Shaydas looked up at Maddy for the first time in several minutes. "You murdered your sister?" he repeated, almost unsure that his keen senses hadn't caught that right. When he was sure he wasn't mistaken, he asked, "Why was it so important for you to become a full demon? I'm just curious."

Treecko crawled along the wall to the kitchen and opened up the fridge(after a great amount of effort). He picked out a Oran Berry Soda and closed the fridge. He went back over to the couch and turned on the tv.

So many dreams were broken and so much was sacrificed
Was it worth the ones we loved and had to leave behind? Maddy sighed sadly.
"Well, she was the one who wanted to be full demon to try and take over the human world. So I did what I had to do..." she said, crossing her arms. "We didn't have the best relationship anyways..."So many years have past, who are the noble and the wise?
Will all our sins be justified?

Shaydas reached under his cloak. He searched the pockets furiously, as if trying to make sure he had something important. He finally withdrew a photo and showed it to Maddy. It showed Shaydas and his team at Shaydas' home in Phenac City. "As much as I miss my human family sometimes," he said, "Pokémon feel like a better family. Maybe it's because I can relate better to them."
He looked over at Treecko. "Say, when's Rex supposed to be back?" he asked the gecko Pokémon.

"He's late." Treecko replied, taking a sip of soda. "Bleh!" Treecko spit it out. He examined the can and learned the drink was expired. "Nasty stuff..."

"Aqua is the only family I have left now..." she mumbled. She stood up and jumped back down onto the ground. "Anyways, I must be leaving. See ya!" She teleported out.So many years have past, who are the noble and the wise?

After Maddy left, Shaydas put the photo away. "Soda not what it's cracked up to be there, Treecko?" he laughed. "Word to the wise: Check the expiration date before you drink it."

"Shut up..." Treecko sighed.
Rex appeared through the teleporter. "Hey Shaydas, Hey Treecko!" Rex smiled. He sat down next to Treecko.

Shaydas took a second to collect himself before replying to Rex. After he caught his breath, he said, "What's up, Rex? Long time no see. You might wanna teach your pal to read the label on food."

"Not much really...." Rex said. "Scheduling a trip."

"Of course." Rex got out his TADS. He began typing:
Going on a trip to Unova, meet me in the Common Room if your interested.
Rex closed his TADs and then turned his attention back to Shaydas. "So...." Rex said, trying to start up a conversation.

"Um..." Shaydas mumbled, trying to think of how to break the awkward silence Rex created. "I've gotta go to Phenac to get my team real quick, just on the off chance we run into anything out there." He ran to the teleporter and was transported to his base in Phenac City. He was only gone for a few moments before returning to the HQ with his partners at his heels. Mudkip looked about the common room, fascinated by the new place it was in.

"Well looks like its just you and me today Shaydas." Rex said. He began pressing buttons on the control panel. A small space rift opened up, flower petals floated through. There was also the faint sounds of computers beeping. Rex stepped through, appearing on Route 6 of Unova.
He had not noticed Nick, he was just too excited.
