It's been a while since I've taken a listen. But last I remember, they don't exactly sound the same, but it makes my head hurt, and it's still gross to me.
Of course no one has the right to. But I'm going to say it anyway, because that's how I feel. If I don't like it, ******** it.
Uhm. Sorry I think it's s**t? There's your proof.
I was making a point. You people say that there's nothing else in Japanes music besides probably three genres. Of course you wouldn't know that because you've never "gone deeper." Well I only see a couple genres listed in CD stores. So you know there's more genres than the ones listed. THEN YOU SHOULD KNOW THERE'S MORE IN JAPANESE, TOO.
I've heard stuff like it. Don't ask me what song, or band. I don't remember things I don't want to.
Even if it isn't all the same, it is to me.

A comment on the music thing..
You guys are also comparing within genres. If all American music sounds the same, than does Hilary Duff sound the same as Eminem?
:shrug: I have my issues with some mainstream and some American music, but I really love all types. I might be a bigger fan of those whiny a** boys and girls, but so what? Music is music, and if you find a type you love and appreciate, than keep listening to it. Listen to what makes you happy and buy it or download it or whatever. It shouldn't be about what is better or worse, it should just be about what makes you get up and dance or makes you feel better when you've had a bad day or if it's that one song you just can't stop listening to.

But everyone knows about America's mixed genres, you ask someone in America about Japanese music and they'll say J-rock, j-pop, etc. Not J-classical, J-blues, J-jazz. Edit: And I know there are probably more Japanese genres out there, but do you see it as mainstream as American music genres? No. I've seen film from Japan, hell, I have a friend who visited. Actually, I wouldn't get defensive. A lot of people don't like it even in Japan, so I wouldn't blame them.

Anyone want to do some avatar art for me? I can give you.. a little gold ^^;. Like, 1.2k at the moment. I don't want anything fancy or flashy, just some artwork. Doesn't even have to be colored. And going through the commisions forum, I don't think I'm going to find anything I like for the price I want.
So, I'll pay whatever you want if you give me some art ^^ and I won't let you give it to me for free!

Zero Omega Peppermint Elf *bounces in* I got a beggar today! That makes a grand total of 2 since I've joined Gaia! whee It's a lucky day! biggrin I get people who ask if I'm single and that I'm hot. I get nothin'. cool Maybe if I actually put forth some effort outside the guild, but Gaia really doesn't have much more pull anymore... Other than stuff. Because stuff is good.
