attatched to another?" There was a pause before he spoke again. "My Ment... My father once told me never to do so. He told me that the people I came to love would either leave me or die from my hands, even if that is not what I wanted. I did not understand untill I killed those innocent people. Their cries amused me, and I enjoyed feeling their life slip away." His smile faded a bit as he spoke. That was why he kept to himself normally, his fear of what he might do. "Father crafted me to be the ultimate murderer, telling me that the only person I would have was myself. Even you, who has never had a thought against me, is only with me because of fear. Afraid of what I might do to you. So, I'll ask again, was it wrong for me to get attatched?"
Kain was silent. The figure knew not what to say, nor what to do. It was true what its Master said, Kain was deathy afraid of Reeve. The emptiness it felt when it touched Reeve's thoughts... void of everything yet filled at the same time. It had seen the life sucked from creatures while Reeve slept, and even seen first hand what the man did when he wanted to kill. Even for Kain, these events were horrific. Finally it spoke, "Perhaps Sir... it was wrong. If I had not come the last time you slept, she may have died without knowing the reason why. Even now she speaks to Yawgmoth about you, wondering if you keeps something from her..." Kain, when it boiled down to it, was much more human than he normally seemed. Events had made him this way.

Reeve was silent for a moment as he thought things over. "I see..." He began to walk slowly, off in his own little dream world. "In order to keep things from a person, there has to be a reason to keep them. If only she had asked..." Continuing to walk, he suddenly cut the chords that held him and Kain together. There was not longer a bond there. "Go do what you will then, Kain... no, I suppose you no longer bare that name. Creature, you are free to go." The wind picked up, and Reeve was suddenly gone. Now no one would know where he was, he would truely be alone for once.
Kain stood there, stunned. It felt very alone suddenly, a feeling that all creatures must feel at one point or another. It sank into the shadows, going to a place where it could feel the presance of another.

She rose from the earth just outside the bar, a sad look on her face. She sat down on the steps of the bar, deciding that she did not want to go in and face some of the people in there. How alone she felt, being cut off like that. She was now greatly confused about what she should do. Find him? Leave him alone? What?
