Heiharu Jack o Blades IF you really really wanted to find some good music youd have to dig deep deep deep into that music genre to find soem music that truely is good. Sadly most people dont give a fck. All American music seems to sound the same to me neutral So... I'm not going to dig deep to find something I can find on the surface.

Musuu Streamjumper Musuu Zero Omega Musuu How is NASCAR a sport? Seriously. neutral
You do more "extreme" driving on the highway than NASCAR. Because of the fact you're racing at insane speeds in a box? Sounds like highway driving.
Or a rollercoaster. The kind of reflexes and control it takes to drive inches from the rear bumper of the car in front of you at over 100 miles an hour while dealing with passing and being passed coupled with the endurance it takes to withstand the g's, vibrations, and heat levels, and the kind of experience and judgement it takes to hit the precise shifts and take the turns at nearly top speed. Trust me, I have no like of nascar, but a metric ******** of respect for the driver's abilities. Still sounds like highway driving.
And I don't think condition, as in withstanding gs and vibrations, should be a factor if something is a sport or not.So deep diving without an oxygen tank isn't a sport either? Its a competition based totally around physical and mental conditioning with the sole goal of dealing with withstanding an enviromental condition. The difference between a sport and everyday activity is that a sport involves competition against willing competators (most people on the highway aren't pushing the same envelope as a NASCAR driver), and pushing your body to great extremes, whether they be endurance, speed, or strength. Saying that NASCAR isn't a sport because you drive everyday is like saying that running isn't a sport because people engage in walking and running everyday.

Musuu Haha my friend made a funny point.
"Turning left is not a sport. Running into fat men is not a sport."
But, anyway.
Rap to me isn't music -- it's horrible poetry to a rhythm neutral ... ... D= I've argued this too often, so I'll let somebody else do it for me since it's like 2:35 at night. Essential reading.

Not my cup of tea, but it definitely takes a lot of skill.

Musuu Still sounds like highway driving. Musuu, how does this: "The kind of reflexes and control it takes to drive inches from the rear bumper of the car in front of you at over 100 miles an hour while dealing with passing and being passed coupled with the endurance it takes to withstand the g's, vibrations, and heat levels, and the kind of experience and judgement it takes to hit the precise shifts and take the turns at nearly top speed." Compare to driving 65 miles per hour on a straight (most of the time) behind a few people who have different destinations? I've seen NASCAR live and I honeslty don't see how it compares to highway driving. Musuu All American music seems to sound the same to me neutral So... I'm not going to dig deep to find something I can find on the surface. But if you're willing to dig down to find if American music sounds the same or not, then how can you justify your reason for not listening to it? Are you going to tell me that classic rock and new rock sound the same? That mainstream rap and classic rap sound the same? That classic punk and and new/hardcore punk sound the same? C'mon now. Musuu I listen to J-rock and J-pop for a reason neutral What reason would that be? Because Japanese music sounds different? Every country's music will sound the same and sound different at the same time. I bet you anything that there are a few mainstream Japanese artists that sound the same, just like American artists.

Malaryush I think I've alluded to it, and/or mentioned it to a few people, but I figured I'd say it in the guild just in case... So nobody wonders. I'm moving out of my apartment next Saturday (one week to pack...eek gonk ) and going to move back in with my parents. At this point, I hold no hope for anybody contacting me about a job in time that I can move straight into my own place. sweatdrop My computer may or may not be going into storage, but chances are slim that I'll be hooking it up while I'm there anyway, since there's really no place for it now. (In the past, if I brought my computer home for a time, I'd put it on the kitchen table, but there is no longer a kitchen table due to the macaws. Birds own the kitchen. xp ) Since there's only one phone line, and I'll need it for employer contact (if anybody ever actually cares to contact me gonk ) it'll be pretty off-limits for online access except late at night. The point: I'm not going to be around very much until I have a job. So expect to see dramatically less of me in the future. Actually, once I have a job, I may not be around very much either, depending on my hours. sweatdrop Less Mala = lose.

Streamjumper Man, this is why I can't have any nifty toys... I keep breaking them. I've been getting a laugh out of reading that guild that bitched about Meuf, so I told one of their members (that Iolanthe chick) what I thought of their their uber-coolness... so she locked the guild down to the hidden level, apparently just now realizing that private doesn't mean people can't read the posts within. Continue to break your toys, Stream. The rest of us find it to be quite amusing. xd
