Maddy walked into HQ. Her hair was a little longer than it was the last time she was here and she was covered in some fresh cuts.
"Ah, it's good to be back!" she said, stretching and lying down on the wall. "Anybody here?"

Shaydas skidded into the common room of the HQ on a random Squirtle's shell. He came to a stop and called back to the Squirtle's Trainer. "Fifty four feet!" he shouted. "That's a new record! I think waxing the floor helped a lot." He hopped off the Squirtle and looked about the room. Before saying anything, he picked up the Squirtle, who ducked inside its shell, and slid it along the floor toward the Aqua grunt. The grunt marked something on a clipboard before leaving to whatever he was supposed to do.
Shaydas turned his attention to the room again and asked, "Anybody home?"

So many dreams were broken and so much was sacrificed
Was it worth the ones we loved and had to leave behind? Maddy walked in through the teleporter. Her cuts from yesterday were completely healed and her hair was finally tamed.
"Hello!" she said, greeting the boy in the room with her. "Hmmm... Have we met?"So many years have past, who are the noble and the wise?
Will all our sins be justified?

Shaydas looked at Maddy. "I don't think we've met," he said slowly. "I'm Shaydas. Before you try anything, I'd advise against trying to catch me." He pulled down his hood to emphasize the point. He also pulled out his Ultra Ball necklace and continued. "Already caught myself." He held out a paw in greeting.

Was it worth the ones we loved and had to leave behind? Maddy blinked. "Interesting. Never seen an actual Pokemon as a trainer before." she said, jumping up onto the ceiling and sitting there.

Shaydas laughed. "It's a long story," he chuckled. "Just a combination of luck and fate that brought me here instead of the Orre wasteland. You say you're Demon Overlord? Can't say I've heard somebody use that title before."

She stretched out and lay down on the ceiling.So many years have past, who are the noble and the wise?

"I guess my story isn't quite so long that I can't shorten it a little," Shaydas began thoughtfully, leaning against a wall. "I used to be human. One day, I woke up as a Lucario. My family didn't take too kindly to that and kicked me out. I more or less raised myself in the wastes of Orre. Drifted into Phenac and stayed there for a while until I joined Aqua. I still stay there when I'm not on a mission or here." He looked out one of the seaview windows, remembering his past.

"I murdered my sister with my own hands in order to become a full demon..." she said, becoming quiet. Thinking of her sister made her think of her mother. Did her mother even know yet?So many years have past, who are the noble and the wise?
