As Alice flashed past her, Dani urged her broomstick to greater speed to catch up and she readied herself for her attempt to pluck the Snitch out of the air.

In her efforts to try to catch the Snitch, Dani nearly fell from her broomstick, and she held on for dear life, and watched as Alice's fingers seemingly brushed the tiny orb but she was unable to pluck the prize from the air. With grim determination, she made another attempt to grab.

When Dani finally grabbed the little ball, and held it aloft for Professor Jones to see and authenticate the goal, she felt relief rather than elation. She hadn't expected it to take so long, nor so many tries. She, of course, felt badly for Alice and the other Hufflepuffs. Alice had been in there with her the whole time, and Cathy's crew of Chasers and Beaters performed magnificently. It was only pure dumb luck that she managed to get the Snitch.
As soon as oppourtuntity presented itself, Dani gave the Seventh Year Seeker a warm hug, and told her, "Thanks, you gave me a real run for my Galleons. You guys were positively brilliant today."
Dani landed on the pitch, and didn't allow the broom to stop hovering until she'd summoned a walking stick, so she could start making her way up to the Hospital Wing, after giving Cathy a hug, of course.

Ravenclaw was good of course, but that didn't mean that she had any plans for her team not to give them a good challenge. She sat down on the bench for the moment, checking her make-up and hair in a hand mirror as she waited on her team and the Ravenclaws to arrive.

Now she just felt like she might as well walk away from any shot at winning the Quidditch cup. They were certainly in a rut when it came to winning... : ___________/___________ --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lola noted she was the first Ravenclaw on the field and the first player on the field beyond the seeker and the Captain of the Hufflepuff team who was busy checking her make-up and hair by the looks of it. Really? Lola stood flabbergasted for a moment at the thought. You are about to get bludgers hit at you and probably end up all sweaty fighting for the quaffle or whatever and you are worried about your make-up? Lola hoped for the upperclassman's sake the make-up was water-proof. Also, Lola figured beyond the seeker who might make a good target for her. That vanity was just obnoxious.

 Location: Quidditch Pitch - Hufflepuff vs. Ravenclaw Jasper raced after Alice and down to the field. He had been trying to cheer her up but she was stuck on believing that she was a terrible Seeker. Seeing Cathy he smiled at her before looking back at Alice. "Hey don't worry about the game. Win or lose you're going to be great." he told her. Alice looked over at him and gave him a reassuring smile. However, she was aware he could see right through it. Lexine walked onto the pitch a little nervous. The last game had gone well, but this was the only match she'd won so far. Hufflepuff did indeed have a chance. She quickly pulled her hair back as she walked slowly up to to Alice and Jasper. She gave them a quick "Good luck, guys," before walking off to her own teammates.
