Warrior of Light"Though I once fought in the name of light, that honor may now be lost to me. However...
The light I hold within my breast, never once has it flickered or faded.
This I swear: I shall do my utmost to protect you until the very end." Shortly after Kefka's burst of energy, and Terra losing her confidence, another presence would enter the scene. A powerful presence, which had been bathed in the light and upheld its virtues with each and every breath he took.
The clanking of metal could be heard from behind Terra, one after another as the man ran to the scene. Terra would feel herself grabbed by the arm, not too harshly, and pulled backwards, as the Warrior of Light stepped in front of her, protectively. She may or may not remember him, just like Kefka may or may not, depending on if they retained memories from the Conflict of the Gods. Some did, some did not, but it mattered not to the armor-clad warrior. Terra was his comrade--and he would not see her suffer.
"If you've so much strength as you wish for us all to believe, why do you waste your time trying to intimidate a young woman? What purpose does this serve?" The warrior asked Kefka, unfazed by his large quantities of power. Light was far from weak himself. He had slain a god once, and would not hesitate to do so again. "You claim to have the power of a god, but it is only that: a claim. What I see before me is no god. I see naught but the delusional shell of a man who finds joy in causing the suffering of those weaker than him, Who, when spoken back to, throws a tantrum., not unlike that of a child." Reaching for Excalibur, the Warrior drew his blade, his eyes never leaving Kefka's. "If you believe yourself strong enough to destroy this world, then allow me to show you why that will never transpire. Allow me to show you that I will not allow you to harm my allies." He was his usual, unflinching self. He didn't realize Terra was in danger until he had neared the mansion, and seen the destruction. He had rushed towards it, and while doing so, saw Terra and her nemesis here. Terra seemed to be on the verge of a breakdown, so he felt it best to intervene. (( OOC: ))

"I am a God!"
"To say that Kefka was pissed would have been an understatement. The fact that he was seething with rage may have been a small factor in why he did not feel the newcomer approach. However, as he drew near it was hysterically obvious to Kefka that the real reason he couldn't tell was because the man was just that weak. Pathetically so. He was barely a blip on the radar compared to Terra, or even her newly found daughters.
But it mattered not. He would not allow anyone, whoever they thought they may be, stop him this time. And such was made apparent when he didn't even bother to register the new man a look, only a dismissing wave of his hand. However, it was no normal dismissal. From the point between Terra and the man, to a point about thirty yards back, everything, from the smallest bits of rubble, to the largest chunks of remaining foundation, would fly towards his left and scatter. The force was, to put it mildly, incredible.
If, for some reason, the man was able to withstand such power, Kefka would have no choice but to unleash himself upon the fool. He hoped it wouldn't come to that, but he was more than willing to dance with anyone right now. He wanted blood. It had been far too long since he had tasted a real victory. And now, more than ever, he felt the crave of power ebbing away at his sanity.
His voice was large. Not uncontrolled, but full of seething rage. He spoke with a quiet fierceness that would send the terrified Terra into even deeper depths of realization. She would soon know just how serious Kefka was. That he was beyond the games. "I am done feeling the waters of this world. I am tired of fighting the urge to kill for the simple sake of killing."
He reached out and, where the other man had pulled her back he wrapped a bony hand around her throat and pulled her to stand right to where she was a moment ago. Next to him. "It does not matter anymore. My time of waiting is almost over. The deal has been sealed, Terra. Your words mark an agreement. You will do anything, as you stated. Know that, one day, I will come calling for you to hold up your end of that bargain. Until then, also know this." He let her go and pushed her back enough to make her stumble. "If anyone else, ever, interferes with one of our conversations again, be them friend, family, or foe, it will seal your fate. And theirs. I will make my promise a reality. I will destroy your life. I will make you destroy your own life. And you, more than anyone else in this pathetic, wretched world, knows that I can, and will."
He took a step back and actually turned himself around so that he was facing away from the frightened woman. He took in a deep breath, almost like he was forcibly calming himself. When he exhaled, he moved towards the two future daughters. Speaking as he walked, he said, "Now that we are allies, albeit temporary, We should feast." He looked back at Terra and asked a question with a rather serious look on his face. "Are there any good places to get food around here? I'm famished!"
"I am all-powerful!!"

      It was clear, Terra was on the verge of losing her mind, and even through her daughters words, nothing seemed to snap her from her thoughts. The sound of the heavy armored footfalls were unable to catch her attention, until suddenly, she felt herself pulled back and in front of her stood...Warrior of Light?! Of course she had not forgotten him, though she was greatly surprised to see him. She only wished the reunion could have been a more pleasant, happier one. No, it had to be this. Confronting Kefka, the thorn forever in her side.
But that also made her think. He was now in danger. As if her daughters being here wasn't bad enough, now a dear friend would be facing grave danger. So many people trying to protect her, but in the end, it did no good. She didn't want him or the girls in anymore danger. "..No..Light, please...Don't get involved. I don't want anyone else to suffer! He will not--?!?! " Her words came to a sudden end, replaced by Terra's shouting, and her quick reaction to the cast and send off of a massive flaming sphere of energy, she hoped it would incinerate all that was suddenly coming to strike Light, had he not been able to escape it in time. Though, he was very skilled, and quick, with her warning and actions, she may of just given him enough time to escape Kefka's devastating attack.
Rather it all worked or not, Terra's attention quickly returned to Kefka, but it was all in bad timing, at least on her part. The moment she turned to him, she realized just how close he was, the feeling of his long fingers around her throat sent chills down her spine. He had in those few seconds, pulled her right back to where she had previously been, which was...next to him.
"..." She froze as he began to speak. She didn't regret saying what she had earlier. She did mean it, she would do anything to keep her family safe.But what frightened her was knowing, had anyone shown up to further protect her from Kefka during his next attempt, things would get far worse. "...No..You can't..If you want this deal to stand, you will leave everyone alone. You will do as I say..! " She tried to gather her words as confidently as she could, though her shaky voice was clear that she was frightened. "You are powerful. Power isn't proven by taking away innocent lives..! It only makes you weaker. " She said, her eyes never leaving his. "You will leave my daughters alone. You will leave Cloud, Light, everyone! Alone! It's me you want, then you can easily teleport us away without hurting anyone. " She didn't want that, of course not. To be alone with Kefka? Not a chance. But it meant everyone else being safe. That was all that mattered to her.
Celestia moved with her younger sister,backing away from Kefka as he began to walk toward them. Was he completely insane? Yeah. Obviously. It made her unable to take him seriously, even. "He really is a lunitic. " The older one began to say. "Mother, don't take him seriously. His threats her as crazy as him. They will never happen." Her narrowed eyes remained on Kefka's own, watching for his every reaction. "You play off looking tough, you speak words that frighten her. But you can't fool me." Had he not just asked such a ridiculous question, she might not be saying this right now. She might of even believed his threats were true. Now? No. It was so out of place, he made absolutely no sense! DId he really believe they would sit down like a bunch of friends, eating and sharing stories? Yeah, right.

None of this mattered. The deed was done. Kefka got what he wanted, despite the interference, so he was already working an out plan. Because, let's be honest with ourselves, what great evil genius wasn't already planning on a way to run when it was needed? Exactly.
Terra's little plan to stop him may have worked for a brief second, but her tampering with fate had only prolonged her demise. No quicker had she pushed his attack to the side and said what she wanted, and then she was fading away. Yes, she was being whisked away at the whim of a crazy clown.
It was a simple spell. Relatively weak in comparison to other spells of the like, but it was effective. Teleport. So what does it do? Simple. It would take Terra and Kefka to a place of Kefka's desire, since he was the one casting the spell. And, because it was weak, it was quick enough to cast so that there most likely wouldn't be any interruptions.
So. Without further adieu. he was off. Or rather, 'they' were off. To Cosmo Canyon.

Some time later, Azura stepped inside the mansion, much like herself and those who lost their lives battling the beast were returned to life, it seemed Midgar had it's second chance as well.By the help of someone, everything was restored, including Avalanche Mansion,which everyone called it despite it actually being a castle. Had Ephraim come along with her, she had to take a moment to look around the living room. Everything was exactly as it once was.Every detail, exactly as it was before it's terrible destruction. Eventually, she found herself a seat in one of the sofa seats, kind of just waiting to see if any of the rest of Avalanche would return..................

Azura lifted her head up from the plush pillow she was laying her head back on, her faint blush creeping upon her cheeks as she tried to sit up quickly! She was hardly proper just laying sleepily on the sofa like that! "Ah...Agrias.." The mermaid princess gave her, and Yuffie who was beside her as the two walked in arm-in-arm, looking to be the best of friends. "Hello to you both..." She glanced back down at the sofa, giggling softly. "I am....This sofa is the softest in all existence! " That was a mild joke, there was still room for jokes, at least. This was a happy time, They had all won their right to live, with the near impossible defeat of the Beast. "I'm happy to see you both safe.."

Justus Wolve"I can't rest until I've realized my dream..." A soft yawn could be heard from the nearby counter that led into the kitchen. It seemed someone else was here as well... "Hey there, kids. This seems like a pretty neat place, more so after what that kid-god did." For calling other people kids, he didn't exactly look to be out of his teenage years. He propped his elbow on his shin, leaning his head against his hand lazily. "You guys seen a demon anytime lately? One with silver hair maybe." That sure narrowed it down. "Might've been with a girl in a suit..." His eyes cut to the side. "Pretty boring girl in this time, I bet." He wasn't being very discreet about his identity. "Oh! Now that I think about it... more importantly, where are some cute girls?" He smiled a toothy grin. "I mean, y'all are cute I guess... but I heard Avalanche has some serious babes. C'mon, quit hidin' 'em." This guy definitely had his priorities straight. Though when it came to dealing with said "babes," he might not sound quite as smooth.
"Oh hey, it's Azura." He raised his head to look at her. "Always with the hots for my cousin. Finally get over him?" Well, kinda-sorta cousin, anyway. "I guess I should introduce myself. Name's Justus Wolve. Stupid name I know. Dad's kinda bad with names. He's pretty dumb in general. Mother should've done all the thinking, honestly..." This guy seemed to talk a lot sometimes. "Anyway, I'm a demon! So try to stay on my good side. Otherwise, I'll show you... justice." Haha. Funny jokes. "See? Stupid name." Sure was, probably. (( OOC: ))

"..." Azura turned to the young man's voice, who had made himself comfortable much like herself, only he was at the counter that lead to the kitchen. A young teenage boy, sporting much armor and quite the bit of crimson, his blonde hair throwing her off a little.Another child from the future, it was quickly obvious! Though this one wasn't so much of a child."Hmm..Aww, how cute. Desmond and Cissnei had their selves a little boy..Aren't you just adorable! " She was teasing him, with how he seemed to enjoy calling all of them kids, she just had to mess with him a little. More so for his loud mouth! Really, was that nessesary to say? "Your mother, Cissnei was last outside. I am hoping the others will come here, everyone should need a rest after what they've been through..It would be nice for all of us to be together again, too.." At least she thought so. "As for Kaden,." Azura glanced to Ephraim, who was still standing beside the sofa she was sitting at and without warning, grabbed his arm and suddenly pulled him over to her! Her attempt was to get him to sit down beside her, which had he been pulled down next to her, Azura would then slip her hands around his arm, in a cuddling manor.."I think your still stuck in a confusing future? Those feelings for Kaden have been gone for several years..." She wasn't trying to sound rude of course, just saying it like it was. She would rather not have Ephraim leave her in some confusion that was completely not true. "This is my shiny future.." That, was a playful joke hinting at his armor being so shiny!
"Ephraim.." She said,giving him a little cuddle again. Obviously she wanted to introduce him as something more, but she kind of wanted to wait for everyone to be here to give the happy news. Or she would let Ephraim. "This here is Agrias Oaks. If you are from the future, i'm assuming you know them already? Beside her, Yuffie Liler. Nice to meet you, Justus.....Do your parents know about you yet?" .
"Hmmm.. You know, It seems like the world is being taken over by future kids. You kids are just popping up everywhere! " She grinned, giving a look-see- to both Azura and Ephraim, her grin turning to that ever so well known Yuffie grin, the one most feared, or quickly grabbed their belongings upon seeing. "So, I wonder when Azura and Ephraim's kids will show...??? Maybe they're already wandering around somewhere...! "

    Two more found their selves returning to the mansion, both Terra and Rosa both smiling to those in the living room. "I was expecting more to be here! " Terra said, as both found the sofa to the left suiting to sit, being close to the others so they could continue talking without having to speak to loudly. "This is truly wonderful, isn't it? ..It's as though nothing happened..Peace is re--" Her words were cut off as the TV's broadcast suddenly came on, cutting her off! Those inside would hear Adachi's announcement, and the anger would begin to rise of the young esper woman. "...That man..! What does he think he's doing? We all suffered, lives were lost...and he is trying to take credit for destroying the Beast? " And with that, Terra got to her feet once more, Yuffie, Azura and Rosa all looking at her. "I'm going to give him a piece of my mind. How dare he do such a thing..! " Sure, he tried to say Avalanche 'helped', and he did inform the citizens of Midgar to lay off of Avalanche, but still. She wasn't about to let him get away with this. They didn't go through all that trouble to be thought of as weak. That didn't show the rest of the enemies that they were tough, ether, so in a way, he was putting them all at a greater risk. And just like that, Terra left quickly from the mansion!
"Terra? Wait..! That might be dangerous.." But it was to late, the half-esper was already out the door! Sighing, she bowed to those inside, that was a short rest stop. She couldn't just let her go alone, even if she was going to just talk to Adachi, going to the ShinRa tower alone was never the brightest of idea's for any of them. So, Rosa too, went off after Terra. "I will come along as well. " Rydia, who was just standing in the doorway that lead to the living room said, giving a small nod to those around in the living room before departing after Rosa! Terra, Rosa and Rydia. It was quite the trio.

Justus Wolve"I can't rest until I've realized my dream...""Yeah, thanks I know. I'm pretty hot." Clearly Justus here wasn't one to be easily offended. After a moment, he shrugged. "Guess it doesn't matter. Avalanche seems pretty loosely connected. I see a lot of people from other worlds come around who have an unbreakable bond, but Avalanche seems so superficial." It did seem that way sometimes. People like Robin and Yu Narukami came to the world who found all their strength from their bonds, and treasured them more than anything else. Compared to that, the bonds between a lot of Avalanche members seemed pretty flimsy. "I don't really care. I just know he's all you seemed to think about in our time. Even when I flirted with you, you just started talking about him without reacting to anything I said." It was probable she didn't even realize he was talking, really. "Huh. He seems strong. Not as strong as dad though." He might be surprised. Considering the people Ephraim had taken down, it wouldn't be too far fetched to think he would be able to defeat Desmond or Jin. "We've, uh, met before... but yeah, hell, nice to meet you I guess. Your mind's always somewhere else anyway." Always was in their time anyway. Always on Kaden or dolphins or something. "I guess not? Haven't talked to them anyway. It'd be pretty weird if they did know."
Justus's attention went lazily to the door as three more attractive--well, two more showed up. The third one would be considered attractive too, but... Justus couldn't quite see her that way for whatever reason. "Hey, auntie looks pretty good in this time." It wouldn't be too hard to think of who he was referring to. Not that she looked bad in his time, but of course, to him he was his aunt, so he never thought about that sort of thing. "And there she goes... Eesh." Along with the other two. They seemed so high-strung about this whole situation...(( OOC: ))

And it was believed Tina was a bit high of herself, she now had compitition, it seemed. "They have their moments, but they do fix those problems. Avalanche is stronger then it seems. At least this is what I believe.." Or hoped to believe. As he began to bring Kaden back up, Azura shook her head a little."That was in the past....far..past.This talk of the future is getting to confusing for me to handle! It's not like that anymore...Back then, Was I really that obsessive? " This was becoming a little embarassing. "Sorry..Kaden was the first kind human I ever encountered when I was little. His saving me must have been the reason I was so taken by him from that point on. But, this is now. And he is no longer my future....Anyway! Let's not talk about that? I will always love Kaden, but only as a friend as I do everyone else." She had to add, she didn't want to sound as though she hated him, that was not the case...Talking about loving someone else just kind of made her uncomfortable, considering she was sitting next to the one she had fallen for now. "Hmm, You think so? Ephraim may not be a near-immortal demon, but he has taken down enemies of great power. He's amazing! Desmond would have a challenge. " She had a playful grin playing at her features..."...Um, not that I want them to fight...Don't get any idea's! "
As soon as Rydia, Terra and Rosa left the building, another was oh-so-silently creeping up on Justus. Probably not the -best- idea for anyone to sneak up on a half-demon, Teresa just seemed to have a lot of confidence nothing bad would come from her sneakiness. Before he could see who was coming up behind him, a pair of arms suddenly wrapped around his neck from behind, in a playful attempt to hug him. "Helllooooo Cousie! I wondered when you would show up..Did Hayley come too? " She was, of course, talking about his sister.

 ___ ___ __ ___ ___ "Trust me, I don't pick fights I can't win." "..." Ephraim stood from where he had been seated beside Azura. All this sitting around was bothering him, and it was probable that the talk of Azura loving Kaden was annoying him as well. But he didn't want to take it out on Justus necessarily. He glanced at Azura. "I'm going to go train a bit." He gave a small wave, before heading out the back door, into the large backyard area, which now had a small walkway along with a little fountain. Interesting choice from Nero, but it would probably be appreciated. Along with its usual plantlife and trees, anyway. Azura could follow if she wished, or stay and tell him when she wanted to spread the news.
He drew his lance, Siegmund, and began to practice his form with it. He also held his shield since it had become a huge part of his fighting style ever since he had became King of Renais. Along with wearing heavier armor, he also began using a shield and fighting with a more defensive style. He could still take a much more offensive style if necessary, as he had done when he journeyed through Magvel, but typically he was defensive. Ever since becoming king, he had thought more about protecting those he cared for, rather than rushing in to the enemy's face to take as much glory as he could.
He had grown a lot since then... Even surpassing his mentor, Duessel. He could still remember the pride on the old man's face when he had won against him. Duessel told him he had truly mastered the lance.
But Ephraim had to wonder, had he really? He continued to stab forward, his movements surprisingly quick for someone so armored. He still felt like some of his movements were clumsy, or lacked the skill he was looking for. Despite this, he had defeated countless enemies that were feared across the world. Even Astra, a demoness feared even by Jin, had fallen to him in one strike. Twice.
Not to mention he had done considerable damage to the Beast. It bothered him that he didn't land the final strike, but he could find comfort in the fact that he set it up for the killing blow at least.
But even still, he was far from perfect in his eyes. He still had a long way to go before he was satisfied with his skills. He had to be powerful enough to repel any potential threat, stalwart enough to protect all those he loved, skilled enough to clash with the most worthy adversaries and come out on top.
"HRAH!" He lunged towards a tree, driving the sacred lance into it. The tree was completely uprooted, and fell with a large crash. "..." He stood up straight, taking a deep breath. He still believed the lance was the most powerful weapon, but even still, he wondered if he was limiting himself too much. Perhaps it would do him well to learn to use other weapons, as Duessel had? The sword, the axe... both could provide him with different benefits depending on the battle. Perhaps it would do him well to hone these disciplines as well, even if his focus remained on the lance.
Pushing those thoughts aside for now, he raised his lance once more, continuing his training. For now, he would continue to try to perfect the weapon he was so attuned to."Hmm? Oh..." Justus sighed. "It's you..." He sounded SO excited to see her. "I'm sure she did. It's impossible to get away from her." He sighed again. He sounded like it was just such a burden to have such a close family, though in truth he appreciated it. He knew well how his father didn't exactly get along with his uncle, Jin, for years until circumstances brought them together. Even now it was odd for them. "I'm sure you two will be chatting about boys in no time flat, knowing you... ...Oh!" Then, his eyes came upon a stunning sight. A beautiful babe, blonde hair, serious eyes, exposed midriff and cleavage? This was his kind of girl. Sliding off the counter, he smoothly slid to her. "Hey there, little lady. You got a map? 'Cause I've gotten lost in your eyes..." Oh brother. He put his arm around her shoulders. "You know, if I could rearrange the alphabet, I'd put U and I together." He grinned. "You're like a campfire--hot, and I want s'more.""..." Ein cast her gaze to Teresa, looking quite annoyed. "If your little friend would like to keep his arms attached to his body, you should probably tell him to back away quickly.""Aw, c'mon, babe. I'm just lookin' for a bit of fun."And before the demon could really react, he felt his arm painfully twisted behind his back, and soon found his face against the carpet, with the "babe" Ein on his back. "You took too long." She told Teresa. "You think girls are objects? Weak little things for you to have fun with?" She twisted his arm a bit further. "You should meet the men I've disciplined. Maybe I should punish you just like I did them." And it wasn't nearly as pleasant as it might sound to a masochist. Just ask Jericho's father--who had both of his legs and one of his arms broken."Urgh..." Justus grunted, though kept his carefree voice pretty well in-tact. "Now I'm even more sure you're my type. Heheh- GAH!" And his arm was twisted further. "Not so rough, baby... sometimes I like it gentle."Ein's eyes went to an irritated look. "I wonder how rough you can handle. Maybe I'll start with dislocating your shoulder.""Sounds pretty hot." Justus said, and immediately let out another gasp as Ein's hold only strengthened. "You're pretty strong, for a girl. "Well! I don't think we will have to worry about fire-wood come winter.." Azura lightly joked, of course she went along with him. After feeling like she might of hurt him with that conversation she was having with Justus.One she obviously didn't want to talk about herself. Standing aside from his area of training, yet close enough that he could hear her fine, she watched him continue his training.."Are you alright, Ephraim? Please don't be upset...I was not expecting to be having that conversation myself. I don't love him, you do know that don't you? " She was so going to have to beat up Justus for this. How awkward, especially after Ephraim only just asked her to marry him. Yes, such perfect timing to start such a unnecessary topic up, Justus!
"...Well, it's great to see you too! " Teresa said with a little hmph sound, letting him go. It wasn't long before someone else caught his wandering eyes, that someone being...Ein. Teresa sighed. Not because she was jealous, but because she knew what was about to happen. His awaiting death! Just as she suspected, he just had to open his mouth with the only thing he knew how to express. His true nature of endless flirting of cute girls."You will have to forgive him, Ein..The only thing he knows is how to flirt! It's an endless game for him, so, it's best to just let him go and ignore him.." She took a few steps forward, lowering a little. "And you can't have her, Justus...She's my girlfriend!" Maybe those words, while in pain, he would get it set in his mind that flirting with Ein would only lead him into troubles!

______________"Trust me, I don't pick fights I can't win."Twisting around, Ephraim drew his lance back, hurling it forward. It went straight through one tree, and lodged itself in the next, creating a hole through the first. He stood up straight then, glancing at Azura, before going to grab his lance and pull it from the tree. He then turned to Azura, walking in her direction. "I'm hardly upset. I just don't like sitting around. You know that." Justus was being pretty annoying, though. "Nothing gets done if I just sit down and do nothing. That's why I train so much. If I have nothing better to do, I might as well be trying to perfect my fighting." He put an arm around her lower back, pulling her to him suddenly, and kissing her. He kept it brief enough. "Unless there's something more interesting you'd rather do?" He chuckled, obviously only teasing her. He was quite sure that sort of thing wouldn't happen until they were married. Releasing her now, he turned back to continue his training. "I'm fine, Azura. I hope you know that I'm not the sort to get upset over petty things like that.""Huh? Your..?" Justus blinked. "But you're a.... oh..." He began to blush..."Stop imagining it." Ein ordered."How am I supposed to do that? Two hot girls, together... embracing, making out, without any cloth-" And then Ein's elbow slammed into the back of his head, knocking him unconscious. He probably wouldn't stay unconscious too long, though."Ugh." Ein stood from her straddled position on the now unconscious Justus. She looked at Teresa, crossing her arms.
