"Maki..." he said softly
he ran his 15 year old hands through his hair like when he was 11, he had done that a lot "god Nate... people think were GAY!!" he yelled down at the floor "the guys on the team won't even look at me... they make me change in another room because of that"

He looked down at the floor. He figured it out with out asking. he was maybe 11. It was a difficult time for them. They really weren't sure what was going on between them. It was easier for Maki then him. "I'm sorry..... I can go if you want." He said softly.
She turned to face the bed, leaning on the dresser. "Is everything okay?"

"it's like when we were little... he's confused" he said softly
he looked up with wide eyes "no... I..." he sighed softly and shook his head a little "just don't leave"

He nodded and drew his leg up, resting his chin on his knee and biting his bottom lip. He wrapped his arms around his leg. He didn't know what he was going to do. He felt alone with out his Maki.
She crawled on to the bed and knelt next to him. "Meaning he might have forgotten again?"

he blinked up at Nate a little "what happened to Melany?"

"yeah... I was supposed to meet her after the game... she had something to tell me" he explained "the head cheer leader..."

"Oh I don't know." He was trying to remember what was gong on with Maki and Melany. He couldn't remember.
"Oh joy. He gets to be confused all over again. I hope Nates taking it okay."

"I know" he sighed and sat up, he turned to look out the window a little

He just shook his head. He felt awkward all over again. Not sure how to act around Maki. When he thought he was five that was easy but now it was confusing.
she knelt behind him and wrapped her arms around his shoulders, "Are you okay?" She whispered. She rested her head on his shoulder.

he nodded a little "yeah... but if he's 11 again... that's when he had the big foot ball injury... he almost couldn't play again"
"you have the legs for it... go try out" he laughed a little, eyes sparkling with happiness again

"well... he was still kind of scrawny when he was 11... but because he could run and he was small they drafted him to the high school team... he was clobbered by a senior"
"well... what are you waiting for?" he laughed again and swung his feet a little

He shrugged, "Never really had the motivation to do it."
"Why would they put him on a high school team. Are they insane." She sat back a little.
