Thanks for error'n my post.
Anyway -- Stream, I don't think much of anything is original anymore. Just watching the trailer screamed "XMEN" to me for a low-IQ audience.

Anyway -- Stream, I don't think much of anything is original anymore. Just watching the trailer screamed "XMEN" to me for a low-IQ audience. There's plenty of originality these days, you just have to look for it. When you take a typical premise or old story and put a new spin on it, it is very much a work of originality. An incredible example? The Michael Crighton book titled "Eaters of the Dead". It took the story of Beowulf, the oldest surviving poem recorded in the first identifiably written form of the English language (we're talking 800AD or so here) and put it in a historically plausible setting. As a matter of fact, its replacement of the monsters encountered in the myth to a tribe of picts was so compelling that it was made into a blockbuster motion picture... which you might have seen, under the name of "The 13th Warrior"... Creativity starts with inspiration... sometimes the artist strays far from his inspiration, and sometimes they make the little twists and tweaks that add up to a truely awesome and inspired remake.

Tsukasa Elric On an unrelated tangent, Honey and Clover really is awesome. xd heart Mayama is too cool for school, Morita is ridiculously funny, and Hagu is freakin' cute. whee H&C absolutely wins. I managed to get episode 11 finished and watched. whee Don't know if I'll have time to get 12 before I leave, but I'm going to try. Morita absolutely wins. heart

Zero Omega Tsukasa Elric 3.14 Is it just me, or are the 'Gaia Anti-Nubkin Defenders' a bunch of no-nothing prats? Going by their title, I'm gonna say that they're idiots. Speaking of idiots, someone has tried to add me to their friendlist 3 times now. Each time I've turned them down they ask why. Each time I say the same thing. Each time they try to add me again. Some people can't take hints! gonk Sounds like the AG chat last night. xd "Zomg I'm back again, and I hate you! Fik you!"

Which, of course, probably covers about 300 other comics/TV shows/movies/animations, if you reduce it to that. It's impossible to create something that cannot be compared to something else, especially if one opts to oversimplify it enough.
