Rex awaited the arrival of Shaydas and anyone who would show up. He decided to set up a teleporter pad to use on the return trip. A group of scientists looked over at him from a far.

Nick observed the area around him with a bit of discontent. Anyone mind if I head a little North? I've been wanting to do this for a while. There was nothing he really wanted to catch in the area, but there was indeed something interesting to the North.

Shaydas turned just in time to get hit squarely between the eyes. He fell over as the ball rolled to the ground. His necklace rolled away and a Plusle peeked out of the grass to see what was going on. It picked up the Ball and examined it. Satisfied, it ran off with the necklace. When Shaydas came to, he realized immediately that he had lost it. "Come on!" he yelled, frustrated.

"Are you okay?" Rex asked him. This seemed to frequently happen.
A scientist finally approached them. "Excuse me but could we enlist the two of you in assisting us?" The scientist asked.

Nick stood close to the spinning dirt patch. With curiosity, he poked at it. Suddenly, there was a cry and a small Pokemon burst through the earth and onto the ground. "Drilbur!" a mole-looking creature cried. "Just what I wanted." Nick smiled, reaching for his Poke Balls. "Go, Zero!" he called out his Totodile.

"Use Aqua Tail!" Nick ordered. Before Zero could even attack, the speed of Drilbur alone had overwhelmed him with a powerful and swift Rapid Spin. It did not hurt too much, but Zero was taken aback enough to make its attack miss. "Totodile!" he cried out. "It's okay, Aqua Jet!" Nick commanded. This time, Zero overcame Drilbur's speed and rammed into it with a stream of water adding to his power.

"Dri Dri!" the female Pokemon cried out. It then ran at Nick's Totodile with a devastating Slash attack, which almost brought Zero down, scoring a critical hit. "T-To..." Zero grunted. "One more, Zero. You can hold on! Use Aqua Jet once more!" Nick encouraged. The Pokemon nodded as the wild mole Pokemon Scratched at it before unleashing a powerful Aqua Jet, boosted by Torrent.

"Good job, Zero! Go, Poke Ball!" Nick tossed the Poke Ball at the Drilbur, which had been blown across the room and into the wall. One shake, two shakes, three shakes... Capture! "Yeah!" Nick celebrated, recalling Zero and approaching his Poke Ball. "I dub thee Ms. Xmas!" he smiled.

Shaydas opened his mouth to correct the scientist, but thought better of it. He didn't like being "owned" by somebody, especially Rex. He nodded in agreement with Rex. His first priority was to get his Ultra Ball back. He looked around and realized what else was missing. "Where did Nick run off to?" he asked.

Shaydas sighed. "Yeah, I saw the Time Flower's recording, too," he pointed out. "You're not the only Aura Guardian in Aqua. Anyway, I guess I'll go with you. Lead on."
