Meta_Fish Whoa, this is awesome! There's a shield, so sandbag won't fall off as easily, so now the mechanic is really changed. Two players smashing on it just sounds awesome. It will really require a lot of communication, and no one will just be able to sit around by themselves and spend hours getting the best score. That alone is such an awesome feature. To get the highest records, you need to have a friend. The competition mode looks sweet, too. I wonder if the game will have any other "mini-games" like this online. When I thought about things they could add to online play, I thought that maybe they'd add some Wiimote functioning mini-games, but if they just do things like this that we're used to, it would be awesome. And online play for something else. Wow. Now you have TWO people sitting around for hours getting the best score! Yay!

Huh. You know what just struck me? I wonder if you can display your trophy collection online?
Sorta like the Achievement system on crack.

The nerd-frog is really glad that the home run contest is back. He is also happy that there is online capability. He still doesn't like that you can only do it with the 'friends list' system... The stages are also very appealing, and the snapshots are going to be awesome.

Don't worry about the delay. It just means that the game will be more interactive and have better moves for the new characters. I will still use the Gamecube controller myself. Beware, since it has Wi-Fi you will be targeted by the greatest Smash contestants in the world, including me.

Awesome update. They've improved pretty much everything that made the Home-Run contest so frustrating in SSBM, and slapped online mode on it to boot!
I wonder how online co-op will work effectively though, seeing as you can't talk with the other person to coordinate your strategy. >.>
Unless they're going to announce that sometime later...

spanishbo4 who is gunna be in the game? Me. You can unlock it by clapping in your hands twice, draw a pentagram with your nunchuck while making a jerking movement with your Wiimote. ITZ RLLY STRONG. Oh, and you can find the rest on Smashbros.com.

The only character I could knock the sandbag far with before was Yoshi. The other characters made the sandbag fall off. The shield addition really is gonna help me raise my scores.

Hmmm...I never tried Ganondorf actually and the only reason I'm good with Yoshi is because I wanted to unlock the N64 field.

His Dair is something I mastered, and I just substituted his fsmash for the bat so that I could spend more time on the Dairs and less time grabbing the bat.

My next best after Yoshi was DK. his regular down move doesn't have any knockback, and bury Sandbag into the ground, a couple forward smashes (or more), grab a bat real quick, and BAM.
900-1000 yds. woo!

3nodding I am so excited for this game! It really will be amazing. They finally let sonic in which is great considering how long everyone has wanted him, all tghe other newcomers will definatly add some great new aspects to the game. and the wall around the sandbag platform will definatly make that game a Whole lot less frustrating! (Me:"whadda mean that was only 10 feet!" Friend:You fell off... )
